I can see it is a good option for someone that wants or needs to keep the inverter and batteries outside (due to no room inside the home) but at $20,000 (before batteries) its an expensive option IMO. I recognize that the Sol-Ark 15k inverter is about $7,000.

Definitely not the cheapest for DIY'ER but the systemization vs an untutored DIY setup or paying a contractor to assemble this isn't outrageous. With cost of components coming down (esp. batteries) & with some added competition that will no doubt come, this looks like the future to me. Just worked on a new high end system & it was a circus, no doubt the solar outfit soaked the customer for all their fiddling & mickey mousing around.

    well said or said well...?
you know, people don't know how to price their stuff. i mean if it's just a hobby ok fine, 20,000 sure.
    why not?
i'm finding everybody wants to be rich today, 20 years, they have no interest in building wealth over time.
listen folk, people in the us are just now seeing wages of 15 dollars an hour. more and more people are refusing credit.
that means you need to price you product at a point where people can save up and buy. 20K any thing, you best believe you will be sitting on those items a long time as people save up. i know you are thinking they are not your market... ok fine. you will need them long before they need you. people with a lot of money have a lot of choices. if your cost is that high you need to have a frank to with your supplier. he/she needs you even more than you need him/her. lower prices mean you move product. 6 or 7% margins yeah not a lot right, until you realize 6 or 7 % percent of a billion is a lot of money. 20% of 10 million a waste of time and energy.

This seems too high imo for those who want to DIY. If you're going that route, you could get this to a much cheaper prices and the extra loe seems minimal imo

Surely those fuses and that 110v outlet aren't code compliant? Those exposed cables are an accident waiting to happen!

Yes it would totally fine and acceptable
Everything is housed inside a nema rated, lockable cabinet. Everything inside is not exposed to mechanical damage and would not be open unless needed for servicing, so how would there be any hazard. No different than other battery systems.

I think this is gonna save contractors a lot of time for certain off grid projects. The last thing Solar a contractor wants to do is get bogged down having to build a shed or enclosure to house the inverter and batteries. With this you can just drop it plug and play and move onto the next job.

A 11.5kW 10kWh unit costs US$22,645. Why not just buy an all-in-one ESS for under $10,000 instead? All-in-ones are much easier to install than this setup.

There is no way that cooling system has enough BTUs to keep this system running cool enough in a Arizona summer. Fail!

    Affordable “Megapack”….🤔

Megapak, but not affordable. I want to build DC chargers for EV's but this is too expensive for the size imo. I hope they do well and make a more affordable version for the diy'er like me.
