Kiive keeps coming out with some great stuff. I didn't think I needed another saturator but I tried the demo and now I own this one. Like you said, quick to dial up the sound, the GUI is clean and it just works. I like using that compressor when driving a bass gtr.
The tube distortion on the MJUC compressor is super nice, and very close to analog

@@GermoStaalfeldtSDRR offers a few different flavors, and they're all pretty decent. I wouldn't use them for 2bus, but there are many usable tones inside.

If it can’t outdo the hg-ms black box then I don’t need another analog saturation plugin. And so far none of these have. These companies need to come up with something different dear god

I liked this one, although I'd never buy it because I have an hg2 that does it for real and I have Saturn 3 and loads of Tape plugins and that transformer shite that Marc Daniel Nelson the 50th demanded we buy, know what I mean?.. Mother just shouted through from the big room, "wait for BlackFriday, ya wet tw*t", but she also had the big light on which skews her reality a bit, so caution is advised. Eh, what a load off shite from the biggies this year eh? UAD, NI etc. Wot a bunch of specials and c**tz all trying to rip the site out of us normals. Not one feckin thing d'ya need.

$30 isn’t bad, but it’s hard to consider these when things like GSat plus are available free and might even be slightly more flexible

It's easy to think Tizer and Buckfast were both from Scotland as that heady cocktail was the libation du jour of every 90's Scot's chav (aka Ned) and, according to a Police Scotland report, was involved in the majority of arrests for violent offences where alcohol was involved...something to do with alcohol and taurine/caffeine according to experts involved in said report. HOWEVER.......despite that being a largely Scottish phenomenon, Buckfast Abbey is actually in Devon. It was made by monks there as communion wine for catholic churches . Tizer is AG Barr though...which is the Scottish company which also makes Irn Bru, aka Every Dentist's Nightmare (at least before they removed the sugar).
Despite my being a Scot...it's not racist if the trope is largely true is it? ;)

Pass for me, Kiive has been doing several compressors/saturators and they already start to sound the same. Its a saturator that I got several times (notably, testing it, its absolutely the same sounding vs plugin alliance HG-2).
So i've no idea why it was said to be not shit, its not, but its very forgettable...
Maybe but their Complexx compressor is actually great. Groundbreaking? Perhaps not but it's nice for parallel compression on the drums. If someone didn't have a saturator, this Tubetizer is not a bad start at a cheap price. I too have the HG-2 and I can see each having some uses.
Smeary? That's a technical term, right? 🧐😝
More of the same. I guess if you need a saturator it's an option.
