You know, when I see the chemistry Johnny and Joan had, and see all the times she appeared on the Tonight Show, which included his admitting that they knew each other socially as well (which for Johnny, being exceedingly private, was rare), it really stinks that he cut her off so totally when she tried to launch a talk show of her own. I read somewhere after his death that she tried to reconcile with him when it became known that he was terminal and even then he wouldn't see her. What a damned shame.
She looked much better without plastic surgery. BTW Joan Rivers and Don Rickles were the best in their business. No one will ever come close to their amazing humor.
