Amazing video, Doug. I was communication with your son during this destructive storm/flood. Glad you are safe and sound and your cabin made it through.
unbelievable video! We are in town visiting from Nashville. We had a devastating flood back in 2010. We drove down from Estes Park into the gulch not knowing that this had happened. Saw the devastation. God bless you all!
We went via Glen Haven the day before the flood. We had spent the night in a cabin further down in the Big Thompson Canyon towards Loveland, and the owners recommended the drive through Glen Haven on our way up to the Rocky Mountains Nat. Park. It had rained most of the night and the Thompson creek that we had to cross to the cabins was up. We stopped at the General Store for one of their cinnamon scrolls. A picturesque little town that unbelievably was almost wiped out the next day! We were so lucky, unlike the towns folk. Kind regards from Melbourne Australia.
Thanks for this video. Glad you guys are ok. Our cabin right on Fox Creek miraculously remains although all thought it would be a goner. Tree impelled into window, Deck messed up, but main structure still sound. The geography has definitely changed. Your video fills in a lot of the "what the???" blanks. Ingress now pretty tedious, but we'll just have to up our fitness training program to match the new approach! Bless you all.
Hope everyone is ok and rebuilding can begin soon. We were there in June and I loved this little town. If anyone gets back up Fox Creek Road, I was hoping to get a pic of my brother-in-laws cabin.
Great video of what had to be a traumatic event for those personally affected. Thanks for going to trouble of shooting this video and then posting it. Best of luck and good wishes to all who were negatively impacted by this act of god.
WOW so glad ya guys are all ok. I live here in Va but have some good friends that live out there now, and was just so worried about everyone. WOW amazing video glad to see your house made it though the flood. That water was a moving.
Hello, I work with the City of Loveland Office of Communications and Engagement. With the 10-year anniversary coming up of the 2013 flood in Loveland, we’re putting together a video sharing community stories surrounding the events. We saw your video here and wondering if we can use it in our video? The video we’re producing about the 2013 flood will be released in September around the 10-year anniversary date and will be shared with the community on our local City of Loveland television and social media channels. We’re happy to credit you for the footage if you’d like. Thank you and let us know if you have any questions.
Well, I'm gonna say that this was a pretty good video. That said, as a former first responder I would feel neglectful if I didn't say there were a lot of very stupid risks taken in this video and you should really count your blessings nobody was hurt or injured.
Wow. Excellent job of documenting the event. Incredible destructive forces. The juxtaposition choppers doing evac w/ the hummingbird feeding was a fantastic reminder that life goes on, and can be fruitful, if one seeks it bravely...wisely. Great vid. Sorry for your community's loss.
I haven't been able to get around the corner enough to get a good view of the purple house and the old post office, but i hate say that it doesn't look like it fared very well...
I was there on Saturday and, like Vaughan did not go all the way around to the purple house, but it didn't look like much remains over there. Not sure though.
We were in John Mill's rental cabin with our two golden reteivers during the flood. It appears your video footage is all around that cabin. We were eventually zip lined to the other side on Saturday. I want to do a personal video of our adventure using some of your footage and video my wife took with her cell phone. Do I have your permission to do so? I would really appreciate it. Your video captures what we saw and felt much better than anything else I've seen. If it's OK I will be happy to share the finished product. Jerry Grove
Oh dear Albert Kundrat.Bible maniac? Good video showing the devastation. So sorry for the folks there but it is obviously a community that will pull together and re build. I missed the floods thankfully by one day on a one night stay in Denver from the UK but will never forget seeing it on the news networks.
And so I, A.S.K. [I, Albert Stephen Kundrat] do hereby ASK: "As in the Days of Noah"? or as in "The Arc of Noe"? Is God talking to any real Noahs of Today to build their own Arks? To prepare for what is yet to come? "ASK Me of Things to Come......"!

I hope Colorado has a better year this year, the last one was the pits for disasters hitting you. Big hugs from the UK.
Really nice touch including the little hummingbird around 6:03 showing nature proceeding as normal in the face of such a cataclysmic event.

Going through Glen Haven was my favorite drive up to Estes. Just about everything is gone now. So sad.

Glad you made it across the river. Any word on the purple cabin owned by my parents Dan and Lois Bauer? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Great footage. Scary water. I am thankful most people did survive this. So much water so fast.
I feel so bad for the people who were left to deal with all of that devastation.
