Colorado Flood - Glen Haven, Sept. 12 through Sept. 17, 2013

Glen Haven resident Doug Grice filmed this footage during the 2013 Colorado Flood. Watch as conditions along the North Fork of the Big Thompson, Fox Creek and West Creek quickly go from bad, to worse, to catastrophic... Most of the flood footage was taken right in front of Doug and Sandy's house. There is some incredible footage of rescues as well.

Hello, I work with the City of Loveland Office of Communications and Engagement. With the 10-year anniversary coming up of the 2013 flood in Loveland, we’re putting together a video sharing community stories surrounding the events. We saw your video here and wondering if we can use it in our video? The video we’re producing about the 2013 flood will be released in September around the 10-year anniversary date and will be shared with the community on our local City of Loveland television and social media channels. We’re happy to credit you for the footage if you’d like. Thank you and let us know if you have any questions.

A little advice. Start off by showing full views of the whole car at all angles. When you zoom in first, viewers don't know what the whole car looks like.
Nice review!
Great footage. Scary water. I am thankful most people did survive this. So much water so fast.
Oh dear Albert Kundrat.Bible maniac? Good video showing the devastation. So sorry for the folks there but it is obviously a community that will pull together and re build. I missed the floods thankfully by one day on a one night stay in Denver from the UK but will never forget seeing it on the news networks.
Well, I'm gonna say that this was a pretty good video. That said, as a former first responder I would feel neglectful if I didn't say there were a lot of very stupid risks taken in this video and you should really count your blessings nobody was hurt or injured.
I feel so bad for the people who were left to deal with all of that devastation.
We went via Glen Haven the day before the flood. We had spent the night in a cabin further down in the Big Thompson Canyon towards Loveland, and the owners recommended the drive through Glen Haven on our way up to the Rocky Mountains Nat. Park. It had rained most of the night and the Thompson creek that we had to cross to the cabins was up. We stopped at the General Store for one of their cinnamon scrolls. A picturesque little town that unbelievably was almost wiped out the next day! We were so lucky, unlike the towns folk. Kind regards from Melbourne Australia.
And so I, A.S.K. [I, Albert Stephen Kundrat] do hereby ASK: "As in the Days of Noah"? or as in "The Arc of Noe"? Is God talking to any real Noahs of Today to build their own Arks? To prepare for what is yet to come? "ASK Me of Things to Come......"!
Wow. Excellent job of documenting the event. Incredible destructive forces. The juxtaposition choppers doing evac w/ the hummingbird feeding was a fantastic reminder that life goes on, and can be fruitful, if one seeks it bravely...wisely. Great vid. Sorry for your community's loss.
Going through Glen Haven was my favorite drive up to Estes. Just about everything is gone now. So sad.
unbelievable video! We are in town visiting from Nashville. We had a devastating flood back in 2010. We drove down from Estes Park into the gulch not knowing that this had happened. Saw the devastation. God bless you all!
