Perfect video! This issue cropped up for the first time roughly 4 days after snow shoveling. I couldn't use my right hand at all. Your exercise routine helped tremendously.
Thank you SO much. first time ive sought help for this, and you have helped immensely. i felt instant gratification in my thumb and it feels incredibly good for the first time in 8 months. thank you for allowing me to educate myself with your video. THANK YOU!.
wow thank for these exercises i can feel more movement after performing these stretches, waiting for a doc appt, have had this problem for 6 months now.
Thank you. Really clear video but I do have one question. Do you do the exercise (without weights) if it is painful, ie. extremely painful, or just do the rest and ice?
I got it from texting and my very physical job. I felt relief right away after following these exercises. Thank you so much! I was getting pretty discouraged. Ill continue this regimine and followup with the weight exercises when my pain is gone.
Thank you very much. Which movement should be avoided as i ve this in my right hand, i find it confusing what i should not do with my hand. U r vedio is quite goid. And i thank you again
Steroids and inflammatory injections plus inflammatory pills feels so much better....for how long is the question. A good thumb brace helped me all day and night. Only thing i am right handed with right hand problems....smh
I think I might have gotten it doing the same thing also. Specifically, playing barre chords on acoustic, which takes a lot of thumb pressure. Also, my new job requires lots of lifting. Have you been doing the stretches? How does your wrist feel?
Alanaut I haven't played guitar in about a week and it seems to have cleared up 90%. I did the stretch where you tuck in your thumb, and with a straight arm bend your wrist down towards the pinky slowly
dude i think i have the same problem. i got hold of 7 string electric (a schecter to be exact) with a 26.5 inch scale (one inch more than usual to keep lower tunings tighter, a little more tension) and when i put a set much thicker than i'm used to on it, played the lower frets and did a lot of big stretches on top of that, it has been killing the tendons in the back of my thumb. think i might need lighter strings and a long break, which SUCKS. btw, since i have been playing off and on, it has been painful for almost 2 weeks now... hope it clears up, i hate not playing....
warhammer265 Just to follow up on, it has now cleared up 100% and my wrist is back to how it was before i injured myself. I did the bending the wrist down exercise a few times but it mostly cleared up itself without having to do much. Took a few weeks, maybe play less often for a few weeks while it clears up.
@@CollosalTrollge I had to use wrist wraps for about a year but one day my pain started to gradually decease and eventually went away after about 2 weeks of decline. A check for it every day though because I'm scared that is going to come back. How about you as a given you issues?

NEVER continue if it is too painful. he does say that it should feel like a stretch, not a stress!
Very informative... Thanks

How many times i do that exercises? Kindly tell me.. I already suffer from this disease.
Who can write all that has been said in this video please
I'm pretty sure i have this and i think i got it whilst playing guitar gripping the fretboard too tightly playing chords
