She says, "I think this is when Ryan Gosling did win the oscar." Now, THAT'S dark.
holy fuck
Damn. 😂
I liked that joke, happy you caught it!
I just thought you got confused and mixed their names up.
It was me being @*%#^
The reason you were getting Thanos vibes (and the reason Deadpool called him Thanos) is because it's Josh Brolin, the actor who played Thanos.
She missed it every single reference. To be a fly on the wall when she finally realizes who is playing Cable and Thanos....
@@highlander31527she’ll probably never realize it
And he was in Goonies.... "One Eye Willie" reference
The reason they reference it being a movie all the time is because that’s what Deadpool was known for in the comic books, breaking the 4th wall and talking to the reader
Which has now been explained as, and if you pay close attention to DP's surroundings in these two films it's pretty much the same thing, DP's mind being completely shattered and only him knowing or thinking he knows he's actually part of a medium....
It's pretty brilliant.
This even led to the death of Professor X. Upon reading deadpools mind Prof X saw what deadpool could see about their universe, causing the professor to go catatonic and die.
@@7Link7 Except in the comics, he's actually right. He's interacted with writers and editors of the comic book. His evil counterpart from another universe killed his writers.
So, he's not really crazy.....Mostly......
Hey guys, in either She-Hulk or Deadpool, didn't they have to get a PIN so... looking at the comic page, illustrated so that a couple sheets were lifted up, they read ahead and saw the code? Beautifully Ridiculous.
I'm beginning to think she doesn't read the comments. lol
I love that Colette completely understands the concept of "breaking the 4th wall", without actually knowing the term evidently.
meta
she looks like and sounds like she dont know what is going on
@@TopiT23I wouldn't say that. Don't underestimate her. Colette is often insightful, but I think her point of reference is different from most.
Nah she doesnt really know whats goign on at all @@Accolonian
Why would she know, it's not like she works in the movie indust.... oh
he is literally thanos. dont know if you realized that based on cuts but he actually is played by josh brolin
Wait.. Thanos played Josh Brolin?
@@YourLordnAuthority-1 those stones are powerful bruh.
That was a big year for Brolin. Cable, Thanos and Sicario at the same time.
The reason he talks to the audience and breaks the 4th wall is because he does that in the comics, one of his powers is breaking the 4th wall, in the comics he is actually able to just ahead in the story to see how it is going to end…
I guess one could technically call it a superpower, though it wasn't as a result of chemicals awakening the ability. His mind broke under the torture he endured at Weapon X in order to get his powers, which altered his perception of reality. Unless they retconned that?
Would his inner voices be counted as a superpower too then?
@@JakkFrost1 It's a kind-of power now. He interacts with writers, looks ahead in the pages, etc. So it's not just his mind. Granted he's still crazy. Just not for unknowingly being right about his reality.
@@aaronbeatdown yeah, like I said, it could technically be considered a power, since it's something most other people can't do, but it's not part of his mutant abilities, otherwise power dampening collars would shut it off.
It's a function of how his brain works now. By the same token, child prodigies could also be considered to have a power, and those on the autism spectrum.
Don't bother. People said that in the comments on her previous Deadpool reaction. She clearly doesn't read these.
The amount of times you said Cable is like Thanos when both are Josh Brolin.😂😂😂
I'm sorry, it's just so cute the reactions. So many jokes are going over your head. It's not your fault but almost everything Deadpool says is sarcastic or facetious. Nothing is serious coming out of his mouth. His actions are what's serious about him.
The Deadpool movies are special for my friends and family.
I love how despite being a degenerate maniac, he’s still capable of sadness and heartwarming moments.
Also a possible reason Wade’s face looks slightly different is in the comics his skin condition changes constantly, as it’s his cancer destroying and regrowing his cells constantly. So he’ll sometimes look like a burn victim, and sometimes look like a walking corpse
Cool, thanks! Plus, y'know, wanting to spend more of this movie with Ryan Reynolds without a mask and maybe hoping to tamp-down the "makeup" and "effects" budgets a tad. That bigger budget isn't going to pay for itself!
In case it wasn’t clear: One of Deadpool’s powers is literally knowing that he’s not a real character. It’s his whole schtick, hence the Fourth Wall Break humor. “But what’s breaking the Fourth Wall?” It basically means when a fictional character breaks the boundaries of his own story in a meta way
Funny how you have to explain this to an "actress"
@@gieron666 You don't grasp acting, or writing, for that matter.
I laughed so hard when, Collette said she was ready for his below the belt humor. Knowing what was going to happen.
Excellent reaction as always, keep up the good work.
While the whole first movie she complained about the humor being low brow🙄
good work ?
You were so not ready for this one Colette.
This isn’t for someone who isn’t into graphic violence, it’s an element of Deadpool.
This was however an hilarious watch of your reactions. 😂😂😂
“I’m going to point out and discuss every single time Deadpool acknowledges this is a movie.”
Please don’t.
"Promise me one thing. That you'll start judging people not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Colette: "Wow, that's beautiful. I've heard that before."
I can't tell if she's being serious, or this is just a character she's doing for the channel. Either way, I love the unintentional comedy in these videos.
Naw she's just dry
Ryan is the perfect Deadpool! He's immortal btw because Thanos was jealous Lady Death fell in love with DP. Best 007 opening in a long time.
There is a "PG-13" rated cut of Deadpool 2 called Once Upon a Deadpool. They cut out a lot of violence and stuff that made it R rated, and Deadpool kidnaps Fred Savage (Princess Bride) and straps him into a bed to tell him the bedtime story of Deadpool 2.
“I’m Deadpool. I’m in Hufflepuff. No he’d be a Slytherin.” No Deadpool’s a Gryffindor, straight up. He’s brave, cocky, and the definition of comedic.
Deadpool is actually in Hufflepuff ....
Deadpool is the guy in the Potterverse who decided that the masters of time and space still have to send mail by fucking owl.
It’s not hinting, Deadpool is known for what is called breaking the 4th wall. He is aware that he’s in a movie while no one else is. It’s not explained in the movies, but because of his healing powers constantly healing his cancer, it causes him to be insane, and part of that insanity is him breaking the 4th wall.
Fun Fact: Juggernaut is secretly voiced by Ryan Reynolds
The opening song and credits is actually a homage to bond movie openings. Big ballad song sung usually by a diva singer with a powerful voice, as the visuals show guns and women and such.
The jokes about Wolverine are because Jackman and Reynolds are friends and always rib each other about their roles.
Also, Deadpool was hated by Thanos because Thanos loved Death (represented by a female character) and Death loved Deadpool because she couldn't have him.
I get a kick out of seeing you watch these films! 😂 You're reactions are adorable. Also, in the first Deadpool, you talked about being called a butterface. I wholeheartedly disagree with that assessment. Keep up the great reactions! 😊
Wolverine and Deadpool’s rivalry predates Jackman and Reynolds. Although their public relationship definitely is similar to the character they play.
Wolverine and Deadpool have always had a rivalry, it’s not just their actors
They’re doing what’s called breaking the 4th wall”. In theater, you have backstage, stage left, and stage right, and each of those could be considered walls of a room, with the 4th wall being where the audience is.
Usually the actors perform as though all 4 walls are standing, and there is no audience. But “Breaking the 4th wall” is when the actors disregard there being an imaginary wall, and acknowledge or even talk to the audience.
It’s normally comedic..
If Mel Brooks directed a DEADPOOL movie, the fourth wall wouldn't be broken,
IT WOULD BE NUKED!
Can't wait for Deadpool 3 next year.
That stupid strike delayed it to 2025
@Richtofen-gy9cj no. Its still coming out in 2024.
Collette: "If I could go back in time and unwatch some of these scenes, I would"
Now that's some cool foreshadowing! Well done!!
The music during the start of the Juggernaut fight was literally a choir singing, “You can’t stop him, he’s the Juggernaut. You can’t stop this motherf**ker! Holy sh*tballs, holy sh*tballs, etc.”
The actor who played cable also played Thanos in Avengers and his step mother irl is Barbara Streisand, that's why there's so many references to her
Deadpool is the most self aware character there is. In the comics he knows he is in a comic. In the movies therefore he is aware he is in a movie, who plays him, and the fact we are watching.
The comic character has a lot more going on, because unlike humans Wade’s brain cells regenerate and therefore his brain pattern re-wires itself. This makes him so self aware (and is written off as crazy), and this is why opponents like taskmaster (who can mimic anyone else’s fighting style) cannot beat him due to even Wade not being sure what he will do next.
But I digress. Deadpool is such a fascinating character, and a lot of the time is doing things to serve his own self interest which sometimes just happens to help others. And then at other times he can be so selfless it’s almost bizarre.
And then there is the voices. Originally representing the audience and the writer, a yellow text box and a white text box would argue with eachother and Wade. Which was then retconned into another marvel character living in his head… but that’s a whole other story!
deadpool's true superpower is breaking the 4th wall - you see it in the comic books too
The Kirsten Dunst story is a reference to "Interview with the vampire", starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas and a very young Kirsten Dunst. The quote is from the scene in which she just has been turned into a vampire and tasted blood for the first time.
BTW: Deadpool never said it is a family friendly film, it's a family film, like in a film about familiy. Which doesn't mean it is family friendly 😉
There's an alternate cut of the movie where Deadpool goes back in time at the end to kill Baby Hitler, can't bring himself to do it and ends up snuggling him instead.
She wouldnt make it through the first episode of The Boys 😂
Deadpool definitely takes place in a “real” universe and what takes place in the movies is in no way faked for a fake movie inside of the Deadpool movie. Deadpool is just so insane that he can literally break the fourth wall and talk directly to the audience.
Someday you are going to watch John Wick, and I am SO here for that!
“I’m traumatized” cue the decapitation!
Damn this is one of my favorite reactions ever 😂😂😂
It’s not about letting the audience know “the movie is all fake” it’s about letting the audience know that Deadpool is aware that it’s fake. His power is to literally break the 4th wall.
It is his only interesting power that's for sure lol
@@rgoodwyn That's kinda the point; Deadpool was written partially as a reaction to comic-book publishers demanding Wolverine rip-offs after Wolverine's popularity exploded. So of course his powers are boring, because that was the complaint; "healing factors have been done to death".
I'm not sure if, canonically, his awareness of himself as a comic-book character is part of his powers or just something he figured-out.
Some stuff is shallow. Other stuff isn't. Often worth checking.
@@michaelccozens Thanks captain obvious lol
They didn’t say it, but they showed it. Domino is a luck stealer. She has great luck, and everyone around her has terrible luck, often fatal. Deadpool is one of the few people who can survive around her.
This movie promises me that no matter how messed up a life is, there's a way to tip the balance toward good. Maybe you don't need such a promise, but some of us do.
Cable isn’t like Thanos, he is Thanos. The actor playing Cable is Josh Brolin, who not only voiced Thanos, but his face was modeled to look like Thanos and he did all of the motion capture data to animate the CGI Thanos. If you look closely at Thanos, the face is just Josh Brolin’s face made bald, purple and with a huge jaw.
Both Deadpool movies are hilarious and awesome
for a Marvel Comics character.👌👌
The reason that Deadpool talks to the audience throughout the movie is because that’s how the character is, from the comic books. He is the only character who broke the fourth wall as it were to talk to the reader or the audience, and he’s brutal because he’s not a hero, he’s an antihero, but not an all out villain.
Thank you for sticking it out and giving the fans what they wanted ! I can’t wait for Deadpool 3 with wolverine in it next. I’m sure it will be you’re favorite out of the 3.
I dunno if its fun or annoying watching someone try to understand movies that go over their head.
Love your reactions. Now some facts. The writers aren't trying to prove that the movie is fake. Deadpool is insane and knows that he's a comic book character being played by Ryan Reynolds. Cable's name is Nathan Summers, future child of Cyclops and a clone of Jean Grey. The metal parts are the result of Cable being infected by a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse, with it partially taking over his body before it was stopped.
And a fun comic thing, one of Deadpool’s notable powers is 4th wall breaking, he did that in comics as well, he knows he is a fictional character, he knows what actor is playing him, he knows we are seeing him, and has gotten miffed at writers for creating bad situations for him, it is actually one of his more unique abilities, does not make it any easier for him though
This was absolutely amazing. It's even better when you DON'T like a movie.
Nothing but respect for watching a movie when gore/over-the-top violence isn't your thing. Trust me when I say many scenes for me and most people in the theater were definitely over the top and so you're not alone. I loved your insights and comments though. Still have to go back through your library for thanks for putting up with the movie and sharing you reaction.
11:48 "Is this a thirst trap of Deadpool right now?" Sort of. It's a parody of what became the traditional openings for James Bond films.
Cable played the older brother in The Goonies and that was the one eyed Willy reference and he also played Thanos in the avengers
And Barbra Streisand is his step-mother, which is one reason why there are so many references to "Babs".
Deadpool speaking to the audience is actually one of his superpowers, in the comics he knows he's a character on the page. He even gets more powers to rewrite whole stories.
Oh, and he does have another love interest. Death. Literally, the Grim Reaper, who's a sexy skeleton in the comics. Thanos is his rival for her affections, and that's not even a little exaggerated.
“He is like thanos!”
Girl…, he played thanos
ok, I sort of feel bad for thinking this. But, I also ABSOLUTELY love your dead pool reactions. Your are so innocent and such a kind hearted person. But because of that it makes it so much better. Thanks for gutting it out. you are a Trooper.
I think you deserve to become one of the biggest reactors. There are so many who rarely go out of their comfort zone. It's one thing to watch scary movies but to watch a dead pool series even though it completely grosses you out is impressive. Being scared is exhilarating but being grossed out is just super hard to endure.
Comic Deadpool was aware that he was a comic book character, so he constantly talked to the reader. The other characters just thought he was talking to himself, and it was part of Wade's "charm"
There would be more problems if he didn't break the 4th wall all the time.
I love how, in this movie, they constantly talk to 'us the audience' which is just breaking the 4th wall again and again
The thing with Domino, is she is lucky, but she makes everyone else unlucky. That's why she was the only survivor from the plane.
Also, Josh Brolin who plays Cable, is the same actor who played Thanos.
Be prepared, Colette. Deadpool is joining the MCU, and Deadpool 3 is currently the ONLY MCU movie planned for release next year.
Hi, I saw the reply for the comment on the first Deadpool movie 🤗. Thank you for watching the 2nd one and making it all the way through. You're my Kirsten Dunst! 🌹
I saw this with my friend and she didn’t know the Cable was in it until he showed up, she was very excited
I am impressed! Collette came back for round 2!! Hopefully this time around was slightly less uncomfortable ;)
The reason Vanessa was killed at the beginning is because this movie was going to be primarily about Mutant characters, and Vanessa was established as a human in the first film (a Bad Ass to be sure, but human), and the writers (Ryan Reynolds included) were not sure what to do with her in this movie. In the comics, Vanessa was a mutant. Perhaps having Wade's baby will be stressful enough to trigger a mutation in her, that should happen in Deadpool 3.
hahahahahah, i laughed so much everytime colette made faces during gory and disgusting scenes and discussed them. I think deadpool is the kinda superhero who i go to if im lonely and have depression. The greatest and most unique marvel character ever.
Deadpool and Wolverine will be in the MCU together in Deadpool 3, so yes, now that Disney has bought some of Fox's properties - including the X-Men - it is true. You should watch the X-Men movies. A lot of them are pretty good, especially "Days of Future Past". Also, those X-Men just then at 16:51 are Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Quicksilver, and The Beast. Edit: 51:38 - We do not talk about THAT Wade Wilson. Doesn't exist. Glad he killed it off.
One of Deadpool's superpowers in the comics is that he knows he is in a comic book. And in the films he shares that same power, knowing that he is in a movie. That's why he keeps joking about it.
Deadpool as a character even when he was first created has always broken the third wall, he’s the only character that’s aware he’s in a comic or movie at all times lol
Keep up the great work really hoping to see your reaction to the X-Men series on the channel soon and keep an eye out for end credit scenes, and Stanley cameos
There is Peter Parker/Spider-Man who he has had a bromance with, which is why I’m hoping for that storyline with Tom Holland since Deadpool is coming into the MCU
The guy who played Thanos gives me Thanos vibes 😊
The other X-Men were Beast, Quicksilver, Nightcrawler, Cyclops. Also, in Deadpool 1 when Colossus says, let’s go see the professor, Wade asks, “Mcavoy or Stewart?” 😂
It's really fun watching "innocent" girls get disturbed from watching R-rated movies....
Colette: I’m ready for this. Me: No, you really aren’t.
Colette: I’m ready for Deadpool this time.
A few minutes later…
Colette: AHH! Why do they do this in this movie!
Viewers: 😎😁😌 You have chosen. Wisely.
Just so you’re more in the loop, the references Deadpool makes isn’t to let us know that this is a movie. It’s to let us know that Deadpool is omnipotent. That’s why he can talk about our world other movies etc. He knows he and everyone else in marvel is a comic character. He even know he’s being represented by Ryan reynolds in our world. Thats part of the reason he’s so comedic and seems to play a lot.
Cant wait for him to shit on she hulk even tho i think she started it first in the comics😭
Deadpool is in no way shape or form omnipotent. He's more likely close to being omniscient.
This is technically a “real movie” cause it exists
The actor that plays Cable IS Thanos, thats part of why he lowkey looks like him in CGI too!
Its not a fake movie they just made an art form of breaking the fourth wall =)
I don’t think she was prepared for this
Deadpool is known to break the 4th wall, as in the screen to connect directly to the viewers. That's all the nods to reality that Deadpool makes. It's pretty popular in film and television, though I think Deadpool does it the most enjoyably with the references. The 4th wall implies that, like a TV, characters are surrounded by the left, right, and back of a television, but the 4th wall is the screen that Deadpool is breaking through.
42:00 Josh Brolin played both Thanos and Cable in the same year, 2018. I think this came out after.
51:44 That was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I had the worst adaptation of Deadpool which also starred Ryan Gosl... I mean Reynolds. Turned him into Mortal Kombat's Baraka without a mouth and with teleportation.
52:05 Reynolds pitched the Green Lantern movie, which was supposed to start the DC cinematic universe, but failed so badly and bombed in theaters. I think it almost killed his career until Deadpool in 2016.
I think you misunderstand. You are really focused on 'they want us to know it's fake'. It's not 'letting you know it's fake', and it's not the directors... or well, kinda is but the point is that Deadpool as a character, in the Comic Books, KNOWS he's in a Comic Book. That's one of the biggest things about his character is breaking the fourth wall, because he knows he's in a movie.
So it's not the directors 'wanting you to know it's fake'.
Talking to the audience, it's called "breaking the fourth wall".
"Don't show us..." moves in for a closer look. 🤣
The actor who plays Cable is the same actor who plays Thanos 👍
Death, the personification of death and the grim reaper, is in love with Deadpool! Because she can't have his soul due to Deadpool not being able to die, & he falls for her as well.
The reason there are so many 4th wall breaks and real world pop culture references is because Deadpool's insanity makes him realize he is a character in comic books and movies.
The guy that plays the time traveler is the guy that also played Thanos
First, Cable is Thanos….well the actor is the same. Second, that Deadpool he killed in the end credits scene was played by Ryan Reynolds too! it was a version of Deadpool that was not well received kinda like green lantern. This Deadpool is much more comic book accurate. He was known as “The Merc with a Mouth” for a reason and even broke the 4th wall in the comics!
It's only Deadpool that breaks the 4th wall, because he knows he's a comic book character. It's not the directors telling everyone it's a fake movie
Deadpool is the only one who knows that he’s a comic book, video game, and movie character, there’s actually a series of comic books called Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe, and he goes around murdering the entire Marvel Universe because he goes mad thinking about how he’s not real, and there’s a clip in the book where he comes out of the comic book and threatens the artist to completely destroy the books to “kill” the Marvel Universe
"he is like Thanos" yeah so much alike its the same actor
I’m not sure what games you play, but something tells me you’d be fun to have on the team. Cable seems so much like Thanos because he is Thanos.
I think Deadpool and Spiderman should do a movie together
Very excited for this! Curious to see what you think
The thing about domino's power is that she takes the Luck of the people around her so they end-up dying just for her to Live
This is the most heartwarming movie I wish I'd never seen.
Same
I'm not sure what I enjoy more, how adorable she can be or how much these movies torture her... 😅🤷🏽♂️
Best way of reaction I ever seen
You really should have watched the X-Men movies before the Deadpool movies. 🤷🏻♂️
The X-Force scene had be cackling like a fool when I watched it.
Best comedy scene of that year, as far as I'm concerned.
Deadpool brutally killing people while Dolly Parton plays in the background 😂
I think Deadpool would appreciate the fact that he's living rent free in so many people's heads for many different reasons after the filming of these movies..
Do you guys know if Colette noticed during the final fight scene, the intense fight music lyrics were saying "holy sh#tballs"?
the reason they make thanos references is because thanos and cable are played by the same guy
