My son was prescribed Prednisone by two different clinics here in mn. Once in Feb and again in March. He has now been admitted to an inpatient psychiatric clinic where there are trying to treat him with I believe bi polar disorder. This medication was on his allergy list from a similar reaction in 2021. There is so much information the steroid psychosis but doctors do not want to acknowledge it. There was no taper down instructions which are important and no warning of the side effects. He had labs done to try to figure out what was going on. The labs showed hypothyroidism, low vitamin d, high iron and increase glucose levels. When retested about a week later all labs were normal except vitamin d. He was prescribed vitamin d 50,000 mg capsules 1x a week for 5 weeks.

Thank you Ms Megan! I’m binge watching all your videos. I had a terrible allerigic reaction last week and my doctor prescribe predisone for 5 days 30mg a day. But i was so scared to take it due to side effect. Now i learned more about risks and benefits so I am taking it after 5 days more of suffering haha. Thanks again!

When you say avoid turmeric … does that mean avoid curcumin? I’ve been prednisone for two days for inflammation. I’ve been taking lots of vitamin d , querecetin , fish oil .. nac .. and tocotrienols.
