    It's a 2011 Mack LE600. Depending on the route, maybe an average of 5-6 hours. Most of my routes are around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 loads, but there is one that I can jam on in one load.

    Thanks! The stuff that sticks to the follower never really bothered me much. It only really sticks when it's wet, otherwise it rolls right off. I need to lube it up a little soon, that seems to help quite a bit. I think they all come with the crusher panel, but I'm not certain. It'd suck without it.

    Thanks! It's amazing what people try to recycle, or rather think that they can recycle.

    Great job! Seems like the Autoreach does a good job with carts placed the wrong way

    We frown on using bags, but we don't dump directly at the MRF, so we really don't get to much feedback either way. The follower was a bit sticky that day. Lot's of beer coming out of the carts. I always make sure it's clean before I hit the highway. Cheers!

    It's a Swann Freestyle Hd with a custom built magnetic mount. It's like a cheaper competitor to the Go Pro.

    I've actually had the same thought. Just a strip of thick rubber long enough to touch the follower when it's closest.The holes are already there. I'm just worried that I'd rip it off the first day I did my trash route with it. I've never looked, but I wonder if any other Autoreaches are setup that way.

    The route is just over 1300, but we had an extra truck, so I'd guess I grabbed about 1000.

  • @xjoecomptonx
    @xjoecomptonx  11 років тому

    It's not too bad. Sometimes things get stuck on the lid, but if you open the grabber before it hits the ground, the lid flips closed dropping whatever was left back into the cart.

  • @xjoecomptonx
    @xjoecomptonx  11 років тому +1

    That never really bothered me much. I just scrape it off before I hit the highway and I'm good to go. I need to lube it up again soon, so more will just slide off.

    Awesome video!!! What truck chassis are you driving? You said you serviced about 1000 homes. How long does that take you and how many dumps do you make a day?

    there are 3 different types of auto reach, this is the current one, but there is also an autoreach that has a packer similar to the labrie packers, and there is also the M/A model with that packer.

    Awesome footage! Sucks that the blade kinda blows, compared to Labrie or Wayne where it goes back into its "housing" and anything on it comes off. Do all AutoReaches have that crusher panel?

  • @auricom8472
    @auricom8472 9 років тому +3

    That's pretty sad in terms of the packing blade has no housing that could help push it the objects off the blade

    Awesome work mate! Are plastic bags acceptable over there with the material contained? I noticed a shitload of them fell out of the bins. The MRF operators would have a cry over here seeing that bin full of foam get loaded =] Get a lot of material sitting on top of the follower, don't want strong winds getting into the hopper eh?

    I recycle but hate having it picked up at the curb cause of others recycling containing ie oranges LOL or dog waste, it all must just end up in landfil right Joe ?

  • @xjoecomptonx
    @xjoecomptonx  11 років тому

    I see lots of shoes. My biggest pet peeve is dog waste. Seriously, what is that going to be recycled into? The weirdest would probably be a cart full of broken concrete. Over full, so I noticed it before I tried to dump it. I feel bad for whoever had to unload the cart.

    Yeah, they think their doing the right thing, but get a little to enthusiastic and try to recycle EVERYTHING.
