I can't be more agree with you, you explain it perfectly. ICO is the closest experience of getting deeply in a dream, in which nothing seems to have much sense but somehow it touch your heart without realizing and leaving a slight remnant in your brain. Master piece of interactive art, no dubt.
I don't know the term with that plucking instrument in the video, but in a piano its called trills, or trilling. It gives me chill that runs up and down my spine because it reminds me of Silent Hill.

So obviously it's going to stay a PlayStation exclusive. And companies or publishers do that to persuade someone to buy a certain product. In this case, a PS2/PS3.

Same way that Nintendo has all the mario, zelda, metroid, etc. titles to make people buy Wii systems. The developer in this case, Team Ico, aren't staying only on the PS3 for the fans, it's cause Sony has them signed only to themselves.
I wouldn't say that Ico was a great game, but it was very, very beautiful and atmospheric. Same with Shadow of the Colossus. Incredibly thrilling, awe inspiring, beautiful, but one playthrough was enough for both games.
