Hey Matt! I'm Steve G., new to the channel but a Ford lover since the mid 70's!! This became a fetish, with the arrival of my first Ford... a '70 Maverick! A grocery-getter, turned hot-rod! A lil background on me... I've owned 3 Mavericks, 4 Taurus's, 2 F150's, and even now, still own one '01Taurus (For Sale), one '93 F150 XLT, Ext-cab, short-bed (rejuvenation project?) and my newest love/daily driver, a 2010 Lincoln MKX Elite! But! I've always admired Mustangs, and grew up in the 80's Fox-body craze!! I am now thinking of acquiring one to tinker and cruise with. I'm finding your channel very helpful to my cause! Thanks for your inspiration!! Cheers!!
Thanks for your support! The car hobby can really get under your skin, but it is a wholesome and family friendly hobby. There are lots of things on this channel to feed your interest I think, especially if you look through my back catalog, but if Foxbodies are your thing, you’re really in the right place!
@KASLCustoms You are welcome. This part of the restoration turned out pretty nicely, and in my view because it enabled me to have the Mustang logo in the window, it was worth it. Although it cost around a day of time for the job, it also saved a little money on balance compared to repro replacements.
You really should use a flexible skim coat like the Fusor 114. Other types of products may crack or delaminate. I am sure there are competitors to the Fusor product, but what you are looking for is a skim coat designed for flexible plastic surfaces like bumper covers. Having said this, I am not a journeyman body man, but I consulted one in conjunction with this repair and it did turn out well.
It’s in the car and I have been driving it on a few cruises and even took it to a couple shows and it is holding up fine. Looks like a good fix. There will be another video or two in this series talking about the door trim and window install, and the tape stripe replacement, so stay tuned. Check @tecmotiondyno on Instagram for some up to the minute pics of the car.

What was that epoxy called.... window came out great!
"Lord Fusor 114LG". Sounds Hokey, but it is made for plastic bumpers and is flexible so it is a good choice for this.
Thank you sir!! What do you think on using urethane to restore the windows? When that hardens it can be sanded right? Thoughts? Thank You!!

@@tecmotiondyno Thank You!🙏
Have you had a chance to install the window? Did the SEM trim black holdup or crack?
