The big centre tunnel is not only for drive train but also to increase lateral stiffness of chasis to eliminate crushing of chassis in frontal crash Think of metal roofs which have ups and downs just perpendicular to lentgh of the roof Thats done if anyone stands on it, it doesn't deform
I agree with the first statement; however, the point about service costs is wrong. I can confirm that the service expenses are not significantly lower than those of an entry-level Bimmer or Mercedes. The engine is the same as that of the A4, and loaded with electronics. Over time, perhaps after 5 or 6 years, you may face substantial service bills. Also parts used in these models are imported from Germany so parts replacement is also on higher sides.
@@mishraaaryaanI own a vrs and superb too Yes like if service date is 2nd Dec if you do it on that day itself the car will respect you and drive peacefully and when you need a pull it will for sure
@@Divyash19 I also own a 2.0 tsi Octavia mk4 from 2021 and just love it! The performance the dynamics are fabulous. Sad to D-segment Sedans being discontinued in India.
Yea it's really sad I am not against tata Mahindra and so called suv makers but they are just selling a hatchback with a slight increase in volume and increase ground clearance with tiny wheels and mindless Indians are buying that crap for upto 25 lakhs
@Divyash19 But Mahindra still got some really nice engines. Their 2.0L mStallion petrol engine is really fun to drive & very torquey. It can perform really well in a Sedan.
The main reason for Superb's downfall is Octavia itself. Skoda made these two cars way too similar in the recent years after the BS6 norms so much so that both had the exact same Engines and transmission options but Superb costed 10-15 lakhs more. This is why they decided to stop selling Octavia in India. I've driven Octavia and Superb many times on the same roads, both are excellent machines.
Main reason was low sales of both. Indian buyers don't have taste in Cars. All they want is a attention seeking show-off machine if they are spending this much money.
Hi, same here. Have skoda yeti 2011 since 2011. Almost 14 years and still no replacement. I recently wanted to upgrade car. Car works flawlessly but wanted an automatic. I test drove nearly 20+ cars. From budget segment like creta, mid premium segment like tuscon, Jeep grand wagoneer, C5 aircross, skoda own kodiaq, VW tiguan and premium segment like bmw x1 and audi q3. To my surprise, no car offers the same feeling and confidence that my yeti still gives. I have a familiar turn on the highway i take with my yeti at 130kmph when road is empty. Same thing I tried with every car I test drove and all felt weak and less confidence inspiring. The closest was the bmw x1 and skoda kodiaq. Another thing was the efficiency. Most cars on the list are petrol and only some have diesel options. My yeti has stock 140hp 320nm but I did a simple ecu tune and it now produces 177hp and 410nm with around 15 kmpl in city and 20 kmpl on highway with avg speed around 100-140kmph. Next thing is the 4x4 haldex smart 4WD system. No car offers this anymore and the i don't want to get a fwd suv when I'm paying north of 40 lakhs. The 2.0L TDI from the VW group is a gem of an engine. The torque band starts from 1750 rpm and it is quick to reach that. Low down you have good grunt and a strong midrange and even pulls all the way to 5000 rpm with full punch. And the pushback you get in 2, 3 and 4th gear when the turbo spools is something I have not experienced in any car when I did the test drive. The sheet metal, interior build quality, useful features, boot space and in general yeti still is ahead of the competition in many aspects even after 13+ years. I recently purchased a 2nd hand pre facelift kodiaq 4x4 L&K with the same 2.0L TDI and that's the only car that feels a somewhat successor to the Yeti but still not a direct one. Still have the YETI and I prefer it over the kodiaq just because of its fun to drive aspect and road presence.

He always praises Skoda for this car as it has everything a middle class wants from a luxury vehicle (it was his 1st luxury car). We still have the third generation (L&K) and we were considering the next generation (only because of that attachment with the Superb) but the new price is not worth it at all. Still, I really want to see Skoda and especially the Superb to rise back to the position it once held ❤.
Thank you Skoda,
Thank you Superb🫂.

One of my favourite car
We are using a Hyundai Verna fluidic. Now My dad wants to buy a used car, when I asked for Octavia, he said NO!! I just want to experience the Germans but he denied because of high maintenance😢. A common reason why people hesitate to buy VW and Skoda in India. Right now we are looking for Honda civic or Hyundai elantra. By the way somehow I convinced him to get a sedan in today’s SUV dominance 😅.
You can also check Toyota Corolla.
Are you buying used because none of those cars are available in India now
Can you please make a video or specifically review video on Elantra 1.6 diesele 2011-2015 and later whether it's ok to purchase it nowadays

Sir to be honest like you showed in the thumbnail 'skoda the audi killer' if you would have hidden the car with some side thing and would have added the text the car that can kill audi, would attract more people to the video as there would be a curiocity same thing I noticed with your marrazo video also
