On real life accidents how many Hyundai Kia cars have caused fatalities - talking about Verna's, Seltos, Cretas, i20's etc. Very curious. I feel GNCAP has caused some sort of overhype where all Tata/Mahindra cars have reached immortality levels of safety while every other Maruti/Hyundai cars are plain unsafe - thanks to some chappri youtubers. Hyundai/Kia at least have started giving 6 airbags from base model for Exter, Facelift i20 but also have active Safety features like ESC, Traction Control. Give credit where its due. They could have done better in terms of features and pricing looking at the tough competition from Hyundai, Honda, Maruti... And I am hopeful they will.. More sales will definitely encourage them to give better to Indian customers..

The biggest sufferers are the people who want a more premium car than the Slavia/Virtus/Taigun/Kushaq. Those cars were the Octavia, Karoq, T-Roc, Jetta, etc., but unfortunately, they are not in the market as the Indian consumer just doesn't want to buy good cars. Even the Elantra and Civic are gone. The only cars premium buyers can consider now are the BMWs, Mercs, Audis, Camry, etc., which are 2 segments above the Slavia segment and cost way too much. This has resulted in a huge gap in the 25 to 45 lakh segment.

Thanks Gagan!, have been following your reviews often and finally got Virtus 1.5 GT DSG a month back. As your rightly said about Cons, I agree with the quality of plastics which is sub par and not upto what mark. Secondly, the suspension as you mentioned are stiff and makes noise at times. And the third thing is noise from the power windows. Well don't agree on the other cons you mentioned. About the pros, the car drives too well and it's a perfect balanced package of ride handling, comfort and power. Honda City and Verna lacks in one or the other aspect. Finally, the DSG gearbox holds really good in tough situations, I have driven in ghats and steep roads and it never rolled back. The auto star stop is very smooth too. Lastly the one of the most important thing I must mention is ground clearance. Even though the roads have imporved on national highways and expressways. The state highways which I take from while going to Goa are a mess. And this car handled the extreme potholes and bumps wayy better than my previous i20. To conclude, Virtus or Slavia is a sensible choice amongst the lot and it's looker too! Something which I am worrying right now is the long term reliability of the DSG gearbox. Luckily since last two years of Taiguns launch, there have been no issues as such in these cars.
I strongly propose to make all driver controls to be physical, as it is a distraction to make it touch screen. This will not give any feedback. Physical buttons give good feedback and awareness.

Exactly. In fact for some reason, I found suspension of Kushaq a bit more refined than the Slavia during my test ride. Feels like Kushaq has longer suspension travel.

Yes, the cons mentioned are true. Camera and AC could have been better, plastics here and there, ADAS missing (i personally wont prefer ADAS for indian roads as ADAS works only for front but not for side vehicle movements). But personally for me they are not big deal breakers. Also, we recently did 500 kms trip with family and old people in the back seat. They never complained about back pain. But buoy the car is cruising at 140 kmph with only 2 cylinders running (ACT), came to know only thro speed warning that the car is above 120 kmph without a single body roll, exceptional stability, ride and handling of highest standards with all safety features like electronic slip differential, multi collision braking, abs, ebd, traction control working in the background giving utmost confidence to drive..
Gagan. First of all jahan aapki destination thi wha se mera ghar bhi pass me he tha.. So most welcome.. Most probably this is the first time i am commenting.. The video is bery nice and cleared most of the pros n cons of the car.. One is still left.. Auto start stop fumction does not work properly.. The car switches off when we are breaking down the car.. Mostly on a speed of 10-12 kmph it engine gets off.. And restart when we release the brake padel.. And one more thing for your info.. When you were taking the exit from noida expressway the service road is a two way zone.. so that time they were not coming wrong side.. i do agree with you that people come wrong side.. but in the video they were not.. 😊😊😊 Big thanks to you for sharing good informative content..👍🏻
Well presented Gaganji...this format of describing the vehicle while driving is very nice. But did I miss you describing the following? - engine power when overtaking etc., fuel efficiency, NVH level and the quality of transmission...DSG had got a bad reputation and many customers had reported repairing problems. For me, an important feature missing is 360° camera
We all know that you are Hyundai fan. I am a Slavia owner and I had a Polo for 9 years. I can tell the handling I am getting in slavia is not much different than my Polo. Not that I have noticed hugely. With respect to slavia the features are exactly what we need everyday usage. You mentioned adas, some gimmick features which no one uses after 3 months why VW Skoda needs to provide high cost. Considering it will be costly once. You can't compare Hyundai or Kia with VW group cars. About the suspension I must say it's a bliss if I compare it with the previous polo. Most city pot holes are managed by this car. I don't know what expectations you have but you can't get everything from one car. Your favourite Verna also doesn't have all the features either. What I miss in this car compare to previous vw group cars is one touch power window for all 4 windows, robust plastics and fit and finish. But this one is not that bad but could be better. Initial pick up has been turned to a softer one which I am missing my ond polo. Overall it's a good looking car with the robust build quality and necessary features for everyday. Take this out to highways or for daily rides you won't regret.

Well said.. It is missing the features such as height adjustable seat-belts, EP Brake, EA seats, better feeling/ soft touch materials. And yes, the tactile/ physical buttons.. I am a VW/ Škoda fanboy, and love the DSG and drive dynamics of those cars, along with the safety. But one needs to face the truth.
I was almost ready with all cash deal on Kia but i ended up with skoda kushaq. It has a class of its own . Dont buy Cars that every champu tampu is buying. In a way its cool to own skoda as less ppl want to buy it as they are less aware. All these cons that Gagan mentioned.... u will so happy driving this that u wud be okay with any cons. Car means not apple car play or camera. Car means two things .. Safety and amazing drive . This car has both. Rest all is for ignorants. ADAS is useless. plastic strength is useless.
You can actually pick up the call and cut the call from left wheel control. I saw that in your previous video that you mentioned it was not there. You picked up the call from touch screen only. 😊
It was unnecessary to mention about Verna and City in this video. Hope the title given is respected. I enjoy driving my Slavia for the last 15 months and covered 15000 kms. It is always enjoyable and the cons mentioned have never been of any concern. One main aspect is that in AT model, the initial crawl is a bit of discomfort when we have to stop/start frequently in traffic (bumper to bumper conditions). This causes embarassing jerks when we press the brake and release to move.
I own volswagen vento and i dont feel bad about the points he touched, it is his job to compare what is better and what is not. Just respect his work and dedication
@@ClassyCouture-ih1dz I was referring to the mismatch of the title for the video and the coverage. The title did not mention comparison. I saw a distinct bias in the words. This was the concern as there are many who see this type of videos and decide to select a vehicle.

Cost of making a strong body is very high, 5 star gncap proves it, so to manage the current selling costs of the segment, skoda volkswagon compromises on features such as adas and stuff. It possible to deliver them in Verna because the cost incurred for body is very minimal, just try opening the door of verna and slavia, the heaviness is relevant in slavia. This helps in reducing the cost of body, hence allowing to focus on more and more features. If Verna delivers the strong build of skoda volkswagon, I doubt they'll be able to deliver such features at current price. And also its saddening to notice always features are expected in such strong built cars, but a better build quality is not expected from feature rich cars.

The auto hold or hill.start assist was a feature right?? Did they remove it in the latest one? That's very bad if they did. Except Ciaz, City and Verna should have it in the base variant itself I think. City for sure even in manual has it. You just need to press the brake pedal fully

Great observation, Gagan! However, I have a slightly different take on comparing Skoda/VW 1.0 and 2.0 cars. These belong to entirely different segments and shouldn't be directly compared. Owners of Skoda/VW 1.0 cars, such as the Octavia, Karoq, T-Roc, or Jetta, often compare their experience with models like the Slavia, Virtus, Kushaq, or Taigun. The former would cost around ₹35-45 lakhs in today's market, while the latter are priced in the ₹15-20 lakh range. It's akin to comparing a Toyota Fortuner with a Hyryder-unfair to the Hyryder, as they cater to distinct segments. As Indian consumers, we often aspire for features of a ₹30 lakh car while being willing to pay only ₹10 lakhs, which skews such comparisons.
Well slavia grond clearance is equalvalent to innova and jeep compass.. i can do some offroading on my slavia too.. no talk about 2 cylinder deactivation mode.. and how it improves the mileage.. honda city with 165mm toches on all speed breakers... creta has 10 mm more ground clearance then slavia.. it is an important factor in indian cities.. also handling is best in the category..
not sure if you've driven 5th gen honda City, it just doesn't scrape anywhere. have been driving one for about a year now clocking 11k km. My old city from 2008 scraped just about everywhere, so i definitely see the difference
@@saimahesh9115 If the honda company mentions ground clearance is 165mm it means something.. well octavia ground clearance is 155mm and some people still drive it without bumping into speed breakers.. what really happens is that people slow down to below 10km/h at speedbreakers even less and it doesn't bump.. but that's the point.. in a slavia you can go on a speedbreaker at speed of 20-25 kmph while in city you need to slow down to 5-10 kmph to pass the same one..

Big thanks to you for sharing good informative content..👍🏻
Well presented Gaganji...this format of describing the vehicle while driving is very nice. But did I miss you describing the following? - engine power when overtaking etc., fuel efficiency, NVH level and the quality of transmission...DSG had got a bad reputation and many customers had reported repairing problems. For me, an important feature missing is 360° camera
Waiting for a similar review on Verna.
Gagan Bhai go ahead with your simplicity and honesty, Jo bhi karte ho hamein accha hi lagta hai.
Yeh hai bhai iklauta honest review dene vala banda❤❤
Ignore such people 😅, we watch your video only bcz of your honest opinion ❤
Please make more of these videos. very informative and helpful for buyers. Thank you!
Take this out to highways or for daily rides you won't
regret.
Bilkul sahe kha apne Gagan bhai ap Bilkul Sach he review dena log chahe kuch bhi bole
Gagan and yogi ji icn really gives very honest review. Close eyes and hear and take decision.
This was the type of video which was expected by public from you gagan ji ... so much informative and ek hi video me apne sare sedans ka nichod de diya
in this internet era people don't think twice before commenting /spreading Hate towards the creator.
some thing needs to change.
muje inki 2.0 stratergy me ek problem yehi lagi ki under 10 lakhs product nhi hai inke pass.
Gagan bhai you are doing fantastic job and dont think what people will think log toh chand mein bhi daag dhund lete hai..puir hum toh insaan hai..😂
I have slavia 1.0...purchased just. @Gagan Choudhary pls gv honest review....I m very happy with this car.
How will be Slavia and Virtus for long terms like 8 to 10 yrs...Are their engine sustain for that long and can perform same way in that long terms
Why the subtitles end @ 4:57 and don't display after?!
Gagan your fans trust you. Pls don't pay any heed to the trolls on UA-cam comments and on other social media platforms.
Aisa hi video city aur verna ke liye banta hai gagan bhai!
Your points are always to the point, and I liked this style of review, expecting to get more videos like this ❤️❤️❤️
Gagan ji shall I buy slavia 1 lt ambition by selling Polo 1lt 2022 highline model ? only 3000 done . Reason that Polo looks very small .
Biggest cons are ac cooling and infotainment dispaly in new version and also there is no hill hold control in ambition variant
You can actually pick up the call and cut the call from left wheel control. I saw that in your previous video that you mentioned it was not there. You picked up the call from touch screen only. 😊
you cannot cut the call. Only lift. please correct your facts
@@mohammadjaveed206 yes you can. Just go to the telephone while in the call and you will get all the options. I know all the facts bro.

@@3to0king if you look at his other videos, he first talks about pros than cons, here half of the video is over he never started pros. Recently saw this video about hyryder - where it was all pros first
You own 1.5 dsg?
@@thurules nope : i own 1 lt at kushaq
Excellent video . Was thinking of slavia however i had the doubt if it's worth the price . It's video answers it all . Thanks for making such genuine video
Two things incorrect in this video:
1. the car has hill hold function that works flawlessly.
2. You do get sunshades with the accessories package.
I never said it misses out on Hill hold.
Also, accessories sunshade is available for all cars.
@@GaganChoudhary You said that the hill hold doesn't work. and if other cars also get sun shades as accessories then how is it a con specific to slavia?
@@gonerogue69 What part did I say Hill Hold doesn't work?
Also there is a difference in Sunshade that is accessory and sunshade that is retractable.
He mentioned “auto hold” and not hill hold. Try Auto Hold once in traffic and you will always miss it in a car when it is not there.
Should we buy second hand car or not ispe ek vidio banao sir 🙏🏻👌🏻

i'm loving this type of POV's
Bilkul sahi kaha, ek din maine Hyundai ke service centre me ek white color ki Venue car dekhi uska fuel door open tha par wo crack ho rakha tha😂, guess karo jab maine pass se dekha to wo plastic ka bana hua tha, to fir kya safety hai in Hyundai ki cars mein.
badiya gagan maja aaya is video format m
Great Video Now As you said some Skoda Volkswagen fan boys who can't digest the truth will start barking or have already started i guess
I own kushaq ambition 1.0 Mt petrol. Only thing i miss is either a push start or some glowing ring where key is insert to start the car. The premium feel cabin gives either of one they should provide to make it complete. Rest everything is Superb!
One thing always concerns me is why you guys always talk about high end variants only. Try to drive base variant and give your honest feedback and then compare with high end variant which will obviously have all fancy features and nothing more. Anyway keep up the good work.
Why kushaq video not in your you tube
Very Honest video as always..please don't get affected by any hate or negative comments..
Those who wanna say anything to gagan pls unsubscribe and go see reviews of big time yt channel that deliver thrill of driving and features by taking money from brands.
Love your honesty to bone 🙌🙌💥💥💥💥
The reason one refers Hyundai over Skoda and VW is the quality of each feature. Everything works as expected and everytime.
The auto hold or hill.start assist was a feature right?? Did they remove it in the latest one?
That's very bad if they did. Except Ciaz, City and Verna should have it in the base variant itself I think. City for sure even in manual has it. You just need to press the brake pedal fully
Auto hold is different than Hill hold.
@@GaganChoudhary okay so you mean that feature which is applicable only to automatics then... Got it👍🏻
Honda city me curtains nhi aate sir
Rear side blind to hai ZX me .
You have to buy separately for Skoda

By the way iss tarike ki video bhi bhot acchi hai
Thanks so much for your honest review. We need more videos like this and people who reveal the truth without sugarcoating it for the brand, ultimately this is the end user experience you speak which is at most important. Thanks again Gagan, been with you for more than 5 years now and proud to see you where you are. Keep up the good work. ❤
What is the ratio of sales between 1 litre and 1.5 litre slavia. Can anyone enlighten.
Only brand knows the truth but I guess 1 liter must be doing 80% of sales
At 17:45 you said ciaz is on wrong side. Actually that is not the case.
Service lane on both the sides of noida greater noida expressway are operating in both directions. Infact with due respect you were driving on the wrong lane after coming on service lane. 😊😊
He was right. That service lane is supposedly a one way only. I drive through the exact road frequently.
@@abhi8441999 I also live in sector 93. Service lane on both the sides of express way are bi directional. I am driving on this express way from 2006. If you want you can check with the traffic police regarding the usage.
kya baat kar rha hai bhai, tera mtlb ciaz wala pura ulta hokay jayega expressway main?????
@@amritya98 bhai jana chahe to he/she has full right to do so. As yeh ulta hai hi nhi, yeh service lane hai jo pore expressway k parallel chal rhi hai on both sides and vehicle can move in both directions. Although after that point in 200 - 300 mtr there is an underpass to enter the expressway. He like many others might choose that.
@gaganchoudhary sirji agar ye sb jo aap mang rahe hai ki hone chahiye, to Octavia or superb me ap S-class vaale features mangenge.
Well covered, Gagan! Thanks

How’s the slavia 1.0 tsi ac now ? Still facing problem or resolved
Hi! Can anyone comment on the suitability of skoda/VW DSG gearbox in rainy seasons....especially while moving through stagnant water on roads?
V v nice format bhai!
Gaadi ka colour kaafi pyaara hai 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Loved the video and the overall format. It would be great to see more videos like this for other cars as well
Sahi h poora video noida me shoot Kia h grt @gaganchaudhary😂❤
What is the use of engine start option with key?
Agree with your analysis. At this price point , it feels stupid for skoda cost cutting.
Bhaiya 40 lakh ki gaadi nahi hai
Power Handling and all basic necessity are best. Yes, auto hold should have been there. That's one feature i miss every single day.
I m also slavia 1.5 dsg owner. You are 100% right bro
Is AC that bad ?
9:30 the Tata harrier color looks different, nice color it is, is it TATA oem color?
@gagan bhai, nice video. So informative as always.
@@saimahesh9115 If the honda company mentions ground clearance is 165mm it means something.. well octavia ground clearance is 155mm and some people still drive it without bumping into speed breakers.. what really happens is that people slow down to below 10km/h at speedbreakers even less and it doesn't bump.. but that's the point.. in a slavia you can go on a speedbreaker at speed of 20-25 kmph while in city you need to slow down to 5-10 kmph to pass the same one..
mujhe to ye format bhi mast laga,,,,,
Dear Gagan thanks for ur review… no one told what u revealed honestly…
Please tell about ac issue for 1.0tsi. Style model ?
A little too negative. I awn a Slavia. Interior fit and finish is not bad at all. I have had no rattling..
Yes you gave your own driving experience so it really great and informative
Nice review and great format. This is exactly what I want.
Which sedan automatic transmission is more reliable city, salavia ir verna?
Another issue i face is that the USB ports are always powered, so for dashcam or any accessories it will drain the battery even after car is locked.
Gr8 and honest review as akways, DDS Ravi and you are doing gr8 and you made my decision tougher between Slavia and Virtus 😅
one touch up and down feature is present in my Skoda Rapid style automatic for all windows but i think now it is only for driver window
Question for everyone: is it possible to lock all passengers door without child lock once car is locked by button?
I have a kid at home and he usually pull the gate lock while i am driving and gate unlocks easily.
Is there any way ?
