I was 16 years old in 1977 and visited Bermuda with a friends family. We rented mopeds, popular back then, and drove all over the island. I only had a Learners Permit and had only had it for a short time but they let me rent a scooter anyway! Such a great time, great memories!
Bermuda looks like a rich clean country with colorful houses and buildings. Its only 774 miles from New York where I live. That's just a hop scotch across the ocean.
Enjoyed the drive. But would have loved if you had a tiny explanation, or sign saying ‘Entering St, David’s.’ Or approaching ‘Flatts village.’ I lived in Bermuda for 11 years in the late 70’s -80’s. And have only gone back once. This was a nostalgic ride, however my mind is now foggy. So would have appreciated the signs. Thank you.
The small air field in the beginning is where the small planes park, which is away from the only airport. It's also the place where patients travelling on air ambulances are loaded/unloaded. At 0:13 you'll see a building on the right with brown pillars. This used to be McDonald's when the US Base had this land. They allowed locals to be treated to McDonald's once a week. We miss the Americans and my family still corresponds with some of them from the 60's/70's.
Thanks for posting. I am heading to Bermuda for the first time and a few people have told me not to rent a vehicle because driving in Bermuda is very dangerous. Yes the roads are narrow but the cars are small, the speed limit is very low and traffic light. I don't see the danger.
I have that background on iOS that at night it shows the lighted areas on earth and I seen a speck of light in the Atlantic. Looked it up on g maps and found this. Awesome work
Nice drive, where you on a scooter or a elec car? We just got back and did the whole island in one of those elec cars. So much fun we stopped everywhere. ❤️🏝😱

Beautiful and spectacular place! ☀️🌴
What an impressive scenery
Absolutely wonderful. Brings back a lot of memories. A lot has changed since I was last there. Too bad you didn't stay on North shore road.
Is that a Police car

Lived on Hog Bay Level in 1969-70. When we got back to the states, how huge the cars and trucks seemed after seeing the small ones for a year.
Thanks for the tour
