  • Finger limes (Citrus australasica) are native Australian. Some people call it "Caviar Lime". Finger limes are a fairly new discovery by the culinary world and are only to be truly appreciated once tasted.
Finger lime are known by their unique lime pearls which are likened to caviar in look and texture, however they offer a refreshing burst of lime flavor (different to that of traditional limes)

Have they started to use Apeel? since the lime goes bad in five days? with apeel u can save the fruit up to double that time.

I just bought 2 variety's of finger limes from Bunnings. The smallest, 40cm tall, has a tiny little lime on it already. Is it possible the plants I bought from Bunnings were clones from a mature plant?

@Raju Azad - This tree can be grown in a place where have climates for outdoor in the 60-90 °F (16-32 °C) range. This tree does well in partial shade to direct sunlight.

6 years is pretty long time for fruitation.

    • @ragereset2795

Those six years will pass regardless. If you’re still alive by then, you get free fruit caviar.
This plant is rare and barely even popular yet. And it’s unlike anything. Sweet lime flavoured caviar in a bag which you pull off a tree.
I work in a kitchen garden for a hotel, and there was a yellow, half-dead one in a pot when l got there. Today l hired an auger and drilled a huge 12” hole in the ground. Filled it with a thick layer of gravel for drainage, then a blend of Native soil, horticultural charcoal, wood ash, thermophilic compost, sheep manure, palagonite, seaweed pellets, worm castings and perlite. Then it got a liquid inoculation of bacteria and fungi.
They can get up to six metres tall. I’m determined to get it to the point where it’ll be unstoppable, l reckon it’ll be four years.
