New Dundee? I'm from a place in Scotland called Dundee. Do you know if there's any correlation between the two? Sorry for the non relevant comment by the way lol
Holy crap, your kid is precious. Must've been an amazing day out! I went to a place like that with my dad when I was a kid. Caught my first catfish, tasted it for the first time, too. Really good memories.
Good job on your report Holden, very impressive! I fell asleep last night as it was actually 4 o'clock am, had to finish watching it this am, again now it's 1:30 am, Sunday Mother's day! Don't forget guys to treat your mom's on this day, that is just to appreciate her!
Full stop. I just wanted to say my boys and I love watching your videos. I’m a mother and avid outdoorsman. I hunt and fish and teach my boys survival skills as often as I can. It’s my favorite past time. The only issue I have with your videos is the constant talk about men and boys and masculinity. I’m a woman. I’m married to a man who is not interested in any outdoor activities. I’ve been hunting fishing and learning primitive survival since I was a child. Please don’t limit your audience to men and boys only. Some of us women love to do the things the men do. Just wanted to say that we love your channel and hope to see you adding women into your talks. Don’t get me wrong. I know most women aren’t into this way of living. But some are. 😊 We live in Kentucky and will be moving to a farm soon and would love to have you come out and do a survival challenge on our land. ❤️
I have ALWAYS LOVED the WBM and his family, my oh my, how have they grown! Beacause of Chris and his extended family, I NOW watch Many others, Seriously!!
you have a beautiful family. i enjoy youre channel an you present things in an easy to understand way. keep up the good work looking forward to many more videos.
Great to see Lyndon Trout Hatchery making the kids happy with the trophy and medal :), awesome facility, great video ... Thanks all the way from New Zealand!!
Chris, thanks for making all of your videos. It makes me happy whenever I watch your videos or see you post. Your contents are great, and you seem like a great person too. Living a life like yours is definitely a GOAL. Cheers mate
I'm glad that you repeatedly say one word. I thought I was the only one that gets stuck on a word or song and sing it over and over again, I find it very relaxing to do so and it clears the mind and makes me laugh :-)
Another great lesson video. I loved the part where you outlined the difference between winning trophies and participation trophies to your son. Btw Thanks to you and Jeremy, I had my first groundhog stew this morning. (simmered it around 6 hours yesterday). Reheated this morning. It tastes like a pre seasoned meat. Very good. Has a natural herb flavor.
Full stop great video Chris, it's good that you can get access and permission to adjust the big pond and Lyndon will help stocking it that's awesome :-) maybe minnows and frogs at the cabin pond for bait. Great report Holden, that looked like a great day out.
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy your projects at the cabin. What I like about your nature adventures is that u get unexpected things happen like accidental falling through ice, late night mishaps, burly and furry visitors, not catching fish or not knowing the best fishing hole (catching TONS) or forest fires in the distance or finding amazing things. I like the new series but please continue your fly-in portaging/cooking/gathering adventures at Adventure lake and red (?) outfitters and elsewhere. And winter hot tent on the lake. I do get the allure of having nature closer to home (and making memories) where u can be more involved in your family’s life. But there’s Nothing like the sound of your boots crunching on the snow when it’s -20 degrees and not having wives, pets or children in a man’s adventure. Theres also something so calming about your voice during “on trip” early morning check-ins and hearing birds, water, twigs crunching underfoot, and the sounds of nature. Sometimes when I watch I feel like I can even smell the forest and the sensory elements of your Adventure. There’s something so pure about getting away for 2 men up to the challenge.
Full stop. I like the presentation. Good to see you got some kids involved as well. It’s too bad that you can’t get something in your place, but having something close is a decent compromise. I am looking forward to see if you can get something dug that you can use the creek the beavers are working to fill your new one up and provide a clean water source. Just be sure to add a woodduck box. If you build it they will come.
Your fishing setup looks similar to mine. I use a St. Croix with a Pflueger reel for walleye and preferably anything under 12 pounds or so. Anyhow, looked like a great time, thanks for taking us along. Full stop.
Full stop. Been watching you since season 1 of the wilderness living challenge still have the watch the last series love all your videos dude you are the man! I've always wanted my own fishing pond so this is super cool to watch
This has to be one of my favorite episodes. At first i was wondering what the heck you were doing, but I'm glad that you were just kidding. Keep up the good work.
FULL STOP. Thanks for the video Chris really good. I love trout fishing, i have been today with no luck, but the weather is improving.,,UK. Nice bit of school work too. :)
Full stop ! Really good video ! Very informative. Thank you. I'm from Switzerland, I have a fish-thingy 30min to me. No I want to go try that and feast on fish at my camp !
Full stop, period. Great to see your lad has as much Energy as his namesake. Will you be learning and teaching him how to fly fish ? I wonder what Canadian Trout tastes like with Wodobo spices. Although nothing beats slices of lemon in the chest, a little garlic butter. Damn it, now I want fish. I wonder, do they deliver to Australia..
When I was a kid in England my uncle used to hang a bit of road kill over a spot he wanted to fish let it get fly blown and then go back and fly fish it for the trout. You could do that sort of thing in the pond. Have a look at maggot feeders as in a bucket with holes and then you put offal spoiled meat in it gets fly blown and the maggots migrate out to turn into flies but they drop in the water. High protein fish food. Big enough holes for the maggots to get out but big enough for flies to get in closed top with holes in and smaller ones around the sides. A few cms up. Not too smelly unless you are right on top of it. We used to hang a road kill rabbit under a bridge near us and got great fish. Great to see your son get the big one ;-) Gonna be fishing in the Uk in July for sport but it will be fun.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman Hang it high in a tree 3mtrs maybe if you swim under at worst a maggot drops on you but you would not smell it. Or low and stay away bears might be a problem if low? I know it works and free fish food.
We have a trout hatchery just up the road, and its pretty cool and open to the public. If you call ahead they will even set up a tour for you. They also do classes on raising bees, which is odd being a hatchery but whatever XD
