Love having Karlach solo this guy. On my first time doing this hight he resisted being knocked prone by flurry, so she politely picked him up, threw him at the chandelier above the table, and proceeded to cut him in half with a great sword 😂
holy shit this is something else, I was directed here from a link in an Honour Mode document as I'm doing my first and fuck that's wild - thank you for showing this
Gortash is such an underwhelming boss :( dead in a turn without even using haste, not even a dangerous reaction like Orin. Very nice video anyway! How nice that Karlach got him (o: I am seriously rethinking my monk 6 fighter 2 thief 4.
To be fair to Gortash, to me his actual boss fight is the iron throne and the watcher colossus. He's a Bane guy, all about tiranny and political power. He isn't dangerous himself, he's dangerous because of all the influence he has. It's why his first encounter where he's crowning himself and has a bunch of steel watchers is much more dangerous.
@@rm2569fully agree, but with all the influence he has, he should be able to defend himself better. He’s the recently crowned arch-duke, there are terrorists on the run who just took down the cities army. Gortash should be there behind waves of guards and traps.
Hey, I like your videos. Could you please make a video or some text tips about 4 elements monk? Animation looks so cool on it, but it is in no comparison for "open hand" monks
No, i don't use Tiktok, so it would be someone else uploading. As long as there aren't any malicious intents involving them, i hope, then there is nothing to be done.
yes, as pinpout is correct, to clarify more: you get it from praying to one of the gods in Stormshore Tabernacle (5000g). it's available for every characters, and they can do so again everyday for free afterward. You can also steal the gold back, by going into the place basement.
They're good for trash killing - some classes aren't boss killers. Druid especially spores is a great trash killer and druid doesn't get good until you get the spore armor from Act 3. It's good around level 6-8 then again at 12. Killing trash would be the Shar in act 3. That's why he doesn't solo that one - Sin Tee is mainly a Boss killer and pretty good at it.
You can get psychic damage as a passive with OH Monk at Monk level 6. You can also switch between necrotic and radiant damage with this passive. You can see these options in the second section of the skills bar, 3rd row down
Depends on the area. Some builds and classes excel at killing trash. Some are good at killing bosses. Best boss killer is probably sorcadin, champion archer next. Trash killers are the druid land, spores and throw barbarian. So really if you want to - bring two bossers and two trash killers.
@@Zero1zero-lk6qyId say tempest storm sorcerer is the best trash killer and also super good against bosses. Wet lightning is pretty insane. Monk is up there as you can see, Astarion with hand bows is also cracked as fuck even at early levels with sharpshooter feat. You can deal from 40-55 dmg as a level 4 Astarion, and this only increases as the game progresses. It's very easy to make up for the attack roll penalty from sharpshooter. The only sad thing is that there are no legendary hand bows. As you pointed out, the throw build is really good. Haven't tried the druid yet.
He could very easily do that. But you’d be coming in at level 10 and missing a bonus action. But the bigger problem is running out of ki points before you get all of the steelwatch. So, the issue isn’t survivability it’s resources. The build that would solo all of this easily at the gortesh ceremony would be his champion archer build.
well Monk class add wis+dex mod to AC so that 10( base AC) + 9 = 19 AC , then plus 1 from ring ,plus 2 from robe, plus 2 from hasten potion meaning 24 AC
Vest is better for Act 3 because you can force enemy Opportunity Attack to proc the Vest's Kushigo Counter using a Reaction to do an Unarmed Attack. Getting one more additional attack is better than having +1 damage. (Alas, the fight ended quicker before i could utilize it) Beside, Graceful Cloth (the Unarmed version) is recently removed in the latest patch. It's no longer sold by Araj Oblodra in Act 2. Only Graceful Cloth (Dexterity version) is available, which doesn't increase TB Monk damage as they scale with STR.
@@sintee106 thank you. I don't see how you use opportunity attack. I hope you remember that The Graceful Cloth stil sold by Lady Esther at the Rosymorn Monastery Trail
@@henrymorgan7611 By attacking then moving away on purpose gets you the reaction unarmed attack as a counter. Sin Tee already mentioned he is a strength based tavern brawler monk not a dex monk. The Graceful cloth sold by Esther is the dex version. He's not a dex monk.

It'd be so cool to see this as a full build!

Hardest boss fight in the game, if you take him down during the ceremony with Steel Watch around
