Have absolutely loved this band since they dropped their first album. Watching this all these years later, it's so obvious that they were going to implode due to alcoholism.
part of what i love about them is their story...they're the very definition of imperfect and even messed up ones but held on to their dreams and tried to turn their lives around...now they're all married and the three of them of have babies already and they still keep doing what they love, and that's making music...
Ms Hynde from the Pretenders recommended the band and that’s how I fell into the rabbit hole. I was also needing an operation about the same time. Listened to them at Dr’s appointments, etc. Anyway, all is well and I really appreciate that their music got me through that. Probably sounds dumb, but still listen in because despite the stress the music was a perfect distraction.
I remember watching kings of leon at Cardiff arena in 2005. They were amazing. I always knew that they were special. I remember I was in a nightclub 3 years later and sex on fire was getting played 5 or 6 times by the DJ and people were going nuts for it. I remember thinking how surreal it was to not only hear them being played in a nightclub that mainly played the hip hop, r n'b, pop and dance tracks of the day but how everyone was reacting to it. I knew at that moment that everything had changed. It was really hard for a lot people to swallow at the time just how much of leap they had taken from the first 3 albums but for me it was inevitable that they would be recognised.
When he said socks on fire i kid you not i actually thought the record was called socks on fire for like 6 years because thats what my mom and dad told me😂😂😂
My 3 year old son loves Kings of Leon. He loves Sex on Fire, but sings socks on fire. When I listen to it with him, I also sing socks on fire. It's cool that Caleb says this to kids :)
Been listening to these guys for a good while & knew they had talent & potential. I've been around a long minute (first concert was Jimi Hendrix in Houston) & looking forward to more music from KOL.
"A lot of bad decisions have been made on this strip". LOL amen to that- Nashville/Broadway have always been good to me, it's my adopted homeotwn.. But good lord, some crazy decions have been made there! Very memorable ones too. Love that city
You with your switchblade Posse I'll get my guns from the south, we'll take to the yard like a cockfight,, for kicks who struttin' now ? Possibly the baddest the sickest verse from KOL.
does anyone know the name of this documentary/interview so i can watch the proper thing without the editing? Looking for it everywhere and can't find it.
the most vague origin story ever. They just started writing songs even though none of them could play music??? Then they got signed?? lololoololooooooooooolol um ok!

I love Caleb’s honesty.
That very last phrase makes so much sense now!
These are the nicest guys ever ❤️
Caleb does a fabulous job since he is so shy
I was living in high Wycombe when they did that little gig, unfortunately didn’t see them 😔
Did anyone else notice that the interviewer always does the exact gestures that Caleb is doing? :D
“Why would i!? He was a c***” 😂
Thank you for being you!
Big KOL fan here 🤝
You with your switchblade Posse I'll get my guns from the south, we'll take to the yard like a cockfight,, for kicks who struttin' now ?

They're all alcoholics. But I love them. Maybe their music wouldn't be as good as it is now when they wouldn't drink so much.

The drummer is Chris Pontius...
AQueenOfTheStoneAge ..........

Caleb, I'm your age, I would go to church if you were my preacher. Hit me up!! Now it the time.
How come these guys don't do American media nor do they have Wikipedia pages?
they have gotten super rich now...
Yes I am
merci makemyday1980 pour la video
Or is it that they're drunk? Curious
6:43 was funny.... so he was totally joking about that, though?
+glacier8 I know this comment was a while back but, 12'' inches means a vinyl record. For example, "Hey put the needle on that 12 inch."
Isaiah Govea No, it was a penis joke..
It turned into a penis joke
They're actually on drugs when they write alot of their songs.
These guys can drink.
The editing of this video is absolutely horrible. Not a smooth transition and it's distracting.
