Funny you mention that. When I was a kid I used to go visit relatives in Tennessee for about two weeks at a time and that's all it took to start developing that southern drawl and twang. Give it two months, and no doubt I would've been speaking full on hillbilly. 😃
He is phenomenon, every movie he has been, has you mesmerised, terrified and fixed on his character and the presence he brings. Im always on the edge of my seat. Brilliant and dedicated actor. Hot top ;)
Warrior is my favourite Tom Hardy film. Have watched it countless times and it still makes me cry. The National playing at the end is a cherry on the cake.
The transition he made between playing Stuart Shorter and Charlie Bronson remains unmatched. He completely committed to those roles nearly simultaneously. Worth reading about and looking at.
He's actually a quiet shy bloke in real life. It's as though acting brings out the confidence in him if you know what I mean. I once saw him in Richmond shopping at Marks and Spencers great guy 👌 loved him in the Cray, s film 🎥
Lot's, if not most, people are shy on the inside. If not necessarily shyness as in social awkwardness, there's something like an inner child that never leaves us and for a lot of people that inner child is frightened. In this mad world we live in, can you blame it?🤔 As far as the outward manifestation of shyness, lots of people are famous for studying acting to over come it. I remember reading somewhere that Simon Le Bon, Lead singer of Duran Duran, was actually very shy as a young man, and I believe (if I rememver correctly) that's exactly what he did to overcome his shyness, and look at all he's gone on to do!
He is a super talented actor and the way he changes his vocal work to style each of his characters is quite praiseworthy. He's really good. He's the guy who should play the 'new James Bond' ----just my two cents ; - )
He has such a sweet, attractive face and smile. I've basically just "discovered" him from Peaky Blinders and now I am looking for his films and series. He's a great actor.
@@ritchski1 - Nah, James Bond needs to have a certain wisdom and sophistication that only comes from having had real life experience. Of course I say this as a 57 year old!😆
Absolutely, I used to drink to excess and have blackouts and crazy stories like Tom, but I finally decided I'm just someone who shouldn't drink, so I quit about 7 years ago. Believe it or not, I still hang out sometimes in bars, just for the social scene and having fun, singing Karaoke and playing pool and such. I have people around me drinking constantly and I do not have the slightest desire to drink, I know it's my kryptonite. And I know there are so many achievements that wouldn't have happened were I still drinking. So many people drink to 'TRY' to bury their problems, but what they are unwittingly doing is exacerbating them. It takes some serious self reflection and grit to admit you have a problem and deal with it, instead of trying to bury it, run away from it, or put another way, distract your conscious mind from what's percolating under the surface.
@@SlimyLotusKingwow .. 2 questions for you : 1. I do get you when you say that people drink as a means to escape. If that's the case, I'm against it as well. But sometimes people drink just for fun. @@Your_friend3999 Not trying to be snarky, but I don't believe I said it was 'wrong' to drink at all. However, drinking to excess can definitely be counter productive and even dangerous, in too many different ways to get into here. So, no, people drinking for fun is not wrong. But this goes back to my whole point, is it just about having fun or is it really about something else? I think the most common reason people drink is to enable them to go out and socialize and numb the social anxiety they feel. So the question then becomes, why do so many people feel awkward and uncomfortable in social settings? I'm not a writer, but I write a lot. So maybe that's the tip. Thanks.🙏
@@SlimyLotusKingDrinking occasionally for fun is not wrong whatsoever. It's whenever you are an addict that it becomes a problem. I think it’s so sweet how humble he is. He gets noticeably a little uncomfortable when being praised or complimented
I noticed that too!
He is in good company, Brando was like that - with perhaps more American directness as he would often rebuke the host when praised.

Changing accents is actually a sign of empathy. We try to speak like those around us to fit in and make others in our company comfortable. ❤

To declare that it's 'actually a sign of empathy' is a great simplification of a complex human behaviour.
Huh. I do this with people’s idiosyncrasies or mannerisms. Huh. I’m empathetic…
