All of Kings of Leon’s albums are good I don’t know why everybody hates all the new albums I believe every album They make are special And bring something cool
i dont think they give their earliest albums as much credit as they deserve. this was literally the best album they have IMO. four kicks, king of the rodeo, like all of the songs were hits to me. i could listen to it over and over
The first 3 albums IMO were the best the ever did, Aha Shake Heartbreak, Youth & Young Manhood then Because Of The Times, in that order - Their albums still sound amazing almost two decades later. The entire album track list, one after another was just music I couldn't get enough of.
Not only their best album but one of the best albums ever by anyone. I bought it the day it came out and have listened to it hundreds (maybe thousands) of times, and I never get even a little bit tired of it. In fact, I'm going to listen again now…
I seen them at oxygen 2006 when I was 15, vintage KOL takes me back to growing up, they never sold out they grew up. Real fans are still supporting them whatever they make
There with you seen them in 2007 during Pukkelpop in Belgium. Could sing along every song and that has never changes I think I was 15 too around that time
@@kaleb9388 I don't think they necessarily sold out. Selling out is making a conscious decision to change in order to gain more appeal. They grew up. People change, taste changes, and creative approaches change.
This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Every aspect of Aha Shake Heartbreak is perfect to me. It's up there with Panic Movement, Is This It, Up The Bracket and No Wow
This album is straight up brilliant, start to finish. Although it was missed or overlooked by many, it weathers so well that it's destined to be a classic. May just be my favorite all album of all time
"what have you got" "Kings of Leon CD" "Great well that's useless isn't it" "It's not useless it's a blinding album, it's better than there first one and they came up with it really quickly" "Thanks NME"
This is forever my favorite KOL album. Besides being a rock and roll modern masterpiece with absolutely raw incredible music, it means more to me than that. Cause it’s tied to a very specific place, in a very specific period of time, and a very particular person in my life then. A person I loved who loved me. And is now forever gone. We listened to this album all fall together when it came out, all those many years ago, in my car, on his motorcycle, cutting through the night with a world of stars above us. I miss him. I’ll love him forever. Can’t believe it’s been so very long ago now. But he and this album will always have a very special place in my heart. A heart that was broken, and healed crooked. A heart that will never beat the same again.
20 years on 8 albums, globally known, i dont know them personally but im proud of what they have become. They inspire me eveyday to pick up the guitar. I cant thank them enough.
The comment section is talking about how they miss the old KOL.. they just dropped 2 absolute pearls off their upcoming album! Can’t wait for March! This band is incapable of making music anything short of MOVING! Relate with these guys so much. My favorite band of all time.
And all along you stayed together probably there was misunderstandings but you know you’re all together end it will be like that because you all night at the new stand on that way - Siri changed - I’m saying you know all that there is nothing what can split you apart like usually hi end rock and roll bands beak apart. I think you are all wired 😂
Totally agree; first 3 were really extra special. They had the big hits then, and fell into such a formula in the writing. They sound passionate here in this clip. Caleb talking about the lyrics "not expecting you to understand"; and recording on to tape! They lost much of that. IMO way to early for a band to become jaded. As good as the music still is; the songs, arrangements, individual parts -[ they have become boring on live stage. But I say it again - those first 3 albums don't have one weak moment o them; not one, exciting from start to finish.
@@palacerevolution2000 totally agree - they made three flawless albums and clearly had more to give. Instead they’re now floundering around trying to make something more commercially successful and generic sounding. It is such a shame as their musical genius is rare.
Early Kings of Leon had something special.
All of Kings of Leon’s albums are good I don’t know why everybody hates all the new albums I believe every album They make are special And bring something cool
Hell yeah they were so raw and visceral and young and hungry
Damn right
The first 2 just sound so different.
@@kurtistheturtis5331 they just turned too pop for some of us. We loved this raw KoL
Wow - 20 fuckin years ago... these lads were the soundtrack to my youth
That Milk intro is just soooo fucking good
Jared's bass is magical for sure
i dont think they give their earliest albums as much credit as they deserve. this was literally the best album they have IMO. four kicks, king of the rodeo, like all of the songs were hits to me. i could listen to it over and over
I think that they would say this is probably their best album?
When I first bought the album I did listen to it over and over again. It’s a classic album, probably my number 3 fav of all time.

I still love kol
You're Damm right
I'm a real fan of their first 3 albums. They used to jam the fuck out. Changed their style to appeal to the masses... the definition of selling out.
@@kaleb9388 agree they were a genius band before they sold out. I’ve never seen them and now never would because I’d hate half the set.

Panic movement by the Hiss? Ffs that's a band I'd completely forgotten
Peaked with Because of the Times. Still a great band but been way middle of the road since then. The rawness of the first 2 albums was so special
I always said that after BOTT the got to big sounding too arena rock

One of those albums that just puts you on another level when you are feeling high
I edited this and put it together with a good friend at the label.
The first three KOL albums are so gold and some of my all time favorite albums.
Beautiful. Caleb has such a beautiful soul. They are so talented and pure.
He is miserable but his voice is magic!
Hands down their best album, and one of the great Rock and Roll albums of all time 💯
Still to this day my favourite album ever, milk, four kicks, bucket can't beat any of the songs on it ♥️
Their best album imho.❤
Not a single skip on this album
first minute is some of the best sounding music ever and they are just setting up

Thanks for uploading this!
This is class. Never seen this before
We need alot more of these recording sessions!🤘
Greatest album of all time..... period
And 20 years later, there’s still the best. People saying they sold out it’s called growing up.
Best album!
I remember this room....
this is so good
I thought Jared was Caleb here
Then Nathan was Caleb
But no it’s just Caleb with that damn hat 😂
Classic video either way , thanks
CAN THEY PLEASE WORK WITH ANGELO AGAIN. I MISS THAT GUY

At the end talking about 20 years from now, well they just released number 8
It was fun 🤩
8:05 is pretty crazy. I'm glad they kept going.
You guys stil have the time machine you guys used for this video..
At this point in time they were near untouchable
What's the piano song they're playing around minute 7? Is that a B-side?
2022
First two albums were great
How did you get this video. Is there anywhere else I can see vids like this.????
Where did you come across this film?
so kool yet studied
😍😍😍😍😍
Jaquire King without beard!!!
7:56 2021 Caleb comes from the future to teach some chords
The music had much more artistic aspects to it than the later stuff
Life Short. GOOD. HAIRCUT.
This is proper KOL
They were the Rolling Stones for a while. Brilliant
where is this from?
0:15... was that a flip phone
Old skool
2004 bro no Facebook or iPhone
What was that song at the end?????
Anyone know the song towards the end they were playing the piano was?
Sounded like On Call to me
Are you sure man? It sounded like something completely different to me but I will believe ya 😂
Early KOL was the best
What’s the song at 2:50?
Where nobody knows, i believe
Yup, Where Nobody Knows
Did Caleb lose a bet with his bowl cut?

Why aren’t they wearing masks? Oh wait this was 20 years ago..
6:20 I'm gonna assume that didn't happen
I miss this KOL. 4 great albums then someone shaved a beard and it was fucked.
I feel like this album has been lost due to how poor the bands output became
First three albums were genius and they sounded like no-one but themselves. It’s a shame they tried to be U2 and ruined the magic.
