I hope they do this same thing but for the GBA. The original format. Would be fantastic! Them being able to find a screen with the exact pixel layout is a huge win and it's really what separates this from every other option available.
I am absolutely loving mine. It isn't as good a value as something like the Pocket since it will only do GB and GBC, but there is no better way to play those. And the build quality is just so great. Definitely not for everyone, but what it does, it does better than anyone. Thanks for throwing up the stand file, I got mine ordered.
Did you know that the Game Gear also uses a 160 x 144 pixel resolution? And the NGP(C) is 160 x 152 pixels, so only 4 lines at the top and bottom each that would be overscun?
Good news, the game gear uses the same 160x144 resolution! (The real hardware uses a 4:3 aspect ratio, so some games will appear "squished" compared to real hardware, but the resolution matches.)
Excelent video! I really like all that you cover about the hardware and hidden features. Thank you!
Such a great tear down of the device. I love the detail that you go into.
Waiting on Inside Famicon Episode 6. Cheers from Brazil. Love your work.
Working on it! Thanks!
Amazing deep dive & technical explanation! Wow

Nice - hope you enjoy the stand!

Oh really.. no, I wasn't aware that the GG had the same resolution... 🤔
Atari Lynx is 160 x 102, so also possible, although refresh rates might be a problem.

Just saw that in a different comment... I'm sure we'll see someone load the GG core onto it sometime soon
