Biting the Bullitt!!! Over the Guard-Rail and Into the Woods to Da Dada Dada

- A rather tricky situation for me to figure out with a rare Ford Mustang Bullitt edition that ended up in the woods on the opposite side of a guard rail on a dark, rainy night. All I had to work with was the our Peterbilt rollback unit #15 with a Miller Industries Century LCG 12 bed and a home-made side puller. No injuries other than the car, the guard-rail, and a few trees. Special thanks to Scott City Fire Department, NBC Fire Protection District, the Scott County Missouri Sheriff, the Scott County Sheriff's Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP)!!! Please SLOW DOWN & MOVE OVER!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

I find it funny that the owner told you to be careful with it when in fact if he had been careful with it you wouldn't be there.
😭🤣🤣
Ha Ha
I did towing and recovery for 7 years. Can't tell you how many times I heard that.
Easy to assume, but wet roads can cause even good, careful drivers in underpowered soccer-mom minivans to wreck. So let's not be too hasty is assigning blame.
be careful with the totaled heap, then again, they're likely going to part it out and every non damaged part will bring big bucks ;)
**watching further in, do not bother trying to save anything by 8:29, that thing is ten fold beyond a total loss. someone was carelessly hot-rodding in traffic whilst buzzed up, trying to impress a lady(or lady boy these days) or under-skilled and overpaid(I wont delve into the majority area of college folks)/...
Got to love the guy that wrecks his special car and then immediately has to tell Ron “It’s a Bullitt” like he expects Ron to wreck it more than it already is. Apparently he hasn’t seen the care and methodical nature Ron puts into his work.
Yes, he couldn't have picked a better place to wreck the thing.
Ron puts his whole heart into the job. Hes got plan A< B< C< and more
Dude doesn't know Ron, and frankly a lot of tow operators would be pretty cavalier. _"Oh, dude owns a limited edition muscle car? He's got more money than sense, he can afford to get it fixed, so it doesn't matter what I do. Maybe he'll drive more carefully next time, hurrr hurrr hurrr."_ There's a reason why envy is considered to be one of the seven deadly sins.
It WAS a bullitt.
its a mustang gt with some green paint and chrome window surround...big deal lol
The original Bullitt Mustang was a 1968. THAT is a rare car!
Nice job
It was a car in a movie, any modifications were nothing special that couldn't be done to any '68 Mustang, I love the fact that it was used as a daily driver until it broke. Love the fact that the Family knew what they had, and held onto it quietly for so, so long building up the idiot frenzy. Auction Companies make a bundle off these cars, like "Bullitt" Mustang, The "Green Hornet" Mustang, or the "Little Red" Mustang. Glad to see the family did so well on a car they loved, and appreciated for so long. But does it really matter that "George Washington Slept here". Be happy, be safe, and have fun.
And even then was kinda corny..
Check out Jay Leno Garage, he has one.. or two.
New ones are rare too. Very $$$
If I had a rare car like that , Ron would be the only one I would call, he has so much consideration and respect for other people’s property
I love how all of the agencies can work together like a well oiled machine.
That's the joy of the incident command system
Was just going to post that exact same comment.
That may be the slowest pursuit of a reversing tow truck ever recorded.
Don't forget that one of the pickups in pursuit was also reversing :D
Ron, I couldn't help but chuckle when you were thanking everyone for helping. Just having that one firefighter tend your tripod light and keeping the area lit was a really big help. Keep up the good work.
Right? I thought that was really kind.
I think those firefighters really liked that area light. If they don't have any like it themselves, I'll bet they'll try to get some. (I;m surprised how reasonable the price is on those!)
in the end, the idea is help clear the scene as fast as possible! if that means more or less standing there looking dumb while simply aiming a light to help others out so be it.
too many people are all "not my job, not my problem" now days and wouldn't help the least bit whilst sitting back with thumbs in their bums.
I'm not like that mostly, unless I know for sure it will injure/reinjure me and put me out of commission for weeks/months ;)
(To be sung with a Porky Pig voice) "Over the guardrail and into the woods, To the body shop she'll go, What this will do to his insurance rates, We really don't want to know!" Nice job, Mr. Pratt, very well thought out indeed! greetings from Dartmouth, NS, Canada!
rough and tough, LOL. sadly some folks just don't know, that beyond a stiff breezy fart hitting their vehicle = totaled. then again, the person may have known and wanted to salvage every part possible for used sale value.
some tow companies would just not care and destroy the car ten fold more and reduce the salvage parts down to null.
Likely hydroplaning in the rain. At least that is what the driver will claim.
Stahp it! lmfao. 😅 👏 😂
You nailed it Ron with "We are all out here risking out lives for this." Few of those zooming by have any idea how dangerous it is to be working highway incidents.
Great extraction Ron! Sad to see a limited edition anything banged up like that, even if it is a Ford! LOL Stranger says to Ron "Hey, do you lift weights?" Ron says "Nope, I just carry chains, shackles, drag steel cables, pick up wheels and stuff, oh, and every once and a while, it's not uphill."
thats great hun
how are you doing
It’s great seeing all of those First Responders work with you to ensure everyone’s safety. It pays off that you train with them so much and so often.
I love seeing how you all work with each other as a team. Troopers are like " we can do what ever you say, its your show." And the FD dose the little things like setting up your light and moving it along with the car. Or help picking up parts of the car... I love the respect and trust you all have for each others as first responders.
and i think that really led to a successful job done
how are you doing hun
Ron now has a lighting crew. Lol God bless
...and actually a really good lighting crew! They were right where they were needed.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You don’t see quite the cooperation as you see here on other tater/ towing channels. (Not to say it doesn’t happen) Thanks to everyone for supporting each other.
I quit watching some of the guys on UA-cam because of the of the way they talked to law enforcement officers and others they worked with. Ron has respect for all on the seen. He knows his business is the people he is working for. A lot of people need to learn were their money comes from. If you drive people away from you you will become unemployed before long. Ron knows what keeps the doors open.
@@dancrafton89 Respect goes a long way. Too often we forget it when we get rattled.
The cooperation/support between agencies is truly wonderful. World needs more of that!
Seeing the rolling block at the end was awesome, everyone working together. Great to see!
All them law enforcement officers and firemen chasing a rollback backing down the interstate highway.
The amount of knowledge, experience, and skill from all first responders is incredible. And everyone works together so well without ego involvement. Well done !!
It was nice of those firefighters to keep moving your light for you.
You don’t need to apologize for not talking. Most of us came to watch and learn.
Sometimes you don't need to say anything, actions speak louder than words. Great job Ron.
Had to have my car towed this week. The young man did an excellent job of extracting the car from around the side of the garage where it was parked. We got to talking about his training -- he told me about the education he was getting from the family-owned towing company and then said he also was getting some good advice off UA-cam from this guy out in Missouri. I said "Ron Pratt?". "Yeah. That's the guy! He's good." So thanks, Ron, for your customer service, 800 miles away.
It's a good morning, breakfast and a Ron Pratt Video.
Thanks to everyone for their service. We need to pray for all of the people that keeps us safe and are there for us when something happens to us.
Great job Ron.
Dan C. Truer words were never spoken. I'm sure a lot of us are thinking the same thing!
I'm thinking that Steve McQueen would not be a happy camper if he could see how this version of the Bullitt was driven. Great recovery Ron!
That side puller you made has more than earned its money back! Thanks for sharing a tricky recovery and just goes to show.. you don't always need a big truck for an awkward space :)
That side puller is awesome! The ONLY comment I have is that if it DID fail, you want to be on the “wrong” side of the cable so you don’t get hit it that roller or the puller failed.
Man. Its just awesome that y'all get along very well with your local fire rescue and police.
I can't wait to see this car for sale in Indiana next year with a rebuilt title! Humor aside, I'm glad the gentleman was ok, nice work as always Ron
Auto RV has one for sale.......Call for price....LOL
Wow the crash dynamics must've been something! Glad to see everyone walked out okay. What a great recovery!
At least it wasn't as flattened as the other car was in the original movie. But I was also reminded of the episode of Blue Bloods with "the Bullitt Car".
Now, that is teamwork at it's best! Glad everyone was safe,
Excellent work there, Ron! Happpy to see the fine cooperation between the agencies and yourself! :-)
Great, perfect timing, lunch with Mr Ron.
Always nice to watch a pro at work, no matter what they're doing. Stay safe
Excellent recovery Ron, in very challenging circumstances. I am always impressed by your non judgemental approach to these mini disasters.
Sad about the car, but at least the occupants were unscathed. Roy W. Nantwich UK
Ron, fantastic job! You didn’t have to say much of anything because the steps you went through explained it all. We got watch you silently show us so much of what you have showed and taught us already. This is actually one of my favorite videos that you’ve done. Thanks so much for posting. God Bless you, Brother!
My compliments on NOT blocking the interstate, most would of shut it down. Your concern for OTHERS is what IMO,separates you and your crew from the res! God bless and keep you and yours safe!
RON, GOOD AFTERNOON, this TANG, must have been flying, hit a dip, then went airborne, but it looks as though a section of guardrail was missing, then you took out more to get the car loaded, glad it did NOT ROLL & driver is OK, thanks for the SCOTT CITY PD & Firedept along with MOSPD, also helped out, man your side puller also saved the day ! God Bless you all, take care , it’s 12;35 when finished here 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
"Not saying much, too busy working". Fine Ron! Safety, efficiency, and speed take precedence. Seeing your real world is always Great! Thank You...
Love the side pull you made. It also gives you an offset parallel pull when needed. Good to see all the assistance bodies working as one. Stay safe out there. Slow down and move over.😉
that Bullitt acting like the Dallas magic bullet, the others produced that year just gained value.
For each situation and all conditions, Ron has a perfect solution.
"And as always", using Ron`s words, I`m impressed 👍.
Klaus Z, as near as I can figure Ron's about the same age as my second son, and both of them are impressive. Work ethic, check. Walk with faith in the Lord, check. Polite and respectful towards others, check. Admire them both check. Have a great day, God bless.
Also my first born son has the same qualities. Love and admiration to both sons. Ron seems to be a combination of them.
Ron; I’ve seen a ton of your videos; this by far IS THE BEST one; like you said, “Thanks to ALL of the Agencies that ASSISTED you!!!”
Good Morning My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff & I Am Praying For The People Of This Automobile Accident This Morning
Thank You All For Liking My Comments To Mr Ron Pratt & Him Whole Staff
It is so impressive how you treat all those who protect and help you on the road: Fire Departments, Sheriffs, State Troopers, etc. I've see other who don't get it, like you do. I also appreciate your request for prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes. Blessings on you and yours.
Mike Mullich
Lancaster, CA
That was a tricky one. The recovery was simple, but the location wasn't!
It's a good job thanks Ron Pratt. And thanks to highway patrol fire and everyone who was involved. God bless everyone.
I'm glad you commented that it made you nervous heading the wrong way onto an Interstate! I was taken back just watching the video. Stay safe!
Good morning everyone. It's now officially Friday. God bless
God bless you too.
How can anyone dislike the service Ron provides?? Can't understand why.
A very good recovery you make it look so easy can you not find a difficult one LOL!! you all stay safe out there
Nice quick and safe recovery Ron and a good workout too...! Also nice to hear you giving a shout out to all the folks that helped you with the safety part too...!
Ron in your part of the USA law, fire, ems and towing/recovery all choose to work together for the greatest and safest good. My understanding is not all places in the USA choose to do things the way all of you do. I feel that your videos and the teamwork all responders show and give should be a world wide example of how to do thigs for the greatest good and the safest ways that can be done. Keep up the good safe work out there all of you. Thank you Ron for choosing to share some of your profession with all of us.
Hey Rotator Ron! Steve McQueen wouldn't have wiped out because of a sudden strait stretch! Ride ride ride!
Always learn full to watch a vid of the one and only Ron!! 🤗
Everybody there did their job and helped you and you helped them so God-bless all of them both of them and God-bless you
Ron- the speed and professionalism you display is amazing. When you made the comment under your breath that you weren't "talking much, you were too busy" made me realize that you weren't talking due to the wheels turning in your head to minimize risk for all involved, and at the same time try to minimize damage to that rare mustang. All the while hooking up and calculating angles on the fly in adverse conditions. My hat is off to you sir. Stay safe and keep the videos coming!
Well done Ron, it can get lonely out there on the Interstate but your buddies from the emergency services were watching your back. Stay safe ! 👍🇬🇧
This one was superhuman as well as the usual superprofessional. Continuous hustle for a half hour, rollback working perfectly, not a single problem. 1-2-3-gone. Hope that future cases work this well.
I can relate to the pressure of saftey on the intersate highway as fire fighter and officer and worked there it is scary with the traffic any time of the day. Please stay safe and my prayers are with you for what you do.
Well, the owner had a good attitude. If I crashed that car I may have cried. Lol. That guy's insurance company is in for one heckuva bill. It's always enjoyable watching someone who excels at their job work.
He did cry. He was heartbroken, that was his dream car.
Who cares if it is a Bullitt !!. It is just a wrecked car that needs removing from the ditch.
Ron needs a sidekick to help with such a job, that is time-consuming when working it alone.
Enjoyed the video.
Ron,, you are by far the the best man suited for the job. Go to it my man.
I've always wanted to get into heavy towing, some amazing work y'all do
My Kudos to the fireman that manned your spot light for you!
Good job on the recovery.
From bullit to spent round!
I like those special effects caused by the blue lighting. A Master Chef rarely talks making a feast so I don't expect a master vehicle extractor to talk either. Your work is like a Symphony Conductor at work!
Likely what you saw was the noise of the GoPro shooting in the dark and the blue lights amplify the video noise. GoPros tend to suck in low light as a general rule, so an auxiliary light of some sort tends to help. This is more noticeable due to UA-cam compression.
I really like these videos. He is a caring passionate man. If I ever drive through MO and have an auto accident or break down, I will request for only Ron Pratt's towing. Excellent work. Great job.
Ron to you and all of the tow truck drivers and law enforcement across this great country thanks for the job you do
Hello Ron, thank you for taking the time to video. Take it easy on yourself before you get hurt
PROFESSIONALISM at its best Ron
I love that the first thing you do when you show up is ask if he's OK.
You're a good man Mr. Ron.
Ron can do magic with those chains!
a whole lot of discussion at the beginning, Ron says like 5 times this is what The Plan is and checks again to make sure everyone knows The Plan. When Ron starts working The Plan there is no discussion, only focus on execution. In fact I think the only words spoken were "thank you", "I'm going to keep walking it up the side" and "sorry I'm not talking much...I'm working" Straight up impressive, this is how masters, regardless of the craft works. Thanks, keep safe.
Watching your videos make me pray for all of you on the side of our roads. Thank you
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Thanks for posting Ron Stay safe out there.
this shows how he was able to adapt while having another truck instead of the Rotator and still got the job done
What great teamwork and the officer moving the light for you was really helpfull
Now they see how the master of backwards driving works!
awesome that the others from the police and fire are watching and learning how you work. going to the person in charge to make your plan that one person is right there with your light he keeps moving that light for you and they jump right in to help move that cable. offering to close lane but listening to what you need for space and going with it. can certainly tell that everyone works together great team work from each department to keep everyone safe
Nice job brother! I love that side puller attachment.
Two things I liked about this video, great side pull, and less talking!😂
Another highly skilled Ford driver.
Ron, I was so happy to see the rolling block near the end when you were backing up the exit. I was really concerned when you were driving the wrong way down the exit. A driver coming the other way could have easily become confused and tried to drive to their right of you. That would have resulted in a nasty crash.
Several years ago, as a supervisor in a big city PD, we had an accident on an interstate highway. This was on an elevated bridge, 2 lanes south bound, curving to the left, with about 3 feet of shoulder on each side, then concrete and steel guard rails. We had the right lane blocked. Every thing was wet from a light rain. An elderly lady driving about 15 to 20 MPH sideswiped one of the police cars. With the all the flashing lights and the lights reflecting off the wet pavement, concrete and metal guard rails, signs, and other vehicles, she became momentarily disoriented and could not tell where she was supposed to drive. There was very minor damage, but if she had struck a person the consequences could have been much worse.
Shortly after that, we had an officer struck and killed while setting out flares to close a section of highway. Ironically, they were closing the highway after a different driver ran into the back of a fire truck blocking a previous accident. So, the original accident, the fire truck, and then the officer, all in the space of about a half hour.
Be careful and keep your head on a swivel.
There are surely some good people in the emergency services. What a blessing it must be to work with these good people, stay safe all of you, Thank you for the upload. Have a good week end . The driver must have put the lead in gonig down the road in that bullet.
Another successful job Ron, very well done. 👏🏽👌🏿🏆😜🙅🏻🧁👍🏻🌹🚘
Great job Ron as always take care of yourself and your family be safe and be careful God bless you and your family and crew
Sad to see the Stang hurt so badly but thrilled the driver was ok. My hubby has a head on collision with him 2012 3.7 Stang, she kept him safe she dropped the engine and crumpled around him. Many dog the Mustang but they WILL die protecting you. He walked away with just a slight compression fracture in 1 vertebrae.
The racing seats saved his life!
Nice to see how cartel works well. Safe and fast for everyone. Well done.
Glad there was no serious injuries, but bit of a risky situation with darkness and wet road.
alwahys good to see coperation between depts. another job well done ron thanks to all involved.
I really like how all the first responders work together to get the job done and keep everyone safe.
Great job everyone 👍
So good to see such cooperation between all crew and flawless orchestration.
As far as your UK viewers are concerned you are now driving on the correct side of the road! :-)
excellent work by everyone looking after each other, superb job.
It must be nice knowing that all the responders want to do what ever they can to help you. In this case you decline there offer to stop traffic for you because you do not need it and with the time of day and weather conditions you do not want to have traffic stopped unless that is truly necessary. I would find working with you to be easy and interesting. I could learn so many things and there would be things if I was a fire fighter that I could teach you some times also. It would be a good give and take with you every time I got to work with you. Just watching you videos I learn things and I am reminded of things I have not thought about in a long time. Thanks for sharing some of your career with us.
Awesome Awesome Awesome Team work from ALL Fire and Law Enforcement, and oh yeah... the best, Ron! :)
So many worries about upsetting the Police. You should be recognized for the expert you are and not so much drama about liabilities and making the police mad. Seems as an expert in recovery you should have control of the scene. Great video, you worked your butt off so everyone could go home safely. Thanks for letting us watch you work.
Nice work Ron. Love watching your videos as soon as I get out of school and get home I start to watch your new video on Friday's. Also I watched the video a couple of time the next week. This is about the second time I have watched this video. I love how the firefighter's just jump in to put your work light up for you, also they were moving the light without you asking them to do any of those for you. Thank you for your amazing work on the videos/jobs/calls. Ron stay safe and keep on working hard on the job/call at hand. If you talk in the videos that just that you are working hard, making sure you are safe, and you are trying to get the job done as fast as possible but taking your time to make sure it gets done safely. Also, I just love how you respect the people around you if they don't want their face to be on the video you put something over their face. Also, I love you can joke around on the job/call and it doesn't stop you from doing what you love to do. One more thing I love how well you, the police department's , the sheriff department, the fire department's, and the State Highway Partol all work together to get the job done safely. So thank you again for the amazing video, well done and safe. PEOPLE NEED TO SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER for people that is in this line of work. So you SHOULDN'T have to have to have any of these things to safe on the side of the road, no matter if there is a vehicle blocking, a police officer is on the job/call that is on the side if the road, you having your red and blue lights on, and you having to set up cones up.
Ron your so good you get these harder tows good luck and God Bless
lol i love that the fire/emt told you it a was a bullitt as well, because you know he informed everyone on the scene and the passerbys that he buck shot his lil bullit.
