Whats up guys in this one we are upgrading the stock 70mm throttle body to a hitachi 75mm throttle body similar to the NWP kit sold on there web site.

I used to be just like you guys.. spending hundreds to thousands on power gains of 10-15HP... It wasn't until I realized my love for cars and modification was being wasted because I was buying the wrong cars. Yeah, the G35 is fun. I have one. But don't mod it. Unless you have forced induction, you are wasting your money. It took buying a corvette to realize what real power was. And it finally led me into a new world of car where the same amounts of money on a G35 that would get me 8 HP would produce 80. Did you guys know a simple tune on a BMW 335i or Audi S4 can boost you over 100 WHEEL horsepower? All that money I wasted. may it rest in peace. Just save it, and buy a car that appreciates modifications.
AFunnyGuy87 I agree, I own a G35 and yeah VQs aren't mod friendly, tho from factory they are decent engines for sure. The last engine mod I want is a 75.m throttle body, thats it. And work on exhaust work and lightweight rins.
Ofc...because a 335i is twin turbo...a tune wakes that car up easily. But not all of us are stupid. A NA VQ can make 400whp Na but with stupid intakes you won't get there. Know how an engine works and these vqs make big power. Nissan over engineers. Chevy underengineers so power is left on the table. This shows the guys at nissan know what they're doing and chevy engineers are useless. Big ass engines for such little NA power. Bmw, well thats turbo charged so it will make power and bmw underates their engine. Their cars make more power than advertised.
Back to VQs. Theres g35 and 350zs making 400whp on NA power. This is way above the 100whp per liter mark. All of them are running aggressive cams and itb. So know wtf your doing and how engines work and these cars make big power
Okibe Mwege Bwoi they are mod friendly. Just know how an engine works and use your money wisely.

I wished I knew this was possible other than the $400 NWP kit. I just replaced the TB on my G a few days ago with a OEM Hitachi, FML.
1) never spread rtv with your fingers. put it on directly.
2) never re-use gaskets. always buy new gaskets. but metal gaskets can be re-used, if in good condition.
Sry to tell u but that whopping extra 5mm isn't gonna do anything really. The plenum spacer and a cat back are the best besides F/I
wouldnt it have been easier to just use a tb gasket for what the tb came from instead of silicone?

I think you should do a Dyno just to see how much your mods have gained for you (I know you prob don't wanna take off everything and put stock back on but to get truest gains that would be the way) but even if you dumped as is and gave a number I know I'd Be interested atleast .
How do you know if you have to do a throttle body relearn? I removed mine and im not sure if i pushed the butter fly valve with my finger. And could you reset it by just removing the neg battery cable and holding it to a piece of metal to reset computer or do you have to do it with the pedal?

U should never be using fucking gasket sealer bullshit on any vehicle besides lawn mower engines and weed wackers
Happy Helperton black rtv is more for oil sealing, they make different rtv for different things

New tb should of had its own gasket. Relearn takes about 4min to do.
Wondering why you replaced the dirty K&N air filter when they are designed to be washed, re-oiled, and reinstalled?
Ryan Yantzer it takes a while for the filter to dry once it's washed so I have two so I can just change it and wash it at my leisure

Hell yeah dude I've been looking for some help everyone I know has mustangs and camaros and they normally just do like bolt ons then their cam and shit but I didn't wanna do my cam yet I was trying to figure out the other shit to do like the plenum spacer but I'm curious because I have a 350z and I want the 1/2 spacer but you can't fit the cover or the sway bar on after is it worth the 1/2 or should I justger the 5/8

sup donsquale, quick question would you say the throttle body was a good investment after having for about a week and being able to test your ride at the track.
yea I'd say it was worth it. had I had to pay full price new for it I may not feel the same but for the money I paid I noticed quite a difference
DONSQUALE how? I really would like to know! All the tb does is regulate air intake relative to thottle demand! Your engine is only n/a. No supercharger or turbo!? Maybe if you had more aggresive cams installed. Remember no matter what you slap on, its still monitored and controlled by the ecm!
