@@RoadandReel been good man! Doing well, just got back from camping with the fam in Big Sur, I have fished it the other way.. I walked the owens so far I got the the outlet of Hot creek.. just kept fishing up and up and then I was super far from my truck. The walk back was like 2.5 hours in 3 feet of snow, not fun.. but I have been down where they meet. Love all your content JP! And I hooked up on a big bass at lake Casitis near Ojai on one of those worm flies you sent out a while back. Good stuff man!
Hot creek is one of my favorite early morning/on the way back home from BIshop spots. Saw a short from a FB channel that showed the flows are really high in the O at the moment, but I think that’s below pleasant valley. When were you fishing? Nice video!
Yeah below Pleasant Valley is really high, but the Upper was almost perfect. This was during Memorial weekend so that's why there were so many people there, but I only saw two other people on Hot Creek. When we were hiking out I saw a guide coming in with a couple of clients, but that was it. I'm surprised there weren't more people there. I ended up catching about a dozen or so, but many were little guys that I didn't put in the video. I love this entire area and it is definitely one of my favorites. I'm heading to Lassen this week and I hope to have another video for that area, but I've never been there before, so it's going to be a. If learning experience.
Looks like fun up there, my favorite spot.. but when I go it’s covered in snow.. cheers
It's such a great place. Have you ever fished it down to the Owens? I've been meaning to do that and haven't. It's been a while, how have you been?

Thanks! You should definitely give it a try when you get a chance. In the next month or so, it'll be all top water action and hoppers.
