You know what first caught my attention. You didn't wear all the fishing garb, boots, vest, boxes of fly's, etc, etc, etc. You get the point. You kept it simple. Pants, shirt, fly rod and net. You still caught tons of great trout. You were like young boys out there just having fun and not competing with getting the larger trout. Keep it fun, one fly fisherman to another. Tight lines. Your youth and energy to hike such distances is incredible.
Dang I had a great time just watching you guys fish and its great to help people in need I do it all the time even if it takes time away from fishing thank you
Great video... perfect stream and weather conditions. Caught my first (and biggest) bull on a prime upper Idaho stream (pre-Covid). Love the big Cutts as a bonus! Keep the videos coming.
Love the videos guys, damn good stuff! I also love how much more careful you’re being with showing where you are. You know how special these spots are, good on you 👍🏼
We keep these spots secret to preserve their beauty, but we still showcase how amazing fly fishing is and the incredible experiences waiting out there for those who seek them.
What a beautiful location with absolutely stunning Trout, they really are in phenomenal shape and condition, you guys are so lucky, I live in SCOTLAND 🏴 and we have great fishing too, great content guys 🔥🔥👌🏽🎣
You do a good job of not name dropping places. I fish the same places you have uploaded and have been fishing them for years. They are awesome fisheries, but they already get enough pressure. It could be a slippery slope if word gets out where these places are, especially with people getting very close to name dropping in the comments. Im not trying to throw shade, youre videos are awesome, just saying it can be a very slippery slope.
I keep a close eye on the comments to ensure no one name drops locations (though it rarely happens). I completely agree and understand- I don’t share the state or specific spots in my videos. I just want to show how cool fly fishing can be; it’s up to you to discover your own favorite places.
Would love to see a video on your equipment or a run down of it in your videos! New subscriber! Keep up the great work! Looking to get myself a streamer setup as well! 🙌🏽
I'm liking the video! Ha! First time catching your channel. Just subbed. North of Albany NY here, just got into Vermont this past weekend to target some brook trout.
Such beautiful fish but now, I think you are just rubbing it in. LOL! I wish I was up there now. Due to circumstances I cant get to the Idaho Backcountry for another two weeks. I'm hoping there are still a few Bulls around.
Did a 3 weeks trip last summer in Alberta. Was hoping to get some bulltrouts... No luck😢 But lots of cutties! Next year!!! Taking a month! Hope to get lucky! Keep up your great videos!!!!❣️
Great job on the videos. I’m not asking about your exact location but what state are you fishing in? Also you made a comment about your 5x tippet being the strongest. I’ve had some issue with 5x and 6x floral carbon do you have a recommendation on Tippet material that you prefer and that you consider stronger than other tippet material that’s on the market. Thanks I enjoy watching you young men enjoy fly fishing
Well if it's Washington or Oregon, it's gotta be the East side! The terrain looks more like Idaho to me, and if it is there are a ton of places that look exactly like this...They can all be great fishing! So even if he told you the state, you'd have Alot of places to try! 😅
Was this a recent trip? I want to plan a fishing trip like this but don’t know the best time to go. It’s a little different from fishing Louisiana where I am 😂
@@FireflyFishing awesome thanks for the info. Want to bring my son and maybe a few others. Just found you on UA-cam and Instagram. That video was great.
Great video. Question. Do you pause on dry fly hooksets, and if so, how long? We have a decent tailwater trout fishery north of Atlanta, with stocked rainbows and wild browns, and i really want to improve my dry fly skills. I am a very good fly caster, and can induce rises and hits, but i miss too many sets. I think there are two issues for me. 1. The correct pause 2. The direction of my set Any tips would be appreciated!
Give a one Mississippi in your head before setting the hook! If you are feeding the line downstream and get an eat, just slowly lift your rod as if you’re setting the hook like you’re swinging a softhackle.
Hey, seven bull or two bull trout is still a good day I was out last week flyfishing at a very far 2 Hour Dr. and altogether I caught 23 trouts some rainbows and some cutthroat
Got out too early this year for the bulls... June. But caught enormous sums of cuttys during that time. I'd love to know more about how and where you hunt those bulls. It's a dream of mine!

If you wanna chat h some truest “huge” cuttys go to grebe lake it’s insane every cast your catching these like 20 inch west slope cutttys and even the occasional Little grayling but if you hike to ice lake there are some pretty giant grayling around 14-16 inches
Not all too Informed but bull trout are extremely endangered no? Wouldn't it be smart to not target these fish despite the area or it's regulations? Still an awesome video. I just care a lot about our trout... lmao
You’re legally allowed to target them, where I was fishing. They are my favorite trout to target and I stop going after them this time of year to make sure to avoid the spawn! 🙌
Technically there's no such thing as a "Bull Trout". They are Dolly Varden Char and far from endangered. It's only arrogant humans who put fake labels on things and call it rare. Every one should take a moment to check your facts before making comments that are baseless. Don't let my UA-cam persona fool you because in real life I am an Ecologist and am one of the people who gets to name things.
Dudes. Selling out a fishery for likes and views ain’t a good strategy in the long run. 90% of comments are positive, because guys are learning when and where to go. I for one found the hole on video you took down (bulls on dries) and will probably be hitting that before you get there next year since those fish were definitely educated. That times 100x isn’t a good thing…

What size fly rod line, tipped?😊
I’m using an 8wt, cortland sink tip line, and 0x tippet

Cortland is the absolute best! Highly recommend using there tippet, haven’t found anything better!
