When are you going to make the final review? How the removable straps comfort-wise? How many external water bottle pockets are there? Are there actually 2 of them now?
@@jtinseoul7041 Rad, looking forward to it! I’ve been shopping around to see if anything ticks enough boxes to replace my Synapse 25 and so far this might be the closest. Those compression straps look a tad annoying though. I wish they were removable. Also the change to the shoulder straps is a bit strange, so hopefully it doesn’t affect comfort when wearing it.
So far, the straps have been better than expected. The compression straps, were annoying because the g-hooks were hard to use. But I upgraded them for fidlocks (super easy) and they are great.
@@jtinseoul7041 Any update on using this thing? I've been leaning toward Aer's Tech Pack 2, but am waiting to hear your thoughts on this pack before doing anything.
I loved my Anniversary Edition, but after the strap failed on me with a quarter-loaded bag and then they moved to these "swappable" straps, I can't get on board with them anymore. It's one thing to continually improve your product for the user, but when you make changes the user foots the bill for just so it's easier to fix it when it inevitably fails, that's not a user-centric philosophy and a CYA move. Get rid of the hot-swappable straps, put load lifters back, bolster your stitching so straps don't fail (who's straps fail at this rate these days?), put a zipper garage for that front pocket (no amount of aquaguard or dyneema is going to fix that gap left by the zipper at the top). Put the user first, not your repair department.
I've had four of these. My wife has absolutely thrashed her Dyneema one and never had an issue. Is it something you've heard about a lot? So far, the new straps actually aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. They are pretty good. Aside from the lack of load lifters, which as a short guy I definitely appreciate. The only change I really strongly dislike are the g-hooks. The style used are hard to fasten and unfasten. Changed them for fidlocks and it definitely improves the user experience.
Torn between this and the Black Ember Citadel R2 for my next EDC. I carry a 13 in laptop and 12.9 IPad Pro and portable stands for each. Along with other cords and accessories. Any thoughts?
Those side buckles look like they'd infuriate me if I had to work on them in the morning. Would prefer it if they used the "squeeze"-style of buckles instead. But that's my feeble fingers talking (damn wear n' tear)
I’ve watched every video you have on this bag in the past 48 hours and then you uploaded this today! What a treat. Cheers!
haha, I should get that first impressions done quickly then!

Bag looks awesome. That ballistic nylon looks rad. Congrats on the new bag and can't wait for a review!
Coming sooooon ish!
Looks good and super ballistic! And they ship the bag...in a bag...in box? Nice!
Gotta love a bag inside a bag inside a box ;)
Whoah, was just looking into this pack again earlier today. Nice!
haha, hopefully first impressions in the next week or so.

Have you taken a look at the Dsptch Ruckpack (new version)? Curious to see how it compares to this one?

Very nice! I have the white rnd and it's been great.
As you know, you and my wife have similar tastes ;P
What happened to the load lifters ?
any opinions on the new dsptch totes
Thanks JT!
I have been looking into this bag for about a week it would be my first one. Which would you recommend the one before this (day pack 1.0) or this one?
If you dig the bottle pockets, this one. If you don't care about them at all, the V1 is great!
Did it ship from the US? How long did it take to arrive?
Yep, they are made and ship from the USA. Took less than a week.
Cool. I feel like every bag should be offered in multicam black in 2022.
ha, can't disagree.

Luckily fidlocks are super easy to add here. Took a couple of minutes.
@@jtinseoul7041 I hate these new sides on my dyneema. Care to share how you add fidlock? what size do you use for this?
I made a video about adding them to bags recently. I think it's about a month ago in my feed! Same process for this.
