I beat the game when I was eight with a broken keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Jokes aside, well said with the rundown man, you're on point with the observation of environmental storytelling. FPS before HL just didn't have it. Also, so glad you didn't play HL:S (we don't talk about HL:S). I think retro reviews might be a good series for some content you can keep up with, enjoyed the vid and keep it up!
I'd argue the original DOOM and Quake were more influential (since, DOOM is basically the granddaddy of the genre, and bits quake's source code can be still found all around first person shooters, INCLUDING Half-Life) but, Half-Life was definetely a big hit on the gaming industry. Great video.
