I would gladly 3d print entire set of keycaps because i can make set specificaly made some uses. Keycaps you can buy are good but manufacturers do not offer enough options to customize them or if they do they charge obscene amounts of money for it. I know pbt keycaps are most durable but if i had 3d printer i would 3d print them and if they break i'd reprint them again and just extrude broken or worn out caps into filament using extruder, For nice and smooth fdm print of keycaps petg seems like a good option.
25hrs of printing - how much does this affect the electric bill?
Piracy is the best
Not everyone has super high speed internet lol, it takes hours and hours to download something and I'm paying $70 a month for this crappy internet.
What screwdriver did you use to open the mouse?
@@Saidcop an iFixit tool kit, it includes a metal screwdriver. It's really nice if u work on electronics alot
Your 3D printer my guy needs cleaning and the key caps are garbage. it was a good try.
@hisway86 I've tried to wash the glass bed with hot water with soap and isopropyl alcohol, most likely will try a new bed soon.
I swear my mouse fixed it self while watching this. The scroll lock button was broken lol
Physical games you can swap out or resell but not digital games.
I cleaned my G502 and now the bottom of it, a small part of it is basically rubbing against my desk and it makes some noise and it is not smooth. How do I fix it? The part that is rubbing against the desk is the small black triangle at the upper-middle part of the mouse, above the hexagon.
@malwareshop most likely the adhesive didn't come off cleanly, I'd recommend buying new Skate pads. Happened to me too
@@S7Vision I did not remove the adhesive. It's starting to become more smoother the more I move it around.
Nice review! 👍
If you're going to print keycaps then do it with a resin printer. I already tried with fdm and I needed to do a lot of postprocessing to get rid of the print lines while the ones I printed in resin just needed some sun exposure and filing on where I removed the supports and they were ready to be used.
Hi 👋
Always knew but it hit yesterday don't feel like buying games anymore
Sony has officially started nailing the console coffin. Microsoft already jumped ship, and the switch isn't even considered a console. Thank God that last of this trash is finally dieing
Great video. Honestly, this is my take as well. I personally just get everything digitally as it is incredibly convenient this point. My house could burn down and worst case, in the gaming side, I need to buy a new PS5. Not all of my games. I appreciate other's viewpoints as well, which you also touch on in the video. Trading was huge back in the day. You finish a game and hand it off to a friend which was pretty neat. That being said, there are ways around this in the PC work with sharing your steam library, and even ways to loophole sharing games within Xbox (haven't looking into a way to do this with PS5). Collectibles are nice as well, but at this point I just order a figurine or a poster to show how much I enjoy the game. All that said, it's nice they came up with an external option for a disc drive for those who prefer to buy the physical media. I do feel those who enjoy collecting those discs are becoming a minority however. Again, great video, I look forward to the next one and keep up the good work!
Didn't steam come out with a statement saying you only bought a license when you buy a game on there 😅physical doesn't look so bad now right??
The entire strength of console was to have physical copies of games. No physical copies of games on console means you're better off building a PC and running steam.
I think a lot of people are really missing the point of what this video is trying to say. Physical copies as they have existed for the majority of gaming do not exist on the current generation of consoles no the previous generation of consoles just because you own a physical disc does not mean that you own the game. Most games do not have a version of the game on that disc that is above 1.0 so it is completely useless from the game preservation standpoint. The only plus of physical in the modern era is to be able to sell and trade your games as well as buy games for cheaper prices outside of that though you are literally getting a coaster that is a license for your digital game. And once the servo shut down for these consoles, it’s not gonna matter whether or not you have a disc or not. Cost is the reason to go digital. Even the argument people with poor internet access benefiting from physical is shaky at best. When the patch file is bigger than what’s on the disc again you’ve effectively have yourself a paper weight. Digital is the future but not how it is on consoles. A closed system is the actual problem. The open system of the pc space proves yes there are ways around this but companies are going to have to make a ton of changes and give up control. I’d like to live in a future where I can burn my own digital copy of a game to a disc and just own it like that. Will it happen probably not but I can dream.
we should have both physical and digital. Physical for collecting/display, and digital for playing. I buy a digital game, I play it till I am done, then I uninstall it and move on. I don't need it any more. I got my money's worth and I don't care if they "delist" it, because I won't play it again. Not something you need to worry about for live service games if that's your thing. Not something you need to worry about if you are going to play old games because you'll know if the game is still available or not before you buy it. This whole 'controversy' is really just ridiculous and unnecessary. To each their own.
Disliked and left. How’s it feel it to be a bozo?
just to let you know that game pass is single-handedly destroying the game Market. J FYI hence why game developers are moving away from Microsoft and going towards PlayStationyou can't make money on the socialismand that's what game pass isit's subsidizing the work of the Developersso that us the gamers can have access to free games for a small nominal fee but in actuality it's destroying the game Market
Disc drive matters to me. I have a huge collection of physical games and most are fully playable from the disc. If you prefer physical buy the optional disc drive!!! Gamepass sucks!!!!!!!!!
The videogame industry is phasing out physical media just like the music industry.
The biggest issue to me is when a game gets delisted, hence if you didn't already purchase a digital copy, without a disc drive you'd have no way of accessing the game after it's delisted. Take LittleBigPlanet 3, for instance, which is scheduled to get delisted by the end of the month.
I don't own any digital copies for my xbox so if I do I cant store the full game in my HD and play off line?
Most of my games have been digital since the start of the PS5, I only buy a physical copy for games I want to display but I rarely do that now. I don't think physical games should ever go away though, There should always be that option for everyone.
It's important to have a disc drive on the PlayStation side if you value money. Sony does not allow 3rd parties to sell digital games, which means you are at the mercy of Sony to discount games. Physicals always go cheaper faster
If game companies were intelligent they would sell digital game for $50/$60/$70 then have the ability for people to buy a physical disk version for an additional $20. So you have to buy the digital to beable to buy the $20 extra disc but I guess they don't like extra money. I'd also sell the disc drives as well
I don't know where you are going with this? You say you are a physical guy when it comes to collecting stuff and you complain that you can't find some old games on the digital market anymore. Yet you say go digital, when steam literally updated their store so you get a notification, that you only buy a license of the game and not the game itself, which ads to the problem you are complaining. As far as I know ( I haven't done it myself, but I could image that it works that way based on my experience) you can keep your PS5 offline, plug in every singleplayer (not multiplayer since you NEED an internet connection for theat obviously) on disc you want, install and play it totally offline. The game gets copied from the Disc to your NVME and then you need the disc for running it. So you are spreading misinformation by saying the disc only has few MB for the license and burn/clone protection. And it is half true that the game won't install quicker. Technically yes you are right, but the second someone has a bad internet connection and needs to download the whole game and not only the day one patch you are wrong. That is btw the definition of owning the game or at least a copy of it. When you buy digital you are getting a licens which could mean you can lose that licens and the game due to whatever reason the company tells you. You don't need a day one patch in most cases or ideally speaking and if you do you can go online for the update and play offline again. I can borrow the game to my friends, I can resell it, i can buy it second hand for cheap. All stuff I can't do with digital. If I can't resell it or lend to someone I don't really own it in the first place, which came to my mind really early without steam now telling me directly. The 80 dollar for the disc drive is also not the problem. Could be lower yes, but I think it is still reasonable and could go down over time maybe. If you think this way, if you are a casual couch gamer and want to watch movies on blu ray you totally go for the PS5 alone. Frequent updates, smooth OS etc. And for movies it goes the same way as for games. If nobody streams it right now you need to buy it (again). The digital way is not bad either. It has it's pros too. With a decent internet connection you can play the game whenever you want in the next hour or so. There are sometimes sales (steam), you can't damage/destroy the game physically, you don't need space for the physical copy if you mind that. Adding to that you do not have to get up your lazy ass from the couch to pop in another disc. But that problem sounds very american :D So why not keep both ways? Most people will probably buy the cheaper one aka the one without disc drive. And if they are running into problems with that or want to start collection and/or owning games, they can simply upgrade. I would even argue having the option to upgrade the system by yourself is better than having to choose between two options and sticking with the one you choose, IF the pricing is reasonable in the first place. Every game I play on PS5 I own a disc copy of it, but every game I play on my PC is digital on my steam library. By keeping both ways the costumer wins!
Games dont run off the discs, however the majority of games install OFF of the disc. There are exceptions, mainly with online only games, but the majority of games actually do have a playable 1.00 version printed on the disc to this day. I beat Astro Bot completely on 1.00 version. So you do still own physical games. And its why i will always prefer physical media. If consoles go all digital, then console gaming becomes obsolete to me
Same for me. If it goes all digital I’m out too. Bad enough the new COD makes you keep online connection to play any part of the game leading to a possible coaster later. Disc should be the main media choice for games.
Youre wrong abouy a few points. Its only since the ps5 gen that the disc doesnt have the content. All game content is on the ps4 discs. It does install faster from disc vs digital and you dont need internet to access them. Another glaring issue youre not touching on is offline gaming oenaingle player gaming. Unless youre confident youll always have internet, a diac drive is needed, especially if you live anywhere rural.
I will ALWAYS buy physical over digital. You talk about a $70 game having a trade in value of $30, but you don’t consider the poorer kids out there on a budget that go and buy that $30 game over having to pay for a $70 version… Look at older games that you can pick up on sale or pre-owned for $10 that are still $50 on the digital store… THAT is why I will always go with a disc drive! 👌
yeah but when gamestop takes your $70 game and gives you $30 they are gonna sell it for $65 in those cases when it's a newer game so I don't think 5 bucks off is really helping us poorer kids
im happy with retro games. Modern "you will own nothing and be happy" culture completely sucks.
I do need 1 if I want to play my games since most are on disc.
I dont care what you say all my games are backed up on ssd. They all still work and I own them, sony cant do a damn thing to my games.I definatly own my digital games.
a french letter would have prevented this video
Another stupid person thinking they know what they're talking about. Also using gamestop, and a sports game as a metric of what new games can be worth lol
You know you can sell the disc game again, don't you? That you can buy a second hand disc game, or you can let your friend borrow the disc game... You'll never sell the digital games back... And if you don't trust people on FB Marketplace or whatever, there are stores that sell old games, and buy out old games. Come on...
I actually mentioned this exact thing at 2:22 but I have another scenario. Visiting my girlfriends, her nephew only knows Fortnite. I log into watching! console with my profile and he has been playing Skate 3, Dark Souls 2 and we even played some 1v1 mw2 on Rust split screen. Didn't need to plan out bringing old disks hoping they would work. I do love buying old games too! Rebought Sly3 and Midnight club 3 dub remix edition for my ps2. Love my digital collection I can look at easily anywhere. But that's my opinion, thanks for watchin!
Agreed, it's sad that i can't sell a game if it's digital. So it's a waste of money if i decided i didn't like a game, after buying it, for whatever reason or can't trade games with friends/family which I used to do often on the ps1 and 2, back in the days before the internet 😭
Paying almost $1000 ps5 pro in UK BYE .
$1000, that's cheap if you are desperate to get 1 they are several thousands on Ebay since the scalpers took all the pre-orders.

Nah, still matters. Sorry
It matters if you already have a collection of discs 🤦♂️
It matters for old games, but since 2016 or so,my case Rise of Tomb Raider PC,the dvd or disc, depends what you call it,bought from a gamestore, had steam client on it and a cd key on it(printed on disc label),as for console games,it's the same, since 2016 or so,there is a basic install on the bluray but without internet is not full install also not day one(edition/patch) more like a beta kit installer is on the discs. So,discs don't matter anymore,PC is full Digital,Consoles head the same way. Sad,but if they reduce the price of a digital only game, broken at launch as most games, later to be patched(6 months/1 year) in half, instead 70€ to be 30€ or even 20,as we don't own then anymore...is going to be fine.
@@alexandrugabriel3839this is 100% misinformation. Been debunked.
I agree 100%
I want to do this but with double extruder and transparent filament for the rgb.
I've done this and the results are great. I didn't have to do much sanding either, only doing so if there are sharp edges. I used the cheapest no-name brand PLA I could find aswell. Printers nowadays are pretty fast. A single keycap would print at 5 minutes. I used an Ender 3 v3 KE to do mine. Made layer lines partially invisible by using fuzzy edges. Afterwhich, I sprayed it with a primer, no sanding. Once dry, sprayed it with whatever color I wanted. Afterwhich, I used waterslide decals to place the the text. Sprayed with a matte top coat to keep the decals in place. All done within two days.
would definitely recommend cleaning the bed before printing especially if you haven't printed in months.
Do you think I could 3D Print a laptop keyboard keycap? I have 1 missing keycap but since my laptop is old, I unfortunately cannot easily find a replacement. So, I was hoping to 3D Print one instead.
@jikuzo Hey! I looked it up by searching "laptop key sissor 3d print" followed by model. Laptop switches use sissor hinges to work. Hopefully the plastic tab holding the hinge also isn't broken. If it is, prob would need to replace entire keyboard. I'd look into warranty too.
@@S7Vision Thanks for the info! I'll try and check.
Do you still have the file? could you send me?
Bambu Labs should hit u up
I lament the idea that you forgot to do these prints with ironing on, it could have made the finish look a lot better whilst saving a lot of sandpaper in the process.
@@freepics1400 learned after! Still learning... 😅
