Henry, I found out i was a punk rocker in 1984 and my 1st love was tv party. You haven't changed a bit other than becoming wiser and better looking; now you're an inspiration to many generations and I'm so proud of you! My parents prayed for my soul every time i blasted my Black Flag and i laughed and told them to pray for themselves to be 1/2 as godly as the punks and the metalheads! I love ya man, thanks for everything. Especially "He Never Died" awesome

Rollins Band music really helps me through my life. This song...every time something I had with other people...a romantic relationship, a professional one...a friendship...whatever...I feel like I can't take it. I sense how off the relationship is and I know...it's the end...of something. You don't really hear much of that feeling in music. But this is right on point. It's like the crux of a life moment.
Thx, you wrote what I wanted to write in comment, right now, I just lost a very good friend in an accident, he`s not dead but very injured, and I know that the END of SOMETHING, we had all the 40 years before...he is gone into a wheelchair or so, and so also my life changed into something different now, maybe I am all ALONE....Aleinikov
Doctor said "Take this Rollins, it'll settle your brain." Doctor said "Take this Rollins, it'll settle the bill." Doctor said "Take this Rollins, it'll settle the score."
I love the Skeleton showing saying that there's no time to prepare for too long to go out and explore the world anew; inspired by our heroes(The Indian/Cowboy). Thank you Henry.
I remember watching this video on I think 120 Minutes. Before the video he talked about why he put his name before the band. How he was grateful to the guys in the band . He said how those guys were the true musicians. How he wasn't a musician and didn't know a note from a chord but when there was criticism of the band it wasn't going to be the drummer who was talked about but Rollins, himself. I just liked that he acknowledged how much he owed to the guys in the band.
We can play with our own creations (The scientists/ the puppet/ the cowboy and the Indian) as a means to avoid going out from ourselves after suffering a traumatic experience. We can stay there ( The house/lab) exploring our inner creations. Or we can Touch our Fear.......Thank you Henry but that is just a beautiful idea, for now.
Henry got me into weight training. i got my son into weight training. This might not matter to anyone but every day, some how, there is a Rollins lyric floating around in my head that somehow, someway makes me want to be a better person.
This song helped me several times when something in my life ended and I was scared to move on. One of those times was today where I had to break up with a depressive friend who tried to drown us both in sorrow and I couldn't keep us both afloat. So I let go of him and he has to make it on his own now. But what I still don't get is what the music video has to do with the lyrics of the song.
2019. Its It's the end of good music. It's like they weren't even trying and they're were 10× better than anything coming out today. I thought having a son ( now 20) I'd learn new good music. But no, he listens to the same great stuff I did, and still do. It's great running into bands like these again. So many memories get tied to music I was listening to at the time. So it's like reliving 2 great things at the same time. In definitely not going to stop this time. Henry Rollins is like a poet on steroids. I'd love to go to one of his lectures.
Great instrumental guitar, Didn't remember that song. That's a band that keeps true to it's own beliefs, use the bass, the guitar, use the instrumental to give ambiance, to give much better quality to the song. gets synergy with the vocals, don't rely only on it. The result is a real song.
Crawling around on shelves, it’s just the cold end and it was all on me. My flesh is tight on across my Bones and I know, don’t be afraid. Touch your fear
I think the guys in the lab were conducting an experiment to create the manliest dude ever to walk the Earth. The experiment was a rousing success. They named the subject "Henry Rollins".

Acum am încredere în Satan,El este numit un mare mincinos, dar aici este doar pentru ironie,El este cel adevărat.M-a ajutat de fiecare dată când am apelat la El chiar dacă m-am îndoit uneori.
Got really really really lucky when I was a kid and saw Rollins band on the gum and burn tour. He is really proud of the fact that this song is based on something by Ernest Hemingway, they should have won all the awards for that album and this video is one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of music videos and that is a fact and it will remain a fact forever because this video will always remain an unsung milestone in entertainment, as Mr Henry himself is to some degree. @joey1970: WELCOME!!
CATCH UP!!!
Welcome ....u have great taste
I'm on it too buddy. Rollins is the best therapist that I ever had.
I was listening to them in 90s but only about three music videos where available in my country, and now I discover that there were more than three. :D
so good to hear that.
27 years since I bought this record and never knew about this video until today, I love it!
still just as good today as it was in the 90s
I love that UA-cam is honest and doesn’t report that the songs were uploaded 24 years ago
Oh fuck yeah. Peak Rollins. I could listen to this all day.

And when the garbage piles up past my knees, and the rats are running free

Touch your fear, don't be afraid

The tears from your eyes that you cried have dried
And theres nothing left to say
And when you see that the time we spent together meant nothing
And you couldn't make me stay
Remember me, and my eyes, and how they saw you
Remember me, and my voice, and what I said

Rollins fuckin' rocks as always. His music is the everyday survival for me.

Céline Lucien amen to that!

That is a shame, but at least I can listen to them on UA-cam
Ajikanfan65: Ill comment whenever the fuck I want, like I care what some fake ass pretty boy from Tajikisshitstan thinks
Jaret Wood cuz he speaks truth about life
but rollins band is not even close to metal? They're punk?
I'd say he tends to bend some genres, Disconnect or Liar is more grunge than anything else...Anyway, Maynard gave quite awesome perfomances too
One of my all-time favorites
Man, this song is absolute kickass !!!!! Rollins is king!
Remains one of my fave Rollins band songs, ever. In 2019
About 2,000 of these views are mine.
