TheDragon803 Very funny and even though I'm a Rollin's fan (as I believe you are), I think Henry would get a chuckle. Be serious with life, but not so much you can't laugh at yourself once in a while. I do it daily. Maybe that says something about me. Anyway...

For all the Rollins haters, this guy has humility and intelligence, sings and writes with passion and is very observant of people and society, one of the true punk rockers of my generation, so fucking what if you don't agree with his attitudes and opinions, they're his and he doesn't pretend otherwise, if you don't like it get out there and voice your own opinions, keep free speech alive

I walked green miles of jungle
I walked through yellow miles of pain
    I crossed starvation's desert
Watched dead river swell with rain
The song of insects fill the air
    Nights in cities of despair
Where killer's sons said , son beware
And all the roads from here to there
I sailed the sea of desolation
    Dropped my anchor there
    Plumbed the depths of isolation
Walked its length and was not scared
Went from end to end to end
And then from there I went again
The road that only this one knows
Off to nowhere there I go
    Illumination comes so hard
Makes me see but leaves its scars
At times I wish that I didn't know what I know now
Thought and thought until I lost my mind
Looked and looked until I went near blind
The path is fair but so unkind
    Illumination
At night the highway's diesel roar
Speaks to me and tells me more
Than any book I've ever read
    Or anything you ever said
    With silent eyes inside
I watch myself and worlds collide
The seasons burn and crack my skin
I stay outside and live within

But when i discovered Henry Rollins and his band i couldnt do otherwise. He is truly the only one who provokes me go and hunt the meaning of each song's lyrics. Inspirational, Straight, Clean and Honest are his words and probably the only artist i ever gave that much respect. No matter how his voice sounds like, nor how the guitars rock, nowhere will you find so deep a meaning.

You're absolutely correct. I've sent him three separate e-mails and he responded to each. Heck, on one of them he even sent me the song lyrics I asked for (because the ones on all the lyrics sites are wrong). Others just talk the talk, but Henry walks the walk when it comes to being available to his fans.

I live in Central Florida outside Gainesville Florida I was coming out of a gas station and saw a jeep pull up to the pumps and there behold was Henry Rollins my idol I just stood there with my jaw gaped open and I 👋 he waves back im thinking what is he doing in my shit hole town I was shocked I couldn't walk up I felt like he probably was out here for personal space..

Great song. Been a fan of New Model Army for decades. Hadn't t listened to this fella in years. I live anyone sings and means every word. Justin Sullivan or Henry Rollins...it sin t a fashion or a trend...it s from the heart. It s the only way to make art.

You just made my point for me. Anselmo is just an image, a stage personality. Rollins spends his life seeking out things most of us would wet ourselves over.
It's like trying to compare the craziness of Alice Cooper to the likes of Burzum, Mayhem and Emperor. He did a stage act, they burned down churches.

Even so, corporations and individuals are being taxed and regulated into oblivion. So, I am grateful that a website exists like this for free. It is pretty amazing and the only way it is possible is through a free-market capitalist economy. Please vote for politicians who will de-regulate, who will lower and possibly completely remove all taxes, and who will lower and possibly remove all minimum wages. Peace.

A lot of people were put off by the Mother Superior lineup, because the original Rollins Band crew was massively talented and creative. But I thought Henry blended better with a less progressive, more hard driving blues-rooted rock band. He seemed to have more fun with it, too.
