Thanks much for you’re video I was about to pay £55 for Halfords to fit my camera. But this video has saved me time and money and I also enjoyed fitting it all out myself. Wishing you all the best ! 🙏🏿👌🏿
Great tutorial, thx for the tips about the cable tie (preventing cable slippage, previously experinced) and info about the ferrite collar. This was so helpful... full marks.
fantastic video a great help, a quick question i have a sentry dashcam that needs to be permanently live once the car is switched off, what would you suggest i piggy back the live and the neutral dashcam to please. thank you
did you have to take the glove box out or is there room to access the fuse? ive read some guides where they seem to disassemble the entire dashboard which doesnt seem necessary to me!
thank you sir have 17 plate clio in need of a front and rear cam so will give this a go will have to find a feed for rear wiring but shouldn't be too hard
Thanks, tho ended up having to take glove box out as you can't get to the fuses properly. Fuse jumper doesn't fit correctly and had to remove a little of the plastic webbing around the fuse holder so the jumper seats correctly. More of a mission than expected 🙄
Renault are miserly, the LHD Zoe has a nice normal glove box, you can even put books in it, the RHD glovebox is a joke , just because they left the fuse block in the LHD position.

As simple as that 👏 need to order a fuse tap is it micro or mini? Cars not to hand 😁
Mini on the UK version.
Would this process be quite similar if I was to install a dash cam into my Renault Captur?
Yes all the basics are the same, just take your time and take extra care with the roof liner.
Process was exactly the same on my Renault Clio IV. I used a flat ruler to open the side of the fuse box.

Just drive on the left for christ sake 🤣, you guys had to be special didn't you !?
