with the teabag gadget thing, you pull the handle up to open it and we find it so useful. we keep it with a little bowl by the kettle for tea bags so we don't have to make the arduous metre journey across the kitchen to the bin each time we have a mug of tea.
Easy. A base of potatoes (more nutrients) or rice (cheaper), some sauce for flavour and more nutrients, done. A whole meal for under 25 cents. Feel free to spend the other 97% of your gigantic budget on vegetables, meat or other niceties, or use it to survive the rest of the week. Peanut butter is a great source of nutrients, too. It's quite expensive in comparison to other options, but combined with some inexpensive or even homemade bread you still get several meals out of one jar - and you can get more than one set of these for that much money.
+insanemole You're American aren't you? Thinking of buying in bulk, with large jars of peanut butter? Very different here in the UK - many want to eat nutritiously with a variety of foods / flavours / textures. Studying at Uni, with the work they get - can be exhausting. It varies from student to student, & not all will have time to stand & make homemade bread. It's also, for the majority at least, their first time away from home - learning to budget, juggling work, trying not to be too much of a hermit & socialising when possible, paying bills, keeping in touch with family, washing, cleaning, getting to know the people they live with. It's definitely not easy for a lot of students to find good meals for a small amount, the U.S. Is considerably cheaper than the UK overall, but we do have better quality in terms of knowing where out veggies, fruits, meats, etc come from & how they're grown. I agree with potatoes though - they can be cooked a thousand & 1 ways.
i know this is from a while ago, but did you try turning the garlic peeling thing(the first gadget ) but did you try turning it inside out? I may be wrong but to me it looks like the smooth side should be on the outside instead of the inside.
Also: You should totally try "Flammkuchen" (Literal Translation: Flame Cake). Its pizza dough with a sour-cream sauce (Sour Cream, Salt, Pepper, a dash of Paprika and parsley) topped with onions and additionally cheese. Then, it gets baked. Its a great dish from the Alsace.
A lot of people seem to think that it's strange for a British person to not like tea, I live in Enland, I know a lot of people who HATE tea. I like tea but nit strong tea it has to be milky on an average day I drink around 6 cups... The first thing I do when I wake up is make a cup of tea and the last thing I do at night is to have a cup of tea.... Thinks for reading my strangly long comment about tea I don't know where it came from! I don't know why that comment became so long, I was basically just saying that there are a lot of British people that don't like tea :-)
love your gadget videos! my dad was a huge gadget guy, if there was a gadget to do something he had to have it. I used to say that he was responsible for the success of Ron Popeil the original gadget guy. my dad passed away in 1985, long before internet could bring useless gadgets to your home overnight! thanks for your cool videos, my dad is smiling down on you.
Thank you so very much. Your videos are very amusing and give a giggle. I’m a Granny, and I actually received the “Biscuit Pocket” Cup for my birthday from my seven year old Grandson. OF COURSE I LIKE IT! (For that reason ALONE!) If your biscuit or cookie has any sort of chocolate on the outside of it... YOU’RE IN FOR QUITE THE MESS. Be prepared. I ONLY USE WHEN MY GRANDSON IS VISITING. Shhh 🤫
Barry, the first pair of pizza shears you used are most likely meant to be closed together first, then used to pick up the slice. You do not need the other half of the shears to be exposed. Nor do the shears need to be disassembled like that to eliminate the risk of cutting yourself. It seems like you use them to cut the pizza, then close the shears together, then pick up the slice. 9:15
+Geodracula the thing is, there are SO MANY tea types out there, he cannot have possibly tried them all to be able to say he doesn't like tea you know ?
***** Have you ever tried flower teas? Maybe what you don't like is the bitterness of strong teas and coffees, but flower teas are very soft ;) You should try it !
ronariverah It has to be a large knife, i have a 9 1/2 inch knife and i can cut a pizza really really well with it, very easily too. But not all knives work well (Especially if they're dull.)
there is this kitchen gadget called "funnel" which lets you transfer liquids from one container to another without any spillage ! Magic really. Ha! I loved your video btw.
What a coincidence that your and Sorted videos are similar themes and released within minutes of each other. Yours appears to be a little more serious though :P
I have the mug with the horizontal biscuit slot. It fits three chocolate digestives and the warmth of the tea above warms them and melts the chocolate ❤️
Also, have you tried pressing further on the tea tool plunger after it's all the way down? I saw one at the 99cent store in the USA here that opened its prongs after pushing further down on the plunger bit.
Those types of scissors, pixza type or otherwise, generally come apart soo that yippy can wash them easier..andor in the dish washer. Fyi. Tho, Im certainly not trying to kill your excitement!
I really love your kitchen gadget testing videos! I find them really entertaining and interesting at the same time. Your videos are really cool and i would love to see more gadget testing videos :) im definitely subscribing
+My Virgin Kitchen no problem they are the best basically the only awesomely good entertainment on UA-cam thank you for replying not many other youtubers do xxxxx
This man is highly underrated!! I watched this video a few years ago and I'm surprised there are not more subscribers. God amount of views though! Imma comment and like every video I watch to hopefully get your content out there :)
My herb scissors are particularly good. Basically it's 8 bladed scissors, like four pairs of scissors stacked. I also have the goldfish thing. It's great how somthing so simple can be such a help.
+Bonnie - 少女 well the first one was a german product and im pretty sure the second one was too so it might be big in germany. or its just one of those novelty kitchen items people make
+Bonnie - 少女 everyone can do as they pleases. I use scissors (normal scissors, not the one of the video) and cut first half, then quarters and then eat them with my hands. My grandma uses a round pizza cutter: the result is the same I can assure
i think i said something like this on the last video, but things like the tea tool are generally made for people like me who aren't able to use a spoon. so for example, people who can't grip a spoon well or have to be careful around boiling water lest they injure themselves. that's not to say non-disabled/younger people can't use these products, its just something to keep in mind when you use them. love the videos btw.
watched about 20 of your videos in a row.. i love love love love love your enthusiasm 😊 everything you do is such fun and joy to watch 💜 especially when you go nuts about something you didn't expect to happen (f.e. the melonslicer in the "melongadgets") surprised, stunned, excited 😂 love your videos 👍👍👍
I have one of those soaps. I wash my hands with normal soap but it doesn't get rid of the smell completely (even after a few washes), but if I use that after (or with) it goes entirely.
Oh Barry just watched your cackhandedness of the tea presser thing. I brough it as a token Christmas present it's still in use everyday 2 years later its bloody awesome and push to spread the fingers..
most kitchen shears come apart like that because when you put them in the dishwasher you separate the two pieces it makes it where the joint itself doesn't rust
don't know If someone has already mentioned this, but kitchen scissors are meant to come apart so that you can properly clean them! All the little groves in scissors can retain food bits and get fungus or really bad bacteria!
Old video I know but I have used a teatool before and if I remember correctly, the open the prongs at the end you have to pull it the opposite way! So pull the handle UP and it should open but I could be wrong! New subscriber really enjoying your videos, looking forward to over 30 videos of kitchen gadgets!
Hey Barry, a couple of comments. First, the scissors separate like that for cleaning. any decent kitchen shears should be able to be taken apart by opening them up all the way and lifting them apart. Second, Squeezing a teabag after it has steeped will just squeeze in all the left over bitter tannins. That tea tool is not only dumb, it makes a bad cuppa. Love your videos. Certainly not trying to criticize you, just thought you might like to know.
1 Bic pen white outside casing with ink, tip & bottom cap removed + pressure on a cherry where the stem use to be on a cutting board is the best free cherry pitter I ever had 🍒
Protip for garlic - Hit the garlic on the top with your palm to open it up. Throw everything in the bowl (even the "waste"). Put an upside bowl on top of the bowl (So it makes a ufo type shape) and shake them hard for about 15 seconds. Pick out the separated cloves.

+CrankyPants haha! me too!
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I read this as he said it 😳😂
my mind went to a wrong place 😏😏😏
My biggest issue with the biscuit mug is that there's only room for one....who eats one biscuit? I'd need one that holds the whole packet.
Chelsea Dunbar so true .
Maybe it’s actually for a tea bag.
@@soupsgord that’s why it says “biscuit” on it ..?
with the teabag gadget thing, you pull the handle up to open it and we find it so useful. we keep it with a little bowl by the kettle for tea bags so we don't have to make the arduous metre journey across the kitchen to the bin each time we have a mug of tea.
Hey Barry, you should do a student meal week! Meals for under £5 or whatever. I think that would be great to watch (as a student).
+Rafeeeeeeeeeeey Same here man.
even as a professional this massively helps

+Jay Jay Well I mean yeah, I guess

+tone vallestad
agreed
+tone vallestad Kitchen scissors are like this. It has nothing to do with this gadget. It really os for easier cleaning.
i know this is from a while ago, but did you try turning the garlic peeling thing(the first gadget ) but did you try turning it inside out? I may be wrong but to me it looks like the smooth side should be on the outside instead of the inside.
i'd say that, or to cut the head? part off, so its more flush when rolling around? I feel like that might be what went wrong
I see why you think that but I don't think it's the case
I have the teabag squeezer, you pull the plunger up to open the claws.
I actually love it, but I like very strong tea.
I may make this tomorrow

Did you try pulling up on the tea tool to open the claw part?
Trump is going to be president. The planet is warming. People are cutting pizza with scissors.
We're all doomed.
Some pizza has to be cut with scissors, especially at home.

I never add milk to my tea. just sugar, or honey when I have a sore throat.

+JD Contracting the tractor one
Instead of wasting ur money on a silicone fish use a plastic bottle
Yea I totally agree
but it looks better
So
But then you have to buy bottled water lol. The fish is always there once you buy it:D
Well he did say the fish is only like £1 and water can sometimes cost £1.80 to £2 so in a way the fish is a better product
Every time a British person says they hate tea an angel loses its wings.
"I get smelly fingers for a variety of reasons" I'm done that was deffo a little nod to the audience 😂

LOL at the mug you used for the tea- reppin' the west country.
My gma has had one of those steel soaps for years and years and as far as I’m concerned it works !
The scissors coming apart also makes cleaning a lot nicer.

Small sandwich/sugar cube tongs work well for grabbing and squeezing your tea bags as well.
where did you get those green pizza scissors?
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only British person who hates tea. 😂
This is the first video I saw from "My Virgin Kitchen" and I think you have a good thing going here.
I'm looking forward to the next one.

1 Bic pen white outside casing with ink, tip & bottom cap removed + pressure on a cherry where the stem use to be on a cutting board is the best free cherry pitter I ever had 🍒
If you add sugar it's a lot better. You can add sugar and if it's still not good you add more until it's good.
everything you say and the way you say it makes me happy
Protip for garlic -
Hit the garlic on the top with your palm to open it up. Throw everything in the bowl (even the "waste").
Put an upside bowl on top of the bowl (So it makes a ufo type shape) and shake them hard for about 15 seconds.
Pick out the separated cloves.
It is the first time I watched a video in your canal and I did love it! Sorry, I am Brazilian and my English is limited!
