    Soooo disappointing he didn't use Naomi right, at least how I've seen it used when you pull it up and release it to crack the nut lol. He just kinda jabbed it a bunch of times lol. That was funny! Still giving a thumbs up though. 😉 A for effort!

    I have the same tomatoe thing!! But you had to use it like this:
    1) Cook the tomatoes, put a bunch of them in a pot at medium heat
    2) Once the tomatoes are soft and in a kind of soup of their on juices, pour that into the machine
    3) Collect all the seeds and skin that is going to be pouring out from the little oppeining and then put it back againg into the machine until it comes out dry
    4) Cook the juice you collected with a little bit of salt and BOOM you have home-made tomatoe sauce italian style
    The machine broke because you are suppose to cook the tomatoes first, mine is 6 years old and perfeclty fine

    For the egg gadget you are supposed to store it with your eggs (so keep it in the fridge if you keep your eggs in the fridge). It's so that the internal temperature of the gadget can match the internal temperature of the eggs and cook more accurately.

      There are very few places outside of the US that eggs are kept in the fridge, so he should have been good to go temp wise.

    • @huntergallagher5704
      @huntergallagher5704 8 років тому +2

      Hello, ignorant American here. How in the heck are you supposed to keep your eggs outside of the fridge? I wouldn't trust them sitting out on the counter, pasteurized or otherwise. I don't even trust eggs that have been in the nest for longer than two or three days at home.

    • @infin1ty850
      @infin1ty850 8 років тому +9

      Eggs have a protective coating on them. In the US, it's required by FDA regulation that they be washed thoroughly for public consumption which removes the coating. This is pretty much only a US regulation. If you get your eggs out of a nest, there is no reason whatsoever to put them in the fridge to preserve them.

    • @huntergallagher5704
      @huntergallagher5704 8 років тому +2

      Eggs have a protective coating on them that prevents spoilage when left at room temperature? I mean, it makes sense when you're looking at it from a reproductive point of view for the chicken as they often delay the actual nest-sitting until they've accumulated so many eggs but from a "is this thing gross" point of view for Americans it doesn't seem like a good idea to leave anything, really, outside the fridge. Hell, most of us keep our ketchup and vinegar in the fridge.

      Your talking out of your ass Robyn, hes from the west country, same as me, and thats the accent from here. It is a thick accent. As for talentless, well thats your opinion, but I have been watching him from the very beginning, the very first video, and have enjoyed seeing Barry evolve from a very nervous vlogger, to the confident vlogger he is today. Also this IS his day job, one which he is doing so well at, so well, that his wife was able to give up her day job, to join him. Also before you make a ignorant post, how about understanding the history of the channel. The whole point is that Barry is a NOVICE in the kitchen, hence why its called 'My virgin kithcen', so he's not always going to get it right, and he's trying the gadgets as a novice, seeing these things for the first time, as an every day joe...how many people actually read the instructions? Typical man really. I LOVE his banter, as do many others, and thats why he has such a big following, which increases on a daily basis. So he must be doing something right.

    My husband says you were doing the walnut thingy wrong. Apparently you were needing to hold the spring down with one hand (pressing down on the two loops/tabs on either side), and with your other hand pull the black ball up as far as you can and release it so that it smashes into the nut and cracks the shell. We have a walnut tree so i think i might look into that gadget, thanks!

    As an Australian whose parents are Italians. The Tomato Sauce Machine - You need to boil / cook the tomatoes slightly up to 20 mins and you can squeeze them before hand in water so you dont get it all over you then drain or squeeze or squash them in the pot without water so you dont waste the juices but it will make it a little more watery and the skins can be put through again for a thicker sauce. Tomatoes need to be over ripped too. I hope that helps. Just realised its hard to explain then do. lol

      You don't have to like everything, but the basic ingredients that are in almost any food?!?

    • @kitcatters
      @kitcatters 8 років тому +1

      even as chef u don't need to like anything as long as u are fine of tasting them and telling if it will taste good for the people u are going to feed it to

    • @DaisyM
      @DaisyM 8 років тому +3

      I mean, just because you're a cook you don't have to like every single ingredient out there. I'm in culinary school and I'm vegetarian, and i cook meats, fish, shrimp, chicken, etc, and of course i taste it to check the flavour and texture, and of course I don't enjoy tasting the meat and seafood, but i have to. So chill.

    My Mom always used a Food Mill for pureeing (is that a word?) tomatoes to make tomato soup. I used one to make fresh tomato sauce. It's metal, easy to use and easy to clean, much better than the monstrosity you tried :-) !
    Appreciate your fun way of reviewing gadgets.

      just a tip witht he burger stuffer . you put in a bit to much meat so it cant seal it completely arround .
      i used to make loads of them ,by hand . but using a machine like that , i really needed to get used , but i figured out that you dont need to put allot of meat in there or it doesnt seal all the way arround . but i must say the second one did come out decently :)

And the chopper was really need to see your wife and daughter do them all so cuz it helps to understand how easy they are to use ever somebody who is handicapped or has some disability this will be easier for them to use because it looks like it could take much pressure. Thanks for all the great videos keep up the great work.

    With the stuffz maker you don't take it apart like that however if you take a closer look at the handle you can turn it to lock and unlock it, when it's locked you can either make normal patties or twist to unlock push it down and make a well/hole to stuff with goodies then lock the handle again add more burger and press it together...
