You're welcome!
Thanks for a really good tutorial on local adjustments.
You are welcome!
Love the tutorials, please keep them coming
Thanks!
And thanks for the music. You are good at editing in Photolab 6.
Thank you too!
Crikey have I got a lot to learn! Just coming to the end of my 30 day free trial - will be buying it as I have been very impressed so far!
If the workflow and tools are working well for you, I wouldn't hesitate. I made the same decision a couple of years ago. Haven't regretted it and it's my main photo editor.
@@RobTrek thanks Rob, I took the plunge, seems a terrific bit of software!
@@alanworland9478 Congrats! Please feel free to email me with suggested tutorial/topics to cover. rob at robtrek dot com. Thanks.
thank you, impressive edits!
Thank you too!
Terrific instructional video.
Thank you!
Thanks
Thank you!
Nice video, and a few new things that I learned from your tutorial. By the way, I would have used another control point to darken the pupils just a tad.
And to adjust the size of the brush just press and hold ctrl tab and use the scroll wheel on the mouse to change the size.
Good tip!
One of the otherwise common features - but strangely missing from Photolab 6 (newest version per August 2023) - is the ability to draw a straight line with the masking brush and Shift. If you like precise masking at a high zoom rate by drawing short, straight lines - this is out of reach with Photolab 6. Control of the mask edges is indirect through the brush, which is a pain. I wonder if DxO is listening, otherwise - 7 may be a new disappointment.
I will make a suggestion to DxO about this. Should be an easy feature to add.
I did that half a year ago and repeated the suggestion recently. Maybe the DxO developers will listen to you. To be fair Affinity Photo 2 cant paint a straight line in their raw persona either. No response, only evasive talk. But as you suggest, it must be an easy improvement to create - and as it is important for many users, it would without doubt be greatly appreciated.
It would be great if DxO added a Liquify Tool.
Thanks Rob. Can you show us how to use DxO products to stich together some bracketed photos that I have taken with my OM-5. Thanks, Peter.
Hi, Peter. I did a video using Nik HDR efex pro here: ua-cam.com/video/t6T0DHyXv3M/v-deo.html
great vid, thanks! the last section could be slower though : )
Thanks!
Rob: what is your take on DXO's completeness in including Olympus / OM Systems for all of their programs & features?
Example: I could not find both RAW & JPG support for the 12-100 f4 lens. Also, the "Pure Raw" feature support appears to be spotty. What is your experience shown you? (I'm currently an ON1 user; but their website says ON1 does NOT support Pixel Shift files! {Read: HHHS files})
I use the Photolab 6 Elite, which includes the "Deep Prime" found in PureRaw. I have not run across any lenses that I've used that don't work with it, including the 12-100mm f/4. Hi-Res shots are no problem either. What Photolab does not do is stacking, panoramas, and multiple exposures such as HDR and Layering. For those things I usually just use Photoshop/LR, but there are free alternatives online that you can supplement Photolab with.
Controls look a little different on a Mac.
Thanks for letting me know. I don't have a Mac, so really haven't seen what it looks like. However, the user manual seems to have Mac screen shots.
And who has all of that time?
You have to love editing.
Beautiful
Thank you
