    What amazes me most about these Goblins is the sound, even these small 380’s sounds like a 600. Lololol. Wish SAB would come out with these again or even a RAW 320 would be niiiiiice. Smooth flying by the way.

    Been flying the hell out of mine the past couple of weeks. Windy here in western Nebraska but that thing handles the wind really great. Rock solid, hardly have to give any stick input to keep it in a hover. Good vid as usual.

    Just ordered one to join my SG500 Sport.
    Best helicopters I have flown..they feel so solid and planted. The SG500 sport is a heli I look forward to working on.

    Very nice! Good smooth flying and beautiful heli. One thing is that the heli looks very small when you go a bit far away. I usually do some post editing to zoom in. It's a bit tedious but gives a much better view of the heli on the air. Other than that, cool video. I am a big fan of Goblins myself :)

    ...woke up, made coffee and im about to fly my blade 330s...i put the "micro heli" tail assembly on it and its much smoother and stronger...ive got to get a piece of balsa so i can make a esc plate for the blade 480 that im working on and hopefully i will make a flight sometime this week....and if you havent practiced autorotations then you should...i accidentally ran my battery out and had to do a autorotation but luckily i was already coming in for a landing and i was able to do it without any damage...been trying to do it on the simulator ever since and its hard with the smaller helis.

    • @mangzrc
      @mangzrc  3 роки тому

      Awesome, I really like my Fusion 550, you should think about getting the stretch kit for it. Good auto-rotations can only be accomplished with one-way bearing equipped helis, most small helicopters do not have one-ways so just be sure before trying them.

    • @hoofarted8709

      @@mangzrc....since ive waited this long to get it put together, i may go a head and get the stretch kit...i keep hearing good thngs about it....i know about the one-way bearings but on the simulator, its easier to do successful autos as the helicopter gets bigger for me at least...i fly airplanes and never have to worry about if something ever was to happen but when my battery failed and i had to do a short auto, then it hit me that with helicopters, you have only one skilled chance of not having a yard sale:)

    Great video, I was stuck deciding between this Heli and the Kraken 580, but the Kraken won. I intend using the same FBL as you, any pointers for it in the Kraken? I am just a sport flyer but really liked the look and build of the Kraken.

    • @mangzrc
      @mangzrc  2 роки тому +1

      Just make sure you register and update the FBL to the latest firmware, they made some NXT updates that help out with helis 500ish and larger. Also, make sure your transmitter is up-to-date, it will make things smoother in forward programming. I would also run a second receiver for redundancy. Go ahead and program a bail-out too, you never know when you’ll need it.

    Is there any way to program the safe technology into other SAB helicopters?

    • @mangzrc
      @mangzrc  Рік тому +1

      SAFE is programmed into the 6250 flight controller, so you can add SAFE to any helicopter if you use that flight controller.

    • @colorado_a3766

      @@mangzrc I went for my maiden flight today and I’m having trouble getting the helicopter to cooperate. I set the controller and radio up using some videos I found on UA-cam as reference and prior knowledge from previous setups. On my controller settings I have the gear channel set to flight mode and under channel input, it is set to gyro, when going into forward programming I try to set the flight mode channel to gear but since my gain channel is set to gear already, it reverts the flight mode channel back to “inhibit”. The issue I’m having during flight is as follows: the tail rotor doesn’t seem to want to return back to a “hover” position; the helicopter just doesn’t want to cooperate the way I feel it should based on how I have it set up. During my maiden flight today I managed to break my blades so I have time to really dial in my setup and calibration. I feel my progress level with flying collective pitch is not the issue to how the heli is flying, but rather some of my settings may be askew. I really want to learn and I’m willing to invest as much time and money into the hobby in order to be at a point where I can go out with my family and just have some fun. Thank you!
      Spektrum dx6 is my transmitter

    • @mangzrc
      @mangzrc  2 роки тому +1

      @@colorado_a3766 I am going to provide my setup that I have on my DX9, just cross reference my settings with yours and see if you can get it fixed.
      Flight Mode Setup - Switch 1: Switch B, Switch 2: Inhibit, Hold Switch: Switch H.
      Channel Input Config - 5 Gear & 6 Aux1 are both Inh.
      RX Port Assignments - 5 gear is Gyro.
      Gyro channel is gear & switch is flight mode.
      In forward programming - Gain channel is gear. FM & output are both inh.
      Start fresh with a factory reset and keep trying, it can be really frustrating but you will figure it out no doubt. I played with my settings for awhile, especially since there was little on the 6250/Buddy in general when I installed it. If you have any issues, throw up a private video and send me the link so I can see what’s going on.

    How did you configure safe on a switch with the 6250hx?

    • @mangzrc
      @mangzrc  2 роки тому

      I assigned it to a button, there are instructions in the 6255’s manual on how to do so. I only use it as a bail option, I do not fly around in SAFE so I do not have it on a switch.
