I love that Bran has become Winterfell's cat just sitting there silently judging everybody
😂
This made me laugh so hard. Thanks, man. Needed it. 😂
"Can someone please wheel Bran inside already?!"
This comment made my day, thanks.
Spit Take 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jon: I don"k know how to ride a dragon.
Dany: Of course you know, you practiced on me last night!

@@vishalsharma-xc4fy Lol, you got the wrong Skynard Song for this. "On the Hunt" My daddy told me a long time ago

Well both of them you ride

Cersei: I want elephants!!
Got CGI budget: Not this time honey
That's disappointing lol
Can you imagine? Final season cost 100 million right? That's just insane numbers.
It would have been sad to see elephants burnt alive to be fair, probably factored into considerations
@@dotheyfloat9961 no. They burned children alive, it's just the cgi that's the problem
@@pulpficti Nah, nothing especially difficult about elephants either compared to dragons, mammoths etc. Decision would have gone beyond "the CGI is too hard", would have been some aesthetic or other non autistic considerations.
Sam: What are you doing out here?
Bran: waiting for an old friend.
The ending with Brandon and Jamie is not the only callback to the first episode.
Remember in the opening scene in the first episode, Brandon climbing up the tower to watch the arrival of King Robert and the Queen, this episode's opening scene had a young boy climbing a tree to watch the arrival of King Jon and Queen Daneirys.
Also Arya making way for the little boy, the same way someone made way for her when she wanted to see King Roberts army.
Dany agreed to help before he bent the knee so Jons excuse doesn't really hold water.
I found you late in your journey, but I find you so easy to enjoy this show with. I've loved seeing your takes, your emotions, and your theories throughout. You're absolutely lovely company to have, and I'm grateful to have found you
The synergy of season 8 episode 1 and season 1 episode 1 is insane:
King Robert's marching
Ned: the North is yours, your Grace
Bran and Arya lurking... synced with the little kid...
Both episodes ending are even poetically synced: Jaime pushing Bran; Bran waiting for Jaime's arrival.
Aish, you have truly been a pleasure to watch ... One of my fave GoT reacters.
Bran: hi jamie, could you give me a hand?
Jamie: why, need a push?
Daenarys' winter outfits are on point!
Poor Cercei, she wanted elephants. Don't we all? Where is my elephant?
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Absolutely loved these reactions but i cant manage to sit through season 8 again even in reaction form lmao
why not, its interesting to see what she'd think and how'd she react to the absurdity of this season knowing she's a huge fan of the show by now
Dude same💀💀

Then don’t … I mean, it is what it is.
Serious question, why do people like you always want to piss in someone else's Cheerios?
Oh good, the season everyone just adores 🥺
I'm with you but let her form her opinion.
@@thurnishaley6649 Oh yeah, of course.
I just wanted to put a sarcastic comment.
BEST SEASON EV-AAH🙄🙄🙄
Jon and Arya comparing weapons is so wholesome ❤😢
Also even comparing Rob to this is not same situation, Rob mostly failed not because of foreign women but because he was already promised to another, that was his downfall, breaking his promise
Dany executing Sam's family inadvertently leads us to that intense Samwell Jon exchange at the Crypts of Winterfell. Don't think that conversation would've went that way otherwise. It's a really well acted scene. Both of them do a great job, especially John Bradley. His quivering lip during the Dany scene was superb. Everything Sam tells Jon about the difference between him and Dany has merit. "You gave up your crown to save your people. Would she do the same". It's true even if it's hard to accept. At no point in the series did it ever feel like Dany would compromise on her claim. Not in Yunkai, not in Meereen, not in Westeros. This is a seminal question on the ethics of ruling between Dany and Jon, the two sides of the Targaryen coin. The conflict is very much there and it's set up well by that very tense exchange. But no one can build on something as substantive as that in just 6 episodes without hamfisting it. Let alone trying to do it while having to squeeze in two endgame battles from two totally different storylines.
"You gave up your crown to save your people. Would she do the same"
It doesn't matter. JON doesn't want the bloody crown.
@@theredeemer1644 Neither did Aegon II. A sunday from now, he'll wear the crown.
@@dustinaltenhurst7958 Different thing, different story. Not the same.
@@theredeemer1644 In both cases the commnality was "the realm will not accept a female/outsider heir". When the people want you to be king, even if you don't want it, sometimes you are forced into that position.
@@dustinaltenhurst7958 You can't make someone king/president or whatever if he DOESN'T want it.
The opening scene music is a riff that was played in episode one season one when Robert came north to see need.
this was my favorite show and still has a place in my heart. I’m so glad i got to watch along side you
Jon betrayed the trust in his people. Dany had already promised to help fight the undead when he "bent" the knee.
If he hadn't done that, the northern houses would have been more appreciative of Dany coming north to help, and there wouldn't be such animosity between her and Sansa. Now they just see her as a conqueror.
About Robb Stark. Things didn't go to shit because he married a "foreigner", but because he married someone else, other than whom he'd been promised to, he broke his oath to the Freys. Proving himself as an oathbreaker and an immature leader.
The northerners are stubborn as a damn GOAT. They should be on their knees licking Dany's boots for what she brought to Winterfell.
Sansa doesn't give a sh!t about the NK, she just wants the bloody North.
Just play in your head a different version of this ep.(and season) when Dany f*ks right off with her armies and dragons when she sees that she is not well received and appreciated and let Sansa "deal" with the NK.
It's been a pleasure watching your reactions to this show, through the laughs and the tears and the "mind blown" moments, you remind me of how I felt watching GOT. It's been a fun ride and I'm so glad you got to see this amazing show and that you loved it! God bless!
The opening scene is indeed a callback to Robert Baratheon's arrival at Winterfell in the first episode, from the marching drums to the curious boy climbing. The episode ends with Jaime and Bran, just like the first episode.
Totally with Sansa in the opening scene; Besides of the recent history ~ 22 years, the Starks lost a grandfather, uncle and aunt, the north lost their liege lord, his heir and their princess and several lords of other houses.
Dany was warned by Jon that they will be suspicious of outsiders, and Dany's dragons dive bomb the small folk scaring them and all that did was enforce their deep distrust of her and she puts on a smug face , a dumb power move where the Lady of Winterfell was watching from the walls of the castle and ready to great her into their home; All that did was reenforce Sansa's resolve and distrust.
Dany has to do more than show up, and at this point did nothing more then a power move which failed.
It's also Dany and Jon's job to provide for their army ( food, clothing, etc. ) but Dany burned the food. Sansa made sure the north had food for the winter and coming war, refuge for the people escaping and she had enough land for as many people as possible, she had the forges working, Winterfell in a war footing, implemented the training.
Sansa is straight up with Dany, nothing behind her back, but Dany uses veil threats with Jon about Sansa not respecting her, Dany hasn't earned it yet not enough to just show up.
Yeah I totally get Sansa's point I seriously don't get why people hated her for this.. she was thinking for the good of her people.. that "whatever they want" by Dany was a pretty stupid response idc why people think that was savage💀💀
Dany just lost her child trying to save her brother's life, her King's life. A little respect isn't that much to ask. Sansa wasn't even trying to be diplomatic, she was hostile from the start. How stupid and out of character for a leader of a great House. Yeah let's be rude to the person who abandoned her life's goal to fight alongside us. That's how Ned Stark's North shows gratitude these days i guess.
@@dabhyun1133 I'm not sure why you can't tell how unreasonable she was behaving. She didn't know Dany and didn't want to get to know Dany. She basically treated her like an enemy the entire time, Sansa should be better than this. The smartest person Arya's ever met? Tywin Lannister would be rolling in his grave.
@@BhlackBishop And Sansa knew nothing about that at that point only weeks later when Jon tells her he bent the knee and it wasn't only Sansa he upset, but the entire north.
Respect has to be earned, Dany didn't go north out of the goodness of her heart, she went expecting the north to kiss her ring.
I be effin hostile too, after watching the wanna be queen have her dragons dive bomb her people and being smug about it. Sansa saw that from the walls of Winterfell, the Lady of the house who got the north ready, and provided space for that wannabe queen who came north with no food for her army or her dragons.
RESPECT is a two way street, Dany had none at that moment, nor did she even try to learn the lessons from Darrio or Selmy, Tyrion or Varys. ( Know the history, lands and customs of the people you wish to rule).
Sansa knows the history, the Starks lost a grandfather, an uncle, a aunt, 8 other houses lost their lords; do you really think Dany's little stunt made them enduring to her ? If anything it made them more distrusting of her and only proved Sansa was correct about her.
Sansa tells Dany truths to her face no threats ; even when Sansa ask pertinent questions on Dany's plans for the north if they defeat Cersei, Dany pulls her hand away and gives snake eyes,
She behind Sansa's back makes vail threats about Sansa to Jon because she doesn't feel respected .
In what world did her actions win the trust or respect of the north or the Lady of Winterfell?
Dany hurt her own cause and Sansa had every right to let her know it.
@@pjfsr7024 “she went expecting the north to kiss her ring.”
This is called a projection. Which is when one makes biased statements about a character’s intentions without any evidence to base those assumptions on. It’s clear by the way you word your comments that you don’t like Dany. I mean you’re not even trying to appear objective in this discussion and letting personal bias cloud your judgement.
Jon didn’t even need to bend the knee, she had already agreed to go to Winterfell and fight alongside the people of the North. He bent the knee and pledged House Stark to her because “They’ll come to see you as I do”, as someone who risked her life and her children’s life to save 7 strangers. That’s why he bent the knee. And if Sansa truly does respect Jon then she should respect his decision as well. You made him King because you respect his decisions, all of a sudden you no longer trust his decisions, how convenient in the series finale. It’s almost like you can feel the pen of the writers, they already wrote their ending and all the characters just have to adjust and finagle their way there no matter how nonsensical their reasons are just as long as they get to the finale on time. Shameful stuff.
The irony is that Sansa actually supported former King Torrhen Stark’s decision of saving Northern lives by bending the knee to Aegon I, and she is probably the most southern looking person in Winterfell even styling her hair like Cersei’s and yet she’s the one preaching about Northern Nationalism. The direction the writers have taken with her is so weird. I mean just compare Jon’s first interaction with Dany, and look at Yara’s first interaction with Dany and then we have Sansa’s first interaction with Dany, the smartest person Arya knows, who has proven herself to be a bad diplomat and a single-minded leader, just like her father. I thought she said she learned from Ned’s mistakes and is thankful for many lessons from Baelish, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. If she wants Dany to grant the North independence, she sure has a strange way of going about it. If I want a raise from a boss I’ve never met, I sure wouldn’t start with snarky remarks. America wouldn’t be here today if the founding fathers had Sansa’s attitude and negotiation tactics.
“If anything it made them more distrusting of her and only proved Sansa was correct about her.”
Not exactly if her motive is to protect her family then she should be happy that Dany and Jon are getting along. If a Stark marries into the Crown, then her family would be as safe as possible. No Stark would ever be summoned and killed in the capital ever again. So why does she still insist for a Northern kingdom unless saving her family is not her true motive but simply to obtain power. Who knows, just a theory to explain her strange behavior this season.
“what world did her actions win the trust or respect of the north or the Lady of Winterfell?”
I mean she did fight the dead and the NK on the battlefield alongside Northern soldiers while Sansa stayed in the crypts but okay.
"The things we do for love". I'm betting Jaime Lannister never uttered those words when he saw Brandon just sitting there waiting for him.
remember bran said I am waiting for a friend
my dude bran even considers someone like Jaime his friend

Looking forward to you joining us on House of the Dragon afterwards. One of Aegon the Conqueror's dragons is still alive in it (Vhagar) and I'm noticing how young and small Dany's dragons are by comparison 😂

It’s been a pleasure rewatching this fantastic series through your eyes! Your reactions are great and totally appropriate so just keep being you. 😊
You missed the other throwback of when Bran climbed the walls to get a glimpse of the king coming to Winterfell. The kid climbing the tree to get a glimpse of the Queen coming to Winterfell, with the same music background as in the pilot episode.
The thing is WE know the bigger picture. Sansa and the others in Winterfell don’t. All they know is they fought for their freedom, and now they’ve lost it. I think I’m one of the few people who was not happy when Jon bent the knee, and completely sided with Sansa here. At the point where Jon did bend the knee, he didn’t have to anymore…Dany had already pledged her army to the cause. Sansa sees it clearly. He didn’t do it for the north…he did it for love. And Sam asked a key question to Jon. You died for your people…would she do the same? You answered it…no.
And don’t listen to the naysayers. There are definitely some problems with this season…largely rushed storylines, but it’s still enjoyable…enjoy it!
< I think I’m one of the few people who was not happy when Jon bent the knee>
We may be few, but it's larger than we know.
A house with great wealth and fertile lands asks you for your protection against another with a strong navy that could one day oppose you. How do you know which choice is wise and which isn’t? - Tywin Lannister.
Jon lacks the wisdom. Daenerys basically saw the threat, a threat that even her dragons could not fight. At this point she is basically asking Jon that we will destroy the NK together. House Daenerys is basically asking Jon's help to defeat House NK. Yet, Jon so blinded by love and beauty bends the knee. Because he thinks his vision of beauty and power will be reflected by his people despite all the past history and their struggle for freedom.
Sansa was spot on: Did you bend the knee to save the North or because you love her? Daenerys was willing to save the North. Jon's only reason to bend the knee was his own weakness. It's a shame most people don't see it. Men really do stupid things for a women.

Jamie's reaction seeing Bran after all these years always gives me the feels.
His facial expressions are first class, he has made me feel the same way many times without having to say a word.
Dany never learned the lessons Darrio, Selmy, Tyrion or Jorah tried to teach her : Know the people, land, customs.
Sansa may be slow, but she learns and retains her lessons.

Jon was born too late, the dragons in HoTD have saddles, it's a nice touch. Also lol@ aish having a titanic moment
If by some miracle you haven't filmed episode 3 yet, I have some suggestions specifically for watching that one. It's a very dark episode as far as the coloring and it's hard to see everything going on. So I think it's one to turn your screen brightness up on OR maybe one to film with the lights off. I know creators feel like we can't see their reactions well when their lights are off, but I promise that we can if you have just the smallest pinch of front lighting. I don't want you to miss anything because it really really is essential to the feeling of the episode as it progresses
She has already finished GOT and started HOTD.
That's unfortunate
Yeah, I wouldn't tell Sansa to shut up...It's HER HOUSE, Sansa has ways of bitch slapping Dany, and Dany is under her protection and rules.
I think for me the best part of this episode was Jon riding the dragon Daenerys named for his biological father, and the fact that Rhaegal was like “oh hey. I remember you.” Nuzzled him a little, and then actually LET Jon mount him.
Darnarys is no longer the same person compared to the beginning. People love the idea of her so much they can't see she's not the same person anymore. Zombies are coming and she's still concerned about sensa bending the knee. Its clear as day, her priority is to rule, to be a queen, to hold power over her fellow man. Everything else means nothing to her anymore. She's becoming cersei
Thaaaaaank you!!! 👏
And what about Sansa and the Northern people then? Zombies are coming and what they were still concerned about was Jon's title in the North, Daenerys being Queen of the 7K, and not trusting Lannister's. I guess they are no longer the same people compared to last season. They're priority is an independent North, they're becoming Greyjoys's. Winter does not sow?
@@BhlackBishop they were literally gathering supplies, creating armor, sending word to bring the rest of the North to Winterfell to prepare for the Night King. Did you even watch the show or did you just happen to forget that while Jon was away negotiating a "truce" with Dany in Dragonstone, Sansa was acting as Lady of Winterfell and preparing?
When Jon told the North about the White Walkers after he was crowned, nobody even questioned him apart from when Lord Glover was hesitant to send girls into battle as well. They started preparing. But Dany on the other hand, fought him and denied the truth until she saw them for herself and lost a dragon.
@@midnightmadness7156 What are you talking about. OP said Dany's priority after arriving in Winterfell was to assert her claim as Queen which apparently makes her a bad person. And i replied that Sansa and Lynna's priority after Jon arrived in Winterfell was to assert his claim as King in the North so i guess they are bad people too by that logic.
Also not sure why you have the word, truce, in quotations. Jon went to Dragonstone to forge an alliance with Dany, he succeeded. no need for quote marks.
@@BhlackBishop he had to bend the knee. That wasn't part of the original plan. Yes, he fought for the alliance and won it, but he had to sacrifice his own crown to do so. Also, after Dany burned King's Landing, she talked about "liberating" Winterfell as well - uhhh.. that wasn't part of the deal. So yes, "truce" is accurate.
As for talking about the OP. How about you read it again? They were talking about Dany's character development as a whole. The second she landed in Westeros, she literally demanded every single person she met to bend the knee before she would agree to anything or any allegiances. The North wanted clarification as to what the hell happened when Jon left as King of the North, and then he just gave up their hard-fought independence like it was nothing. Yeah, they were a little pissed off that he bent the knee (which meant he was speaking on behalf of everyone in the North without consulting anyone) and they were forced to bend the knee to another Targaryen conqueror - something they never wanted to do again and something Ned Stark himself fought against.
the dragon jon rode is called rhaegar...named after his father :)

i personally believe sansa is definitely making good points especially when thinking about logistics such as supplies. it is winter therefore no crop production and also wartime despite a truce so trade would also be fractured. thousands of troops extra will not last long especially if you only have provisioned for a certain amount of troops to hold winterfell
also the north are technically a different people so it makes no sense for them to bend for another foreign leader when they have declared another king in the north.
Yeah, Sansa was right. Dany shoudl've just gone to King's Landing to take the crown and let the north get eaten by the whites. It would be one less kingdom to worry about.

I hope when you have space you one day react to the 5 seasons of The Last Kingdom
Sansa is completely right. It annoys me so much how the problem of feeding all these people is just a vehicle for a stupid one liner from Daenerys instead of an actual plot point. They’re not just looking at one battle but possibly years of winter with little food. Daenerys just burned all the supplies from the reach which was such a stupid move. Made for a big spectacle of course, but no military expert would have burned those supplies instead of capturing them. Sansa is making sensible points that should be explored but she’s being portrayed as some kind of snarky pouting child. I’m already getting S8 flashbacks, argh
I strongly agree. So many people hate on Sansa because she's "cold" and properly assertive. But they completely overlook Dany's pettiness and her childish need to be worshipped. It amazes me.
Yeah, Sansa was right. Dany shoudl've just gone to King's Landing to take the crown and let the north get eaten by the whites. It would be one less kingdom to worry about.

@@voidofme9192 you’re arguing like these are real people and I’m criticizing a real person here. But I’m actually criticizing the writers for maneuvering the story into
such a position. Earlier seasons that had GRRM's books to draw on portrayed the consequences of certain actions accurately. Logistics were a problem like they would have been in a real war. That’s all out of the window post season four.
@@voidofme9192 I'm not sure who's the stupid one here -- if I may be so rude as you. No one but you on this thread made a suggestion about Dany going directly to Kings Landing and letting the wights (sp) eat the North. The OP suggested that Sansa was right to ask about feeding this enormous army that just showed up on their doorstep. And that Dany was foolish for burning up food and supplies that she could have brought with her. What is so stupid about that??
Let's not forget Sansa was also the one who experienced riots at Kingslanding because people revolted over lack of food and she almost got raped that day. And Tywin told us not strength but wisdom makes for a good King/Queen. Daenerys has the power to destroy wagon loads of food in middle of winter while her army is left food less but it was Sansa who planned and managed food for the entire North.
Food is of this world and this world is sinful. Jon who once questioned Stannis of his overstay at the wall over shortage of food is completely blinded by Dany's strength and beauty and focused of NK while Sansa was taught to look beyond today and see all eventualities. She prepared the castle for war but also ensured they have enough grains. Unfortunately Jon and Dany lack that foresight in their rule which makes them both bad rulers as proved time and again on the show. It's what the story told us through Tywin, they both make for bad King/Queen.
Seeing Jon riding Rhagel is so satisfying
When Arya says “Once or twice” 😢😢😢
It's actually true.she did only use it like twice.
What do dragons eat? Whatever they want lmao
Rheagal the dragon…named after Jon’s father Rheagar
Dany acts so evil.its no surprise sansa picks up on it.jon is a idiot for giving up the north
This is still a very good episode.
American Mom's the BOMB! Glad to hear your doing the new show as well. To me, Theon's story arc is the best one on the show.
Alas, another Sansa dismisser. I love you Aish, but you have to start looking at things from Sansa's point of view a little more. She’s trying to protect her people and her family. Dany is a conqueror with a massive army that could decimate them, along with dragons, just as Aegon did. Many, many, many civilians suffered under his reign. She’s cautious and Jon is making hasty decisions without counsel. Dany technically isn't even the true heir. She’s technically usurping Jon. Let's not pretend fighting the Night King isn't in HER best interest as well. She wouldn't have been able to ignore them even IF Jon hadn't given up his crown. She’s not doing anyone any favors- she had to defeat the Night King regardless.
Good episode, good reactions - real GoT style :)

Please watch and react to the tv-series Rome. It's a lot like Game of Thrones, but set in historical Rome. Mostly told through the POV of two Roman centurions, season one has Julius Caesar's struggle for power as its backdrop, and for season two it's Octavian/Augustus who is trying to ascend. Simply fantastic in every respect!
Elaria Sand and Maester Pycell are in it IIRC.
@@Ottawajames Mance Rayder's actor plays Caesar as well
i tryed few time to find anybody reacts to rome but coould not:( Great series.
Nah. As much as I loved Rome, I'd love more to watch people react to Spartacus. With all the blood and nudity it will never happen though. My next choice is the full Karate Kid movies and Cobra Kai.
That or even Banshee. Not much nudity there but lots of blood and violence. Plus it's weird rooting for Homeland.
I so hope you'll be reacting to House of the Dragon after this! Also a great and fascination show so far!

I don't know if it has been said yet, or if you have recorded the video yet, but when you get to episode 3 be sure to turn the brightness up on your monitor. The episode is very dark and hard to see at times.
i kinda like this season ngl i agree with people's criticism but i still like it, they just rushed it, it should have been like 8-10 episodes
True but this 6 episodes alone took 2 years to finish, when you look behind the scenes, people are just exhausted and glad it's finally over.
Many people being faced with their past lives in this episode. Time for a reckoning.
I know you've finished the series so this isn't a spoiler but...at 15:29, I noticed Arya sneaking up on Jon underneath the Weirwood tree foreshadows Arya sneaking up on The Night King later but I didn't notice until now that their dialogue also anticipates Arya killing the Night King.
JON: How did you SNEAK UP ON ME?
ARYA: How did you survive A KNIFE THROUGH THE HEART?
JON: I didn't.
Notice how you constantly have to say "Why do they do this?" or "Why do they act this way?"
welcome to the season of new writers who don't know the characters...
I can’t wait for you to watch House Of The Dragon after you finish Game Of Thrones, and you should also watch the rest of Season 4 of Stranger Things as well

It's funny that Tyrion and Sensa must still be legally married. Their wedding was never revoked or anything.
He asked me if you would be so disappointed in the end.
21:33 Mac from It's Always Sunny.

You sense chemistry with Arya and Gendry, miss the lack of chemistry with Jon and Dany, no fire with them, one side is giving the other demanding -and taking.
There is more fire with Jon and Sansa ( not shipping ), they care, they argue, they resolve .
A just woman and an honorable man- seems to have two edges.
My take any way.
Jon is riding rhaegal the dragon named after his father.
16:30 Excuse you lol, Sansa is smart ;)
30:16 Because she is smart
Okay, I'll stop now.
Love ya :)
I’m with Sansa.. “whatever they want” no no no honey.. you are not in your home
Yeah wtf. You can't just threaten everyone like that. Dany has no political skills
The way Daenerys threatens Sansa twice this episode and Jon is just oblivious
I dont get why you cheered for Dany's "whatever they want" response to Sansa's question when Sansa asked a totally valid question especially since it's winter already...Dany's response was just stupid and snarky since her dragons literally burned down the food ration she didn't even think about the common folk while doing that isn't she supposed to be their rightful queen💀💀
Suggestion: get some over the ear headphones for the next few episodes. The soundtrack will become very important for one specific episode... you'll see...
Riding a dragon named after his real father
"I can see zero"
😬😬😬😬
They are Danys dragons but Jon is a Targaryen and if you ride one it’s technically yours since you’re it’s rider.
I can’t blame sansa for the distrust. The history isn’t good and we need to learn from the history is Sansa’s point. She did what she had to do but she has a right to mistrust though I would want her to not be so obvious. We did see her warm up to Dany, but again Dany wants to conquer the north as well when it was independent- can’t blame sansa here as well.
She questions him because she has a point- he only bent the knee after he “loved” Dany, not before. He did that with emotions.
I'm glad to hear that somebody else loves Theon. Will always be one of my favorite TV characters of all time. Because, like you said, his arc.
I can't WAIT until you watch "The Expanse"!!
