Night King be like: Burh I was not even on her list.
😂😂😂
Lol
😂😂
Or was he ...did you ever see Ser llyn payne and the Night King together !!! ..he beheaded ned and dissappeared !!!
The Merkins did a nice song. It's on UA-cam
This ep was so dark even the Night King's guards didn't see Arya coming
😂😂😂
I watched this episode on a projection screen in the middle of the day when it first aired. I couldn't see shit for half the episode. It actually looks really good on my monitor though.
You win the Internet.
Hahaha. Night was dark and full of terror 😂
@@MFBloosh Yeah, I first watched it on my computer, but I have a good large screen. I also closed my blackout curtains and had the lights off. The episode looked pretty good like that 😅
Night King: I'm gonna go kill the creepy kid. You guys got my back, right?
White Walkers: Sure, boss - no one will get through us!
Only Plotamrour will get through us
you had one job white walker number 4!!! ONE JOB!
That's why they're known as White Walkers, not White Runners ;)
@@neospock5034 More like White Statues
They're Joker's henchmen and Arya is Batman.
The most anxiety I've ever had watching a TV show... never had a show make you feel so much emotion until this show. Epic
No kidding ppl say they didn’t like the end but they confuse cause I have seen emotional damage m and f who watch this show lol
I just noticed that theon and jorah who did huge betrayals, fought the hardest for the ppl they did it to. Aww
With it nice and bright. It breaks my heart that Theon tries to look back at the Night King walking towards Bran
@@mamakat114 yeah that was sad
Jorah never betrayed Dany, he betrayed King Robert (and his successors) by switching sides and beginning to serve Daenerys.
But, his betrayal was not telling her where he was a spy to begin with. Remember he leaves when she is pregnant, then comes back. Kings Landing found out she was with child from someone. Just a thought.
@@fordhouse8b dany literally sent him away for betraying her
Don't worry, even George Martin thought Jon Snow was going to kill the Night King. Even the creator of the show got caught by this plot twist. 😵😵
Drogon comforting Dany is still one of those moments i love about the episode. Was always surprised that Ghost was in the battle. Would have preferred him in the crypt protecting Sansa.
Sansa did more damage than Ghost. He can't use Dragon glass or Valyrian steel lol why was he in the Vanguard and how'd he out lived 50% of the population.
The song 'The Night King' playing in the final act of the battle is just beautiful.
its called "the night king"
Bran sees everything, as he said a few episodes ago. He sees everything and says nothing. Useless is an absolute understatement for this character.
Exactly. I agree with you.
A good thing so many people died so Bran could become the three eyed raven. Imagine Theon dying without knowing he was a good man?
True. But if you think about it, if he says everything to everyone (or something to someone) and they avoid it than he sees all the millions of other outcomes build and it just keeps going. Cant avoid everything because other things will emerge immediately. It’s like being God but his brain will break
So Dr Strange not telling everybody how to beat Thanos...isn't useless, but Bran is? It's the exact same thing. If you tell them how it happens, it wouldn't happen.
You mean like God? I can't help but feel that the show is making a statement about the role, functions and limitations of deities here. Bran can potentially see everything but that does not mean he knows everything. He, for instance, had initially thought Jon was a Sand instead of a Snow, not a Targaryen. He's not omniscient so much as potentially omniscient. He also can see what's in the past and present but I doubt he has the gift of foresight. I also don't think he's still human enough to care whether the humans around him know what he knows.
thank gendry for giving arya the extra boost last night
Lol

"The episode was about people fulfilling their destinies. Beric, Jorah, Arya, Melisandre… and Theon" - Amy Crista Ernano
hi simone! youre a cutie! can we talk more about grumpkings, white walkers and jon snow's favourite cup of tea ? ;D whats the instagram gorgeous?
Episode does have beautiful music and that shot of two dragons above clouds - amazing.
Also saying goodbye to the best actor in the show - Alfie Allen. Theon's role was probably the hardest and he did an amazing job!
Absolutely the Best Actor
The music in this episode was EPIC! From the beginning to the end, it raised hopes, dashed hopes, left you on the edge of your seat. I'd go crazy if they got the same person to do the scores for the House of the Dragon series. I think you had the longest moments of pure silence I've ever seen in your reaction vids watching this
They did get the same person to do the music for House of the Dragon. His name is Ramin Djawadi.
Remember how much Theon was hated? This was his complete Redemption. Everybody ended loving Theon.
you need to be strong on future episodes and try not to cover your eyes or you might miss important things you have to see.
Theyve ruined about every other character but yeah
they almost did it with Jaime too.
I didn't love him.
@@grumpysocks correction: everybody ended loving Theon... except for Julia H
One of the _veery_ few things I liked in this season, at least they didn't ruin Jorah by turning him into one of them and attack his queen.
Died protecting and fighting beside his Queen. 😭💔
*You Are The Queen Of Reactions.*
Thank You!
Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field...The Night King, hold my beer.
I was SO EXHAUSTED after watching this when it aired. I cried sooo much. A tv show has NEVER made me so invested lol
When you notice the whole series was about Arya and her training to become princess who was promised - from series one, she was being trained to be able to do exactly what she was supposed to do. By her dance master - What do we say to the god of death?, through tough times, training in Braavos. Jon was just fighter, but it was necessary to be able to be stealthy, know all ways of fighting. Bran saw it and that is why he gave her Valaryian dagger to kill Night King with.
Yes! 100% with you on all of that. Jon rallied up the troops and the best sniper went for the target.
And John in the exact spot saying to Arya "How did you get in here?"
This is hotd but. There was a rumor that Jace Targaryen married Sarah snow..a bastard stark. That dagger was passed down through the Targaryen family with the secret enshrined in its blade. It’s a thought
Doesn't makes sense
All the important people survived, and they all lived happily ever after. The end.
Yeah, best to stop watching here.
I really felt we should have lost half if not most the main cast this episode. Imagine the Night Kings army arriving at kings landing?
No one in the front line should of survived the literal wave of dead. They showed the main cast seconds away from death then cut away and they're in a new location seconds away from death lol
As much as I thought Arya killing The Night King was cool it should've been Jon because of the prophecy having Arya being the one to kill him completely rendering the prophecy obsolete
When you repeated Melisandre's words on setting the ditch on fire I was worried that Winning the Pooh was going to burst into flame!
I was trying hard to control my tears
Bran : Theon you're a good mahn..
Dude 🥺 why
Wasn't that heartbreaking. Especially from stoic Bran who shows no emotion. He knew that is what Theon needed. All he ever wanted to hear. That he was part of them and good
@@mamakat114 it was heartbreaking. Because I knew he was going to die.He was forgiven by everyone that mattered to him & went out like a badass fighting for his family.
My brother look over at me you crying me no my eyelash got in my eye 😢😢😢😢
Lyanna Mormont = absolute fucking LEGEND ✊
Beyond Legend
I liked the foreshadowing from season 8 ep 1 with Arya and Jon by the tree. Jon saying to Arya "how did you sneak up on me"
So many Lil nuggets, I've watched soooo many times and still catch things.
Because she's Batman
sure sneaking up on her human brother praying is the same as sneaking up on the Night King in the middle of a war. right
The long night is the longest battle in cinema history. Watching you react is fantastic. Your emotions are so heartfelt. And during your discussion when you started to put together clues was great, great reactor.
She really is. I recall when Aish 1st started reacting to this series, some hateful people were saying her reactions weren't sincere, fake or whatever. She felt she had to explain that wasn't so. I cry, laugh & get angry with her. She is an amazing reactor. 😘
When I watched this originally I remember afterwards thinking Did I breathe? It felt like I was holding my breath the whole way through and even though I knew what was coming it still felt like that watching this. As always thank you for the work you put in keeping us entertained.
Bran had it all anticipated, he arms Arya with the dagger, in the same place he baits The Night King.
Melisandre MVP!! Lights the arakhs, lights the trench, and most importantly tells Arya what she needs to hear to go do what she does. Love her this episode.
Before reading your comment, I was just thinking... the argument could be made that Melisandre defeated the army of the dead.😄
Yeah Melisandre should have been credited in the lighting department for this ep
Agree!
I love how they needed Melisandre to light the arakhs without knowing she would come, meaning that the Dothraki meant to charge without weapons that were even capable of killing wights. Almost as dumb as the soft "brown eyes, green eyes, blue eyes" retcon
@@jake4524 indeed indeed
Arya killing the Night King gives new meaning to Jaqen H'ghar being in her life. Jaqen can change faces. If you were unaware of that, you would never be able to catch him. Or he could easily have killed anyone chasing him. Yet, there he was, in the prisoner cart heading to the Wall with Arya, begging the question: Did he allow himself to be caught, knowing he would encounter (someone like) Arya on the trip? Additionally, when Arya was training, there were several episodes and events that transcended simple use of faces. When the waif becomes Jaqen, and when Jaqen becomes Arya just as she went blind; this all implied (to me) that Jaqen was actually way more than he seemed. Perhaps he was even the Many Faced God's avatar, or even the god themself! This notion is paid off when you see that slight smile on his face when Arya tells him that "A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I am going home." One could be forgiven if they thought this was the plan all along, so she could go and kill the Night King, who was stealing lives from the Many Faced God!
Your made up head Canon is silly.
You need to be more objective.
You and I are on the exact same wave length. These are my thoughts 💯.
All of this sounds like some heavy copium.
@@perseusveil9376 true lol, also where did she jump from the tree, behind the dead that had Circled the weirwood tree
I think this was the truest definition of a reaction video. There was so much emotion that you couldn't barely get any words out! XD Thanks for a great video!
People didn't think Arya killing the NK made sense. It makes PERFECT sense. She's no one. NK was busy looking at Aragorn i mean Jon Snow, while murder Frodo (Arya) snuck in for kill for the God of death....seems he didn't like competition.
Obviously this isn't over yet. Jon kept the dead dragon busy while Melisandre pointed Arya to her new target....
You gotta wonder if this was Jaquen H'gar's intent all along. To kill the night king....
Jon actually united everyone in the battle & Dany saved the people she means to rule. And on to the next thing....
Tissues for next week too. But not nearly as stressful.
She’s not no one lol, she specifically says she’s ‘Arya Stark’ as she leaves the faceless men lmao. Also the faceless men want to kill Targaryens and Dragons, not the undead 🤣
@@NotoriousMinion yeah WE know that too but she is"no one" to the NK. Jaquen even SMILED when she said "my name is Ary Stark & I'm going HOME." And Jaquen smiles like a proud master loosing his weapon and he knew she wasn't no one as well. After she killed the waif, he was glad.
The book faceless men are completely different than the show. We still aren't clear in the books about what role they have to play & none of the citadel plot line exists in the show. Also that plot won't get cut like the show did. I def feel like there is more afoot there but in the show.. (Maybe there isn't We've been waiting how long for WoW??)....Arya is murder frodo.
@@bimmerella literally everyone is “no one” to NK. Jaquen smiling literally makes no sense. None of this makes any sense whatsoever. There is no logic to be found here.
@@NotoriousMinion Book Jaquen was not the same as show Jaquen. That storyline in the book has a whole diff meaning/character arc. In fact, you can't apply traits from book Jaquen to show Jaquen. Its something different & the above was my theory for show H'gar. I can't discuss my theories for book H'gar here. (Potential spoilers)
You've a different opinion. That's cool. For show, we'll never find out who's guess is right. Maybe not for the books either...😕🤞🤞❄❄❄❄
#IsWinterComing ??
@@bimmerella The thing is, even within the show Jaqen and Arya literally make no sense. There’s absolutely no logic to it, even if you only consider the shows story.
Also, what spoilers??? Calypso only has three episodes left, and has probably already seen the next two after this if not already finished the show… and book spoilers have nothing to do with show spoilers, since after season 4 the show and the books have almost nothing in common.
Daenerys: "Dracarys"
Night King: WTF Am I a joke to you? Who do you think I am, Dickon Tarly?
Funny that valyrian steel is formed by dragonfire. But it does not kill him.
@@azlnbstrmann1577 That dagger is special. You will know if are watching HOTD.
"I thought we were going to see a battle between Jon and the Night King"
Yep... I think thats what a lot people thought
People fell in love with the show which told them it would be unpredictable, then the same people get upset when it doesn't fulfill their predictions.
It’s not about prediction it’s about all the prophecies & magic around it. Now we are watching the “house the dragon” & realising how important the night king theme was (which the show runner completely messed it up) This was not a story about a freaking throne (which the show runners made out of it) this was about “the song of ice & fir” which was aegon’s dream & every prophecies around the night king was related to either a targeryn (which is jon) or the prince\princess promised which can be either jon or deny not arya. So arya killing the night king doesn’t make sense at all.
@@Thomas-kj1fk That’s because the unpredictability made sense in the early seasons. It shocked the viewers but also invited hindsight. As in, when you think about it the unpredictable event that happened actually made sense.
Arya killing the night king made a little sense, but not as much as Aegon having done it. In hindsight it was built up for Aegon to kill him. Everything he went through, it was personal and the writers felt it was better to subvert our expectations without earning it the GOT way.
Theon and Melissandre always gets me..... I cry every single time!!!! Theon, you're a good man! Whewww
You've been my absolute favorite reactor to watch GoT with. I've been looking forward to you're reaction to this episode since season 1. This episode is so intense. I think I went through every emotion possible watching this episode and knew you would too. Great content. Can't wait to see you finish this and join us for HotD.
Jorah was Valiant AF. The epitome of Redemption and loyalty. Same with Theon
Brans dialog to theon and Jorah’s death and the way Dany was crying broke me.
A friend had given me a 5th of Game of Thrones themed Scotch (I believe it was a House Tully label), and coming into this episode I decided to drink a shot 🥃 in honor of all named characters who fell in this episode. While there weren't quite as many as I thought there could be, I did get pretty seriously buzzed by the end of the episode. 🥴 I even drank a shot in memory of the Night King.
Arya's character arc against the Night King:
S08E01: Finds out about Night King
S08E02: Finds out Night King is "Really Bad" from Gendry
S08E03: Kills Night King.
LOL
Lols
That is brilliant.
What an absurd thing that was.
Arya don’t waist time
Translation _I didnt watch the first 7 seasons
I been waiting for this one, I been enjoying this with you for a couple months now and couldn’t wait for you to get here.
Beautiful,
You are the *FIRST* youtuber that i have watched that realized the first time that this is why bran gave arya the valyrian knife.
Bran was always able to see the future. He is a warg *and* a greenseer.
You need those 2 on your cv to become the 3 eye raven.
Bran was always able to see the future. Look at season 2, he saw the sea attacking winterfell and the next episode, the ironborn and theon attacked winterfell.
Excellent writing indeed
Sansa is right. They fought hard to gain independence for the north and Jon just tossed it away like a lovesick puppy.
Dany has been acting in a very condescending manner.
EXACTLY
And Dany says “who manipulated whom” even though she manipulated the conversation right in that moment by saying she’s fighting “Jon’s war.” That’s not Jon’s war. Battle of the Bastards is Jon’s war, the White Walkers are not. The army of the dead threatens Dany’s reign, so of course she’s going to help.
As promised with the last episode, here comes the battle stupidity. First and foremost, the onager (catapult) and trebuchet placement was horrifyingly bad. You NEVER place them outside the wall because they're too easy to overrun. 2nd, the only reason you use a cavalry charge is to hurt an enemy's morale but since they're undead they have no morale or life to lose. 3. You REALLY don't use a cavalry charge with light cavalry because they are skirmishing troops meant for light hit and run tactics and to get them bunched up in a bunch of infantry is just begging for them to get pulled off their horses and killed. 4th, there should have been SEVERAL ditches and stake lines with archers between each line and considering the wolfs wood was right on their doorstep it should have been simple to do. 5. There should have been a moat around Winterfell. They had several thousand able bodied men and women to dig it and several weeks if we're to believe Sansa being in charge of the castle prep. MINIMUM there should have been a moat around the immediate area of the gatehouses. You didn't even have to fill it in because the white walkers would have been able to freeze the water but they wouldn't have been able to stack on top of each other nearly as easily and breach the wall like that. 6. You don't have the bulk of your army outside the castle like that with the exception of your archers (who would have been protected by the ditches and stake pits and would withdraw behind the next line of stakes when 1 portion is overrun and finally into the castle when the last ditch is overrun). You'd possibly have your cavalry in reserve along the edges of the castle to perform a flanking/pincer maneuver from outside of the side sally ports. 7. If your enemy is standing within arrow range and not shooting stuff at you, you would definitely fire at them. 8. Wooden hoardings should have been constructed along the towers and bridges (again the fact that a forest is within close range and there were thousands of people to do so who were apparently twiddling their thumbs for weeks) 9. It was stupid of them to put the weakest within the crypts. Jon KNEW the night king could raise corpses but put the weakest in danger. There is more, but you probably didn't read the entire thing anyway. lol Love ya darlin
I read it entirely man. You did a good analysis especially about the cavalry charge and the most around winterfell. But what can be done now!
If George R.R Martin ever gets around to writing the battle I'm pretty sure it will be very different if for no other reason than Winterfell being a much bigger castle in the books. The battle of the Blackwater bay for instance was very different in the books, and GRRM has read enough history to know some of the battle strategies used in medieval warfare even though they are facing undead monstrosities.
Ok General Knowledge
I'd love to see your actual first reaction.
@@TheWindcrowIt was most of that because I have a moderate affinity for medieval warfare and find it VERY interesting. Not too proud to admit that I screamed at my television a few times due to the stupidity. One of my favorite battles to study is the battle of Montgisard. The battle of Agincourt is another. P.S. I will grant that siege warfare is a little bit different than campaign warfare. I would also look up Gaius Julius Caesar because that dude was a master at campaign warfare and King Richard the first (aka the lionheart) was a master at siege warfare.
The Night King expected a showdown with Jon too.. that's why he had his dragon keep Jon occupied elsewhere.
the one she had lost: khal drogo
the one she had found: john snow
the one who had loved her the most: jorah mormont 🖤
32:40 second and final time Ramin Djawadi used the piano in Got :)
Theon’s death is exactly how his speech at the end of season 2 goes
''That night she dreamt that she was Rhaegar, riding to the Trident. but she was mounted on a dragon, not a horse. When she saw the Usuper’s rebel host across the river they were armored all in ice, but she bathed them in dragonfire and they melted away like dew, and turned the Trident into a torrent. Some small part of her knew that she was dreaming, but another part exulted. This is how it was meant to be.'' - Daenerys, ASOS
''The red door was so far ahead of her, and she could feel the icy breath behind, sweeping
up on her. If it caught her she would die a death that was more than death, howling
forever alone in the darkness. She began to run.
The door loomed before her, the red door, so close, so close, the hall was a blur around
her, the cold receding behind... She could smell home, she could
see it, there, just beyond that door, green fields and great stone houses and arms to keep
her warm, there. She threw open the door.
And saw her brother Rhaegar, mounted on a stallion as black as his armor. Fire
glimmered red through the narrow eye slit of his helm. “The last dragon,” Ser Jorah’s
voice whispered faintly. “The last, the last.” Dany lifted his polished black visor. The face
within was her own.'' - Daenerys, AGOT
7:05 Let me paraphrase Tyrion's words in the brothel from the very first episode: "And this is the first of many heartbreaks"
Only just started but thank you for turning up the brightness, so far it looks great!
Arya: Sansa is the smartest person i know.
Also Sansa: I don't know how to use it. 🤪
When I first watched this, someone made a meme giving a shoutout to Melisandre and the dragons for providing the lighting for this episode.
If i was in command instead of proven leaders like jon, dany, grey worm, Jamie,etc... atleast i would have advised against charging at an enemy when you can simply hold a defensive position behind the walls with catapults and arrows while 2 dragons hold off walkers and night king. Also one of the best hand to hand fighter in the show Jon riding a dragon contributed nothing to the war. he should have been in command of defence of the walls which he was well capable of.
Yes, this is the most illogical battle ever put to screen.
Agree with everything but the Jon part
Its laughable and I know nothing about war or combat. I just know enough not to do THAT. 😂
@@izattyu6863 To be fair to you, you don’t need to know anything about medieval warfare! It’s easy logic, if you have WALLS, put men behind the WALLS. That’s what they are there for 😂
Except the Dothraki were horse soldiers, cavalry. They weren't trained as foot soldiers. Charging the dead wasn't a good idea either, the Dothraki should have been used to try and attack the deads flanks. The Dothraki were going to fight on horseback one way or the other, they weren't going to hide behind walls.
Me: I can't see a dang thing in this episode
Melisandre: Here we go, hun.
Me: Yaaasss queen.
There was a single reference to the Fire Lord prophecy referring to "the prince (OR princess) to come" - a matter of translation & commented on by Misande (sp?).
This kind of puts all the f'd up things Melisandra did into perspective. If she saw all of that coming, saw what could happen if they lose, it makes sense she'd do whatever she believed it would take to stop it, no matter how messed up, since ALL life literally hangs in the balance.
The show leads you to believe there will be some Jon and Night King showdown, but really it wouldn't make sense for the Night King to face Jon in single combat after what he saw at Hardhome, knowing that if Jon does win he loses an army of 100k+ in one fell swoop.
What a crazy episode! One of the best in all of GOT for sure. Thanks for letting us join you for this one.
Rip Jorah. He died as he lived: In the friendzone!
So true🤣
Just as well. He deserved better than Dany.
@@NovaLena22 that is such an incel like response
Sure, let's rush blindly towards evil supernatural enemis we don't even see;...D&D what is wrong with you guys?
Arya and Jon from last episode:
“How’d you sneak up on me?”
“I’m going to pretend I didnt hear you just ask me that - neither myself or the writers will tell, explain or show anything about this secret way both times I use it.”
30:08 - yes, Tyrion, it turns out that hiding the weakest and defenseless people in a giant crypt, while zombie master is on his way, is not the best idea. I just don't understand why the surprised faces: they knew what Night King could and would do.
Evidently not as it seems Jon Snow "forgot" to mention to anyone else that the Night King can raise the dead in a huge area without touching any corpses.
@@Slaskhask I wouldn’t single out Jon or Tyrion at this point, every character has long “forgot” how to be competent or interesting
@@Kasey_Barkle True enough as there were other characters present who had seen firsthand what the NK could do like Ed and Tormund.
Arya was a trained super-ninja who grew up learning all the best hiding places in Winterfell.
No matter what they say Danny was in that battle where other was not she will always be the one true queen
I wouldn’t be concerned about any of her forces, she has self regenerating armies
"Theon. You're good man."
Seriously, the best character arch of the show.
Also so glad Arya killed the Night king like that. If it were Jon, that would be like Aragorn beating Sauron, very boring.
Naah the dragon wraps it's wings around Dany and the dying Jorah, curls up, and lays it's head down next to them, and I'm a babbling puddle of wet meat. Sure it's a show but ish like that is real so, ya boi finna cry it out
Oh I know when Drogon does that it is heart wrenching
At 15:35... Sansa is absolutely right... Tyrion loyalty to his brother and sister, to Dany and to his "Wife " he be in a no win situation no matter the way he chose, and Missandei butted in to a private discussion that had no bearing on her.
Sansa is for real do you understand the situation, because Sansa does.
To bad they cut the scene out, because Missandei is only alive because of Sansa and Tyrion.
100% agree
I also didn't appreciate how they made Missandei look so catty with her little throwaway line. Missandei is a truly good person. I can't imagine her saying something so wrong and petty to someone. The writers really screwed up on that one.
@@NovaLena22 I don’t mind Missandei defending Daenerys. That’s her Queen (and best friend which makes it more personal), and if she hears someone talking bad about her, she has every right to say something.
It’s just how I defend Sansa time and time again because she’s my Queen (as well as Margaery), and more importantly, I completely understand where Sansa is coming from.
@@changingmind2522 Except that Sansa wasn't saying anything about Dany. She was actually being critical of Tyrion. She said that a marriage between them wouldn't work because he could not be fully loyal to both her and Dany. Sooner or later, it would pose a problem. That's why I said Missandei looked catty. Because Sansa was not saying anything negative about her BFF.
@@NovaLena22 I can understand that. I do agree that Sansa wasn’t trying to be petty/malicious or anything and was having a genuine talk with Tyrion. But on the other hand, putting myself in Missandei’s perspective, I see why she felt the need to defend Daenerys since Sansa mentioned “divided loyalties.”
One time this dance teacher asked the little ballerina who was just starting "what do we say to the god of death?" I'm sure nothing ever came of that.
21:25 - did Dany forget she can't be burned? She should have turned around and attacked while having height advantage. Yes, she's be riding the dragon naked the rest of the battle.
I don't think she's immune to dragon fire. Not sure though
Bran gave her that dagger for that reason. You can see a very faint smile from Bran at the Night King right before Arya appears. All of her training has led to this moment. From balancing, to chasing cats, to water dancing. And the switch of the hands Serio taught her. Jon was the catalyst in her killing him, by giving her needle and encouraging Arya to be Arya. I think he yells at Viserion because he is frustrated because Viserion is doing all he can do to block Jon from getting to the Night King. Hope you are OK.
Winter was coming for 8 seasons, and left in 1 episode!
It only occurred to me with hindsight but take another look at the scene where Bran gives the dagger to Arya. Brands demeanour struck me at the time as rather odd but seeing it a second time Bran is reticent, as if he's in some way foreshadowing what happens.
I agree. I caught that the first time I saw the series and went back to look. The second he lets the knife go and gives it to Arya, Brand has this inward look on his face like he just moved another piece on the chess board.
And there’s that look between him and the night king. He looks him in the eye and then turns his gaze right to the spot where Arya is going to strike him. And the night king gives the slightest tilt of his head as if to say, “ what have you got up your sleeve?”
@Darkstar Just observant, nothing more!
Yes.. how can anyone NOT get emotional... most I cried was at the beginning of the animated movie Up .. love your reactions and authenticity... the roller coaster is not over
Do you recall the question Brianne asked of Arya when they were sparing and Arya dropped the knife to her other hand. It was something like, "How did you learn that?"
I'm wondering if Jon's sword would have been of use in slaying the Night King's dragon.
Does the Night King even need to speak. Apparently, he can telepathically issue orders such as he did from his dragon direction the wrights to use their bodies to breach the wall of flames at the trench.
Speaking of great scenes, what about the view Dany and Jon had of the start of Dothraki charge?

I mean not the jon snow thinking his scream killed that dragon😅
Aegon’s dagger says, “from my blood will come the prince and his will be the song of ice and fire.”
The dagger doesn't say anything yet
@@pulpficti I’m just saying that lore goes too deep. When we connect pieces it all makes sense. Specially when viserys told about the prophecy in HOTD. I was like 🤯🤯
spoilers much?
@Darkstar you're so smart.
29:00 😂😂😂😂 the Shahrukh Khan pose?
I was dying laughing when you said "John throw your sword at him"😂😂😂
One of the best got reactions from you
Sansa’s comments about Daenerys have nothing to do with what is going on, but what will happen in the future. She simply stated a fact, not opinion. Even if she had kept her mouth shut, what she said would still be true.
These last 2 seasons really outline how important a competent writer really is.
i assume those first 5 seconds of "oh no" will account for the majority of commentary in this episode :^)
Loved your reaction, as always.
My favorite episode of GOT!
One thing I picked up on, after watching this episode a ton of times, Dani with ZERO combat sword experience, picked up a sword to fight for her life, where Arya's Dancing Master, Cerio Ferrell, didn't pick one up against Meryn F@#$%N Trant. How embarrassing, some poor writing there, dancing master indeed.
To think you said during season 4 that you wouldn't be crying anymore! It's not over yet, so be ready for the tears to flow
Honestly, this is my favorite episode of the season.
If we go by past episodes, we saw that Bran sees everything, so he sees future, maybe pieces, but if we go by writting in s08 then he sees past and present, I still go by past season writting and that he sees everything, that he set all of it in motion, as you said, giving dagger to Arya, stalling Night King, and being bait there, but also things that will happen later on, really don't like him because of that, but thats on writting his character...weird, not fully explained, ambiguous...for some useless you could say but still for him, and his goals, probably not useless.
Based on what we've seen in the show, Bran could see the future... In his Weirwood visions, he saw the wildfire roaring through the tunnels after Cersei's/Qyburn's plan to blow up the Sept.
After watching house of the Dragon now I'm pissed Arya killed the night king. At the time I was fine with it. Jon should have!
36:58 - has anyone else expect Bran to express some sort of condolences to the Night King?
Bran knew he was about to die and considering that NK was human, with friends and family and life, and he was forced to become this monster - maybe "I'm sorry this happened to you" would be appropriate.
Jon snow still belieces that his scream killed a dragon😂😂
I don't know if Jon knows how to order the dragon to spit fire on command.
The night is dark and full of errors.
For Aslan and Narinia
I like that refference
What Melisandre said.
_Aeksios Oño, aohos oñoso ilon jehikas! Aeksios Oño, ilon misas!_
_Kesrio syt bantis zobrie issa se ossyngnoti ledys!_
*Lord of Light, cast your light upon us! Lord of Light, defend us!*
*For the night is dark and full of terrors!*
Let's charge first without knowing what's coming towards you
And they wiped out like candles
Nothing on Earth can withstand a Dothraki charge

Best television battle episode ! Amazing all the way through
More like the worst
@@shreyanshsharma2722 lol shame you feel that way, I loved it and enjoyed it just like she did!!
@@tha_jet_king3537 how can you love it, you can barely see a thing, also it makes no sense. Wights intentionally not killing the main characters, absolutely abysmal war tactics, Night King could've snapped Arya's neck in a second but didn't, and also how did Arya sneak through dozens of wights near the Night King. It is terrible.
@@shreyanshsharma2722 you can’t understand how someone would like something that you didn’t like ? That doesn’t make sense lol have you watched this video…it’s literally a classic example of someone enjoying it. I can understand how YOU didn’t like it BUT that’s you and that’s not me. I absolutely loved it and I could see very clearly - I have a new OLED tv so maybe that’s why don’t know.
To me this battle was like Hardhome , battle of bastards and battle of black water all out together! No actual main characters really died in those battles either so I wasn’t bothered about that for The Long Night. For me it was epic and immersive. I always rewatch every now and again 🍿🍿
And for me, this is where canon ends lmao. And by that I mean, this should have been episode six, not three. I can’t watch this yet, I’ll do it probably tonight after work because I really did enjoy this episode when it aired. Though some things are kind of… “but what? Was that whole other thing about then?” and the fact that we didn’t lose anyone more than we did kind of felt hollow and unreal.
To clarify: I don’t hate the last three episodes or disagree with anything certain people did and honestly would probably have done the exact same thing if what happened to that person happened to me. That reaction was just one trauma away from happening the entire show lol
I think my issue is more that each half of this season could or should have been a short season in itself because the enormity of each was kind of… stunted, the way it happened?
The throne was always the endgame. The walkers can't be because they aren't that interesting.
@@pulpficti only in the show. In the books they have substance, language, culture, so on and so forth. They are actually beautiful and have near invisible armor and are amazing sword fighters and are actively seeking Azor Ahai to join them.
@@NotoriousMinion I read the books. There's almost nothing in there about them, like literally almost nothing. 5 books, nothing.
@@pulpficti I know I know, but it really was, for me, the more interesting conflict. Mostly because I had no uncertainties on the latter
The Night King never was the series ultimate baddie. Much of the hate on the last episodes us because ppl didn't see the ultimate villain AS a villain before... you know.
Despite the hate Season 8 gets, The Long Night is one of my personal favourite episodes from the series
in season one it was made clear dotrakhi hated sorcery... Now they are OK with melissandre magically lighting their swords
Great reaction, thanks for sharing!
John didn't light the trench because he didn't see it, and he didn't see the signal either. It became visible only after it was set on fire. Think about it.
Been waiting for this one.
