Was looking into getting the sig. I do have a Micro 9. I shoot it good under 10 yards My old eyes can’t reach out that much further. I haven’t seen an Oklahoma City cap in quite a while. I did a TAD tour for about a month on her around 1979 out of yoko. I was at Kamiseya at the time. Thanks for the info. Greetings from Philly shipmate!!
Well, I like the Sig as well. And I totally understand about old man eyes, lol. I was on the Okie city back in 78-79 so we might’ve been on her at the same time there for a little bit. Good to talk to old shipmates.
I’ve been looking at both of these. I def think the Kimber wins after watching your video. Has the better looks and after watching your video it seemed as though the Sig had a lot more recoil.
I'd pick the one that best suits me. But as you said, the Kimber felt best in your hand. Sounds like a no brainer. But for me it would be the Sig because of the ambidextrous safety, but then, I'm a lefty.😆
The rapide line has the ambi safety. But, I heard that you can put a ambi on the ones that don't have it... but I also heard it's near impossible to order one from kimber . So, I bought the black ice rapide because it had the ambi.
I have both but my grips are the reverse of yours with the hogue type on my sig. like both but the Kimber just seems to feel better in my hand. Do like the night sights on my sig but the fiber are good on my Kimber.
I have both. Sig will fire Chinese military 9. Kimber light strikes. The kimber looks better and is more bullseye, slightly smaller group. I like night sights and ambi safety
Kimber are Beautiful guns. Very accurate. But otherwise the Micro 9 is a piece of unreliable junk! I bought one because I love 1911 style actions. Big mistake! Got rid of it because it had multiple issues. First it failed to feed often. Next problem the slide would not return frequently. Buy the Sig for reliability!
Ive had zero issue with my Micro 9 the three years I've had it and hundreds of rounds though it. Runs and shoots like a champ, very accurate as well. I think you'll find as many stories of Sig unreliability as Kimber. Especially with the 938 and the 320. Although I own both and have zero issues with them either.
You have to CLEAN in. I called Kimber over the same issues. They said they ship with STORAGE oil, not shooting oil. Seems silly... but after a detailed cleaning, the slide locks and the rounds feed. I know your pain, but it's smooth sailing now
I have had zero issues with my Kimber micro 9 ESV. Over 1000 rds through it. Get past break in them polish all the internals. Great gun now for 2 years

Replace the grips on the Sig with Hogue rubber grips. The more comfortable grips make a world of difference.

I got a desert night model for 460$ from a panic buyer lol. Best carry gun I’ve ever had, super comfortable and accurate.
very true, you got a great deal, happy shooting
I wish you would have talked about the triggers. Which has the lighter pull, creep, stacking, etc. On small guns, triggers can be everything.
I can't believe i left that out and im sorry. The triggers were almost exactly the same. I just shoot the Kimber better

Have had bought as well. Kept my 938. Sold the Micro.
I had same results but sig had zero failure. Kimber is the wife

Keep kimber micro 9 you’re be safe for life 😊
That’s exactly what I did 👍

The Sig has a life time warranty, while the Kimber has only a one year warranty.
That may be but I still shoot the Kimber better. Heck I may as well keep both
My 938 shot terrible no one could group under 5 inches at 10 yards.
Where do you sell your guns?
I live in Texas we have something called Texas Gun Trader. google it.
Do you still have the kimber?
Oh yes I still have it and carry it quite a bit in warm weather.
How about the sig do you still have it?
My 938 jammed every round yesterday
@@scottschmittmusic I sold that 938 and still enjoy my flawless Kimber

Watching him shoot was scary.
How so? Other than his support grip being a little different, I didn’t see anything alarming.
Why though ?
