I'm curious what the winning bid was. Someone is certainly blessed to own it! I just purchased a 2004 DeVille with 72K miles on it. I bought it from my 87 year old 7th grade guidance counselor, who ordered it with all the bells and whistles as a retirement gift to himself. It was his "baby", and I could tell it pained him to part with it. Not only had the ashtray and lighter never been used, the back seat had NEVER had a passenger in it! Not that they were worn out, Marvin had a new set of Firestone tires put on a month before I bought it, because he said they were "old" LOL! He gave me the "old" tires and I sold them for $150 and donated it to the local food bank. :) The window sticker I found with the maintenance records showed that he paid $52,488 including over 4 grand in options. I had been looking for a good used car for about a month, when Marvin's son stopped by for a visit, and told me his dad was thinking about selling his Cadillac. We immediately went to his dad's house to check it out. I knew it would be clean, but didn't expect it to be in damn near new condition, like your DTS. I thought, "well, this isn't going to be even close to my price range".It drove beautifully, and I began to feel a little disappointed that it was likely beyond my budget. When we got back, I thanked Marvin for letting me drive his "baby", and explained that I was sure his asking price was likely way more than I had to spend. He responded by saying that the price was not as important as selling it to the right person who would take care of it. He then asked, "so, how much money do you have?". I sheepishly explained that I only had $2000 in my pocket, and that I would never insult him by making such a paltry offer. Much to my surprise, he looked at his wife (who was smiling), and said, "well John, isn't that a strange coincidence, that's exactly how much I'm asking for it"!!! I was stunned to say the least, and had him repeat what he just said, just to make sure I was hearing him right, and I was! For once in my life, I was the one who got the incredible deal. I guess the old adage of "even a blind squirrel finds a nut on occasion!" is indeed true! As I drove away, I was grinning like an idiot, and I'm still grinning! Marvin did me a huge kindness, and I couldn't help thinking that divine intervention was involved. The following Sunday after I bought the car, my wife and I picked up Marvin and his wife in the Caddy, and we attended services at their church, with a nice breakfast afterwards. Forgive me for being so long winded!
@@toasty4634 they are solid as ever. I owner 2 now, currently a 2008. When buying, get a 2004-2011 the headbolt issue was addressed at that time. Look for the Northstar badge on the trunk, stay away from the 32v Northstar emblem on the trunk. I had a 2003 & never had a problem, but better safer than sorry

are you having any problems with the car? or are they solid cars?
@@toasty4634 So far no issues. I took it on a 1500 mile road trip and got 24 mpg. Very solid car.

@Prime Artemis deville is base model for 00-05 & 06-11 base is called DTS. Any trim line is welcome; just has to be those cars
05 would definitely be the year I'd get, before that year the Northstar had that dreaded head problem
