    Do you know the difference between a struggling student and a student who understands? THE TEACHER. And may I just say, you are an EXCELLENT teacher when explaining the C2C crocheting method. I have watched some other C2C tutorials and have ALWAYS been confused on one part or the other, but you have explained this so clearly that there is no way not to understand it. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and for sharing it with us. God loves you. God bless you.

      Wow, thank you! Your kind words really do mean so much! 😊❤️ I am so happy you found this tutorial helpful for you. I know this technique can be very confusing - especially at first - and I really wanted to make a video that would be helpful for the absolute newbie to this technique. I really appreciate your feedback Mary!

    • @nanascraftyhome
      @nanascraftyhome  5 років тому

      I would be happy to help! For a rectangular blanket you would continue increase both sides until the first side is the size desired, then continue increasing on just 1 size to get to the size desired for that side. It really doesn't matter what yarn you use (thick, thin, etc.). Just decide what dimensions you want and then increase to that size. I hope that helps but let me know I you have any additional questions! So glad you found the video helpful! 😊

    Hello! Thank you so much for your excellent videos! I am a beginner C2C crocheter and of course, picked an asymmetric rectangular afghan as my first project! I'm halfway through and will have to start over as I did not use the bobbin technique (a definate must) and carried my yarns across the back. My question is this: my pattern has a definate right and left side to the design so it matters which direction your rows go in. How can I make sure that I do this correctly? When I finished row 70 (had been increasing all along), I was on the opposite side of where I needed to be to start the decrease on the right. I am going to start over but afraid I will run into the same problem. Does this make sense and what can I do to avoid this next time? Thanks!

    Question, I'm doing a c2c graphgan where it says row 1 is RS. So mine would be opposite of this video, correct? It looks better if row is WS to me, lol. But I'm trying to follow pattern. I've heard if stitches on row 1 is facing left with chain on top, then that's the RS side, but that doesn't match with this video and another I have watched. Frustrating.

    • @nanascraftyhome
      @nanascraftyhome  2 роки тому +1

      Frankly, I choose whichever side looks best to me so I don't worry too much about RS/WS. However, once I have chosen a RS it is important to stick with it throughout the graph otherwise it will start to go off. I hope that helps!

  • @MLeeBarrette

    My only question from watching you, (mostly on the decrease part) I sometimes count you making 3 slip stitches across the top and sometimes 4 slip stitches. Did you just forget to ss into the top of the chain 3 (I think it was the second to last round the first time) when I only counted 3 or am I getting it wrong? Is it always 4 slip stitches across the top? (The three into the tops of the DC and the one in the top of the chain 3). Thank you! I'm trying to create my own cheat sheet to keep in my crochet binders for future purposes, and I just want to get it right. :) Your tutorial was really thorough and I liked that you didn't speed it up too much and actually showed what you were doing for the entire process :)

    I wanted to know is there a reason why you do the slip stitch on the top of the chain space instead of the chain 3 space like I have seen on other videos. Does it make it the DC’s in the chain space look better.
