Thanks for the video, it was very well done. Gonna do this job tonight. Got a P0128- Engine coolant temp lower than thermostat set-point code on my '15 Durango 3.6L.
That is perfectly fine , it won't kick the fan on until 108 c initially. Usually after it kicks on the first time it will go through the cycle of dropping temp and allowing it to heat up again. Now with mine it usually likes to hover around 215 f or 101 c just driving around. Thanks for the feedback.
Do I have to drain the entire coolant in order to replace the thermostat? I just replaced the radiator to mine and now the code for the thermostat appears. I made the mistake by not replacing it when I had the chance when I replaced the radiator. Or do I just have to drain it from where you did and only about a gallon of fluid?
Me trying to replace one 30 minutes before close so just continuing watching the video while I wait for napa to drop off a housing cuz the old one sheared the pins that hold the metal retainer
Great camera work and great job explaining step by step what you were doing. Best Durango V6 themostat video I've found on YT!

Did it fix the issue?
You can also read the temp on that center display. It's available in one of the menus.
That was awesome. ❤ thanks man.
Thank you for the terrific feedback.
96 deg C or about 205 deg F is ideal.
I have the same problem and I changed the temperature sensor and coolant and still the same issue
The fan doesn’t work until 108 o

A lot of times I will just position the pan and let drain out , what will drain out at the thermostat. Thanks for the feedback.
Is this the same as the thermostat sensor?
The coolant sensor is located on the oil cooler. Thanks for the feedback.
