This is a very contentious vehicle for me. I had a 2018 r/t blacktop and In terms of dynamics, it was my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. It was big, comfy, fast, looked and sounded great. However, in 4 years/100k miles it went thru 3 water pumps, rear shocks (at 49k) infotainment screen, A/C compressor and idler pulley. All of these issues outside the factory warranty. This is unacceptable.
I bought a new 2011 Durango Crew. Worst car I’ve ever owned. So many QC issues and then wouldn’t start for me a few times within the first year!! That was it for me and traded it in for a Honda.
Much better! Father in law had a 2015 R/T sold it last year with 183,000 miles, took it on manyyyyy trips . Bought it brand new, in life time only had a hand full of problems, just water pump went out at 140k and 3 other things happened at 150k. Nothing major though, just regular maintenance. Because of this I bought myself a brand new one last month, hopefully I’ll get the same luck. Also gas isn’t to bad for 3 row. I average about 24 MPG. Have a friend that had a Honda pilot and he averages 21. So it all depends how you drive. But definitely get one if you can get it for a great price. Even though it’s a 3 row suv, I still get tons of compliments about it, people love the body, and the red interior I have.

I have a 2015 sxt and a 2021 r/t. Kept up with maintenance and recalls. For the sxt the only cost has been because I was hit. So, body damage. Oh, and tires because it has well over 180,000 miles. So far for the r/t, just gas and an oil change at 10,000 miles. They called it in for the back wing but I didn't need it. I had already looked it up. It's only for the SRT and Hellcat to make down force at over 156 mph. I, so wish they had an easy fix for the "race track lighting" . My 2015 is starting to get dim. Maybe I'll put a supercharger on the sxt because it has perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

Tail gate beeper not working. Misfire cyclinder 3. I think theres something else but i forget. Last year - sunroof leaking water dripping from voice mic above driver, They couldnt find why. Rear main seal leaking. Oil pan gaskets leaking. This week racetrack tail lights Completely out. Thank you dodge.

I’m on the fence about buying this 2016 R/T. I’m getting mixed reviews on purchasing it😢
Lol, was thinking about a Durango 3rd generation in Germany. Thinking might be hard getting parts. On the other hand... I thought 3rd generation, shouldn't be any major issues... watch this video: sudden acceleration and steering problems. Well that settles that problem.
Had my 2015 limited for about 6 weeks and I’ve had to replaced normal wear and tear things. So far so good but I’m scared of water getting in my tail LED light bar. I’m seeing that’s a big issue.
100% waterproof sealant it’s super easy to take out, seal and put back in! Recommend doing it sooner then later as a new liftgate lamp cost us $1500.
@@angelaknotts9127 yeah I need to do that ASAP !
@@angelaknotts9127 THATS MY PROBLEM ALSO YOU THINK THEY HAVE UA-cam VIDEO FOR THAT
Its the aluminum body parts and suspension and mds sucks on the 5'7 engine
Any issue whith the transfert case anybody??2011 citadel?
Own 2012 R/T has had issue where vehicle would stall at cruising speed. Dealer nor Chrysler did anything about it.
If it's Stellantis you know two things right off the bat. 1. It's WAY OVERPRICED. 2. It's GARBAGE.
2021 Durango RT, heated, cooled seats heated steering wheel fuse keeps blowing, even after seat control module has been replaced. If I ever get it repaired, I’ll never purchase another Dodge and I’ve been a long time Dodge owner.
2013 model. 129k miles. Transmission slow on take-off and doesnt seem to shift when getting up to about 40 mph. Removal of transmission range fuse and replacing (same fuse) seems to "reset" whatever problem, but then problem recurrs again a few days later. Any ideas?
I thought the voltage regulator was on the inside of the alternator?
2015 dodge.. Been in shop every f#&@% year.. Just went in for transmission.. Lucky we had extra insurance.. Piece of F$@&%.
TO START....OIL COOLER FAILURE(NATION BACK ORDER)DRIVETRIAN MODULE FAILURE(BACK ORDER)THE LIST IS LONG.... NO RECALLS/OR WARR
What about the random shutdowns of the 2011. All kinds of complaints but no solutions.
I drive like a granny but been in the dealer ever since I bought a durango, it's definitely a money pit
If you have the hemi, don’t drive it like a grandma all the time. You’ll get the infamous hemi tick. Gotta keep those lifters lubricated
2022 RT with 23k miles - white smoke on cold start from exhaust (head gasket) and breaks are shot. WTF?
Normal
I bought a new 2011 Durango Crew. Worst car I’ve ever owned. So many QC issues and then wouldn’t start for me a few times within the first year!! That was it for me and traded it in for a Honda.
And abs means all breaks suck
Come on....... no specs? WTF?????
i have own a 2015 and 2018 no issues ever
Biggest piece of S:$) I’ve ever bought
Why tho.... would you please share your experience?
What model you had can you share your experience
Brought to you by Ford.
Vvt engines suck in every car
I agree had a Chevy and dodge with one
I had a dodge journey before but it was a terrible car. Is dodge durango better?
That's a bummer to hear, we have had our 08 journey since new, 260k miles. It has been a great car overall.
I've never had a major engine malfunctions or anything like he's saying it to my Durango starter issue because of stopping start bulshit and a horn go out
🍿
I have a 2015 sxt and a 2021 r/t. Kept up with maintenance and recalls. For the sxt the only cost has been because I was hit. So, body damage. Oh, and tires
because it has well over 180,000 miles. So far for the r/t, just gas and an oil change at 10,000 miles. They called it in for the back wing but I didn't need it. I had
already looked it up. It's only for the SRT and Hellcat to make down force at over 156 mph.
I, so wish they had an easy fix for the "race track lighting" . My 2015 is starting to get dim. Maybe I'll put a supercharger on the sxt because it has perfect 50/50
weight distribution.
Bought a 2015 r/t awd new, has 61k, wanted to trade it in for a Gladiator, dealer said its only worth 21k… was 46k new, we’re keeping it,
The v6 in the jeep is a turd.
2018 gt bought brand new in 2019. Only has 50, 000 miles on it. First 3 yrs - Gas tank fuel neck replaced. Radio replaced, Touch screen bubbling up, started in the corner. Front of the hood, paint bubbling up from water collecting underneath and corrison starting, factory defect. Water pump replaced. Drivers side door near window molding coming off.
Sorry to hear that. We have a 17 Durango GT and we had problems with engine mounts and gasket. Blinker and headlight went out, engine light came out a few days after we took it out the lot. And now the fuse box malfunctioned while under the dealership’s care. I don’t know what to do
@@Ortizo88 it is very frustrating! This was not our first dodge or our first durango but will be our last. 40 thousand $ headache! Never had a car that had this kind of issues. If vehicles prices werent so inflated i would get rid of mine. I love it but i hate it! Damn thing looks brand new still.
@@BB_5913 same here. But I also feel that it’s these mechanics that can’t properly fix a vehicle now. Or maybe these cars are meant to break to keep the money flowing. I also love the Durango. It runs great but has many flaws
