"Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (commonly referred to as simply Rock 'n' Roller Coaster) is an enclosed launched steel roller coaster ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort and at the Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris. The coaster accelerates from 0 to 57 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds (making this the second-fastest attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort, behind only Test Track). The riders experience 3.5 G as they enter the first inversion, more than an astronaut does on a space shuttle launch." Wikipedia and Walt Disney World website

Tbh, the scariest part of the ride is watching the people on the roller coaster blast off into the darkness. It makes your blood pressure go really high.
Abby X fr
Abby X first time i saw that, i was shaking
Abby X lol it doesn’t make your blood pressure high. Only eating too much salt makes your blood pressure high.
Yes it does
Tbh that’s what scared me from riding it as a child. Since a fence is the only thing keeping you from the track, the launch is completely visible, and the screams from the riders didn’t help matters
For anyone who is nervous to go on this ride, trust me when I say that it is amazing. I went on it around 2 years ago and when I was in line, I was super anxious because of the quick start. It really does look scarily fast. Before I rode the ride I had a fear of rollercoasters, and I almost bailed out. I finally decided to suck up the tears and go on it. It was one of the best decisions of my life, because it had taught me that I really had nothing to be afraid of when in came to rides. If you ever get nervous about them, just remind yourself that they are designed to be fun, not unpleasant.
This really helps a lot, thank you 😭🌻
For me the launch just sort of knocked the wind out of me, but the rest of the ride is so much fun.
The main part for me is going upside down that scares, never gone on a coaster that goes upside down. 😭
Piper don’t be scared, i went on candymonium and storm runner at hershey park and this ride is litterally so dope you’ll love it trust me
Jesus loves u
the scariest part was honestly just blasting off into pure darkness thats all
Really
Fr other then that I loved this ride.
a real test for my anxiety lol
There is nothing generally “scary” about this ride it is just fun. I’ve been on the second fastest and tallest rollercoaster in the world and that barely even scares me anymore. I’m only 13 btw, also the worlds tallest coaster is Kingda Ka, at Six flags Great adventure. You go from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds
@Maximus Abetkov true true, Idk why I felt the need to comment that, but rock and roller coaster is almost as good as Kingda Ka, I respect the people that don’t really like coasters and think this is scary, it’s just because they are GP and I’m a coaster enthusiast
When I was in the line and I saw those people going at that speed I almost got out lol
Sameee I got scared
Yeah Ive been scared of roller coasters all my life until a couple years ago, but when I saw it, I wanted to chicken out
sameeeeee

Omg it’s so funny cuz u guys are saying my name unintentionally haha

Well it is a ride based on speeding past all that traffic
I bet the people who work on that ride hate Aerosmith
lol yea
nope :)
Jon Kimberson why would they?
Fresh air cause they have to listen to them all day
For my brother's first cycle ever at Disney, he worked at the Rock N Roller Coaster and he ended up hating Aerosmith after he was moved to a different ride, he listened to it for about 6-7 hours a day, besides his break.

you cant pass out from a launch
Sounds like a good ride!
I used to have a huge fear of roller coasters so I never went on one, until my dad tricked me into this one and told me it went slow and straight. After I went on it, I was pissed at him but went with him on it two more times afterwards bc I loved it so much. I HATE drops. For those of you who are like me and are hesitant about riding this, the beginning (bc it went so fast) only feels like a big drop. The rest it lit.
Tina Schwartz im so scared i hate drops and have never been on loops and im going on it tomorrow
Lmao the beginning of the ride caught me off guard the first time I rode it, not to mention that I also rode in the back.

Rode this for the first time last week and absolutely LOVED it. Would've rode it multiple times if I could've. The only "intense" part is the launch (which is just horizontal G-forces that push you back in your seat, no gut feeling) and a single drop that is less than 75ft in height. The rest of the ride is just smooth coasting and is a lot of fun, the loop and roll don't make you feel ill, they just make you go upside-down for a second. If you're not a coaster person, don't worry--there aren't any "sickening" parts of this ride, in-fact most of it you hardly even feel at all. If you are a coaster person, I promise you'll like this--the theming of the coaster is awesome, the coaster is incredibly smooth, and it's such a unique experience. I'd recommend this ride to anyone except maybe some small children. Honestly, when you go to Hollywood Studios, DO NOT miss out on this ride...!
@OJ Simpson Sorry about that, but did she have any prior experiences or just not too good health? The rides do give warnings of who should not go on it. I hope this doesn't stop you from going on even more rides than it already has.
When I was 10 I admitted I was scared on the part of the lunch 😅
I was just at Disney World last week for my senior trip and it’s closed until the summer. I was so mad I couldn’t go on it with my friends but next time I go I will definitely go on it.
Am i the only person who remembers Walk This Way playing on this ride (Edit: i realize now that different songs play on it at different times)
Been on it today and we had that as the song
i heard it when i went on it in april last year . i was singing it with my mom lol
I never really liked that song until I heard it in the speakers behind my head on this ride. Now I love it.
Movie Universe the song changes every time
Same here
I wish I didn't have an annoying roller coaster fear.
me neither... 😊😢
But loops that I'm scared of! What r loops lik anyway?☺
Jayne Dolinsky Really easy for you, I hate going backwards on Haunted Mansion! Seriously, I hate thrill rides like this.
+Taylor Ward honestly, the part about not feeling it is kind of a lie. You feel that you're being pulled up, but that's only because of the over-the-he's shoulder restraints pushing you into your seat. There's not a whole lot of the stomach drop feeling though, if that's what you're worried about. Although, once you realize you're upside down the loop is over.
Annikah Marquisa I'm just terrified about everything honestly. I scared of Space Mountain (I've only done Disneyland's) because it's in the dark, and I'm scared of going upside down on a roller coaster. I'm such a big baby when it comes to thrill rides, which is kind of annoying. Like Tower of Terror for instance, I absolutely love the ride, I just really hate going on it. I thought I hated heights, turns out I hate the feeling of falling more.
Honestly, this is my favorite ride. It’s so fast and you just boost into darkness. When I see them blast off, my heart rate gets high. Also, when you go on it, there’s so much air that it is pushing you back and gives you a weird feeling.
Jesus loves u all
The nostalgia I get when watching this is just... wow. I can’t wait to go back
the adrenaline on the launch is crazy when you’re actually there lmao, I’ve rode it numerous times and i always get anxious
i want to get on this again when i go back next week but that countdown makes me so nervous

I always get nervous even though I love roller coasters but honestly, the loud countdown makes it so much better.

I never thought Disney World would have these kind of rides. Real fantastic. What an awesome decoration and place. That’s rockin.
First inverted coaster I have ever ridden, believe me this is the one to break your fear. It has broken mine and I can’t wait to ride more!
…But this isn’t an inverted coaster..?
This was the first rollercoaster I went on that had an inversion. I was 10 and scared shitless, but having the ride take place in the dark made it better for me, as it was harder to tell when you were upside down. Needless to say, I enjoyed it so much that I went on it two more times!
Riding Rock n’ Rollercoaster was the day I fell in love with roller coasters, so it holds a special place on my heart.
ten years ago, when i was 7 (i was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes) i went to disney and got on this ride, my blood sugar was around 300 before i got on the ride and i actually passed out in the middle of it and my blood sugar ended up dropping to the low 60’s. so within like 2 minutes my blood sugar had fallen that quickly and i think that’s a perfect example of how hardcore and fast this rollercoaster is 😂

This ride is amazingly smooth for the company that makes the track. I’ve been on other rollercoasters made by that company at six flags and they’re no where near as smooth as this one. This is my second favorite ride in Disney World behind Splash Mountain
ProsDontTalkShit
IDK what it is but Disney some how manages to make Vekoma rides good
Adam Smith i know what it is, its called money lmao. I can imagine that disney has a lot more noney to spend on rides than places like six flags because its an entire franchise, not just theme parks :)
Adam Smith Disney doesn’t just put a bunch of slc’s and boomerangs lol
The thing is, Vekoma can actually make some pretty good rides if they have the budget, which they certainly get from Disney.
Alright! Heres my story. So I have trouble with thrill rides, I love them but also kinda hate them sometimes? I honestly can’t describe it but, basically big drops is probably my worst fear. I get a lot of anxiety when I’m in line for one (Usually I’m pressured into it lol) So for Rock n Rollercoaster, my cousin who is basically my sister forced me to ride it and I was beyond terrified. I watched a video of the lights on while we were walking towards it and I said “NOPE NO NUH UH” And my cousin said “Don’t watch youtube videos of it!” Then turned off my phone and there we were..I was so scared- Did I mention that hehe, anyways. We were like halfway in the line and I just started sobbing because the anxiety was really hitting me and my cousin wouldn’t let me look at the cars blast off (Wonderful idea) So she felt bad and told me I was gonna love it. I told her that I didn’t think so and I didn’t wanna do it, but there we were..Getting in the cars. So he started counting down and that’s when it REALLY HIT ME like that was a different type of anxious that I have never experienced before. And moral of this whole story- I was screaming “OH MY GOD!! HOLY CHICKEN NUGGETS OH MY GOD” THE WHOLE TIME. And that is the end. Btw, I ended up loving the ride and I’m going to disney in 4 days and I’m planning to ride it again even though I will most likely get anxiety so wish me luck!
Glad you did it! I have a good friend who was terrified of rides, and I told him that the hardest part is strapping yourself in. You sit down, pull down the restraint, and let the ride do the rest, Once you do that, you are good. Also, that he would feel worse if he didn’t try it and regretted it than if he did do it and hated it. And if you are scared of drops, then launched coasters are for you! No anxiety going up that lift hill lol
I have the exact same reaction !! I have been going to Disney since I was a baby and still to this day. Recently I moved and we’re back there in a few months for a family reunion thing and my family is gonna force me to go on this ride and face my fears! Absolutely terrified!! And I react the same way as you. I usually just sob and sit in the chair using everything I have in me to stay in that chair and just let the ride go and no worry about what’s gonna happen next. But I hate them haha
Great! I was sobbing too I am nine and I get very scared of these kinds of rides too! But my brother made me and I ended up loving it! To this day I’m glad I went on it I loved it so much. And I was in line screaming “NO PLEASE NO GET ME OFF NOW PLEASE LET ME OUT OH MY GOSH!!” it really scared me cuz of all the loud sounds and music and the count down scared me too!
i started sobbing in line toooo lmaooo
does it have any big drops?
Let me just say when I first rode this , I rode with my dad and I was literally crying in the line , but after I rode it I rode it again , definitley recommend riding it 👍👍
It's not even a scary ride in the slightest its just that EVERY launched coaster makes you nervous just waiting for it to launch, even if the ride is a family one
I don't get nervous waiting for a coaster to launch I think its the best part
bubbago12
It definitely is. I love the anticipation.
went on this ride about 6 years ago man it is intense goes from zero to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. great ride though.
David Monks 2.8 seconds... 21.5 mph acceleration a second.
Michael Arbios ... Go on kingda ka. It goes to 128 MPH in 3.8 seconds. That is an intense ride.
I went on an AMAZING themed superman ride at movie world in Australia. Takes place in Metropolis metro station where its breaking down and the its gonna fall and close on you from the roof. You then blast out of it just at the right time when superman comes, you blast out of their at like 0-100kph in 2 seconds.
I looked it up and said it goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 2 seconds.
3.11 to be exact.
For scaredy cats(as one myself); It is intense. The initial launch is pretty fast, and you’re straight into inversions. There’s also a barrel roll later on that’s very visible and you definitely feel.
The first part is by far the fastest and most intense. After that it’s relatively easy going through some fast bends. Due to the speed of the ride though, you’re pinned to the back of your seat nearly the entire time and the shoulder bars are rock solid. So no need to worry about feeling like you’re coming out of your seat. It does feel very safe in the restraints. There’s a little bit jank, but nothing too bad.
No big drops.
if anyone was wondering

Hello! If any of you are not thinking about riding this, trust me, this is the best ride if you don’t like drops, don’t get intimidated by the people in front of you going 1 to approximately 50-60 mph (idk how fast but around there.)but still the two loops in the beginning and the corkscrews will take your mind away. Trust me I went a month (or two) ago for the first time, I HATE DROPS! So my mom told me “you will like this ride”,”theres no drops and it’s fun” but there is a loop” ok I was fine with a loop. (There was two) but I still went on all the rides with drops! *Sorry if I have mistaken grammar I’m only 10 years old,* and I don’t go on many roller coasters... I feel weird about it cause my friends love roller coasters.. and I don’t tell them that I hate roller coasters and I’m scared kinda of them. It’s more the drops. *Anyone else the same?* ^~^

When I saw the track go upside down, I was like, welp nothing I can do now, I just gotta deal with it. Overall the ride was really fun and I would ride it again
Sometimes NOT seeing what it's going to do next because it's dark can lower anxiety. On the other hand it might raise it for others.
Other than the simulator thingy at Epcot I think it's the only one that goes upside down at Disneyworld.
Everest scared the F out of me when it suddenly went backwards in pitch darkness and fast, because I didn't expect it. I saw enough of the track outside the mountain to think it was more like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Of course once I knew what to expect afterwards, I eventually got back on it. :)
YO SAME I REFUSED TO GO ON THE RIDE WITH MY MOM and ofc she made me
This is legit one of the scariest rides I've ever been on...
It was so fucking fast. I cannot. My weave was snatched
fastest i’ve been on is storm runner, scariest one i’ve been on was probably skyrush at hershey
but this one still has hype every time
Hearing the 5...4....3...2....1! Is terrifying 😂 I love it soo sooo much
It made me very nervous the countdown 😅
That feeling you get when it first flies off still makes me nervous no matter how many times I ride it
I almost passed out on this roller coaster
Rollercoaster + great rock music? That's amazing, i love it!!!!😍
As a first timer on roller coasters...I must say the first 10 seconds of this ride were pretty intense. Scary fast blast off with a quick loss of gravity. Within a split second...you are ok. No reason
to fear this. Life is short...ride on❤
I would say the first 5 seconds because every aspect of this ride is intense but the beginning is the most and the best part
Yaaaa "rock on" as they would say on the ride.
I actually went on this ride a few times. It is honestly my favorige ride because you go up sidedown in the dark and its just awsome!
The tires screeching in the beginning....
Scary and funny at the same time
The funny thing is, while I'm watching this, my heart is beating faster and faster, excitement controlling me. I've been on this ride before, so I know the feels! You're so nervous, but then, you try it after all. Once you try, you wanna go again! It's amazing. I got over my fears with this technique.
Same! Im leaving to go on Monday which is super hype
Gets me very excited
Belle C. This ride is definitely a good one to get over your fear of coasters with
Oh maaan lol! I remember riding this ride like 15+ years ago (yeah, writing this out I just feel old now geez..lmao) and I remember absolutely loving it! Like you are just waiting for the "car" to take off ...and then IT DOOOOEEESSS while listening to Aerosmith jamming in the speakers by your ears in the dark! Watching this video brought back some great memories and I honestly can't wait to ride it again when we visit for my son's bday in November!!!! Awesome ride for sure and I'm glad it hasn't been retired!
I went on this roll at foster yesterday. It was my first time going on a loop, I was so scared and crying. But when my parents convinced me. I had a blast. We went twice! Love this ride!
Lol I'm even scared watching this
Ikr

Misspelling
The beginning dialogue: Were only just getting started. . . . five, four, three, two. one!
this is how i got rid of my fear of coasters. THIS. i was in absolute tears when my dad made me go on this, but when i rode it for the first time, i had so much fun, trust me, ride it.

LITTLE MAYUUN
Nah, Space Mountains too tame
This is probably one of the top 5 rides at Disney
Am I the only one who wasn't scared to go on this my first time? My two siblings chickened out so it was just me and my mom going on it and I was so hyped the whole time I was in line. It was flipping amazing for a first roller coaster and I was hopping around all excited like a madman when I got off. Ever since then I've been a coaster fanatic.
I'm sure it's been over a decade since I rode this thing and I still remember every bit of it. Will always be one of my faves.
What if you ride King Da Ka
This ride is great. Really the only intense part is when your getting launched. Yes, it is intense but you only feel the g-force for about 3 seconds. The rest of the ride is pretty chill, so if your nervous at the launch that’s understandable. I mean you cant even see where your going lol. But all I’m gonna say is it’s not as scary as it seems. When your in the ride it’s so fun and the launch is honestly the only intense part, but it’s so good!! In my opinion, this would be a good roller coaster for first timers. Great experience.
This was my first "flip" roller coaster. Rode when it first came out.. I got completely lost in the dark with all the lights and music like an out of body experience...epic ride.
i rode this when i was really young, in the queue i was crying my head off but in the ride i was screaming screams of joy. I even put my hands up.
I remember losing my glasses on this 🤣
00F
this just brings back memories, me and my friend sticking our tounges out and shaking our head about as we shoot off into the darkness😂 we always got the best photos
I just rode this roller coaster again. I would definitely recommend it although it is intense and it was even faster than I remembered it. That being said, I would recommend it! It is very fun once you get going!
Trust me when I say all the parts that look scary are all the best parts of the ride. This ride is incredible and there’s definitely nothing to be afraid of with this one!! I wish I would’ve heard that sooner because without my family I would’ve been outside waiting😂
The songs I heard in this - as I was watching this were: Young Lust, F.I.N.E., & Love In An Elevator...all from their 1989 release - PUMP. 😉😉😉
AEROSMITH KICKS 🐴!!! 😎😎😎
that's because it is areosmith and I loved it well in Disney land it is called areosmith
Do you know what the song in the beginning was? Well like the song playing outside the building.
First off, this is coming from someone who was super scared to go on this the first time. It's way less scary than it looks, and it's super fun. You barely even feel that you're going upside down the the loop, you just get pressed into your seat a bit. Just remember to keep your head back against the headrest, if not you get bounced into the shoulder restraints a bit.
When I was there last year somebody shouted VOLARE VIA as it sped off. Honestly never thought I’d hear a Jojo’s reference in Disney land. Made the ride soooo much better tbh
One of my favorite rides, I’d love to go on it again
