I've only been on this ride once and was too freaked out to properly take in all the details. My blood pressure seriously went up just from watching this video, lol. Ah yes the ride that makes me shake a lot for 30 minutes post-ride. For context, I have a few panic disorders and anxiety issues that run in my family so basically if I have coffee and go on a plane, I could have a panic attack, if I go on this, I get anxious bc I don’t like these types of rides. Since my mom got anxious when I started doing this, she told me that she would never take me on the ride again because I got terrified, even though I was laughing the entire time. Rock n roller coaster is even more intense and I love it way more, it must be some sort of thing where I don’t like 90 degree drops. I've heard of the tower of terror and the elevator drop my whole life, and nobody ever mentions its a twilight zone ride??? Has it always been? now i want to go
Last time I went on this very ride was in 2005, when I was a kid. It was the last time I went to Disney World before we moved to another state. Seeing this ride, on this video, brings back memories, man....

One of my FAVORITES! Told my friends I’d wait in line with them until the doors and then not get on, but alas ended up getting on. First year closed my eyes and held on for dear life. Second time, opened my eyes, third time, put my hands up! Cant wait to go back!! I love when the doors open and you can see the park down below! What a rush, so fun! Definitely recommend!
I went on this with my brother and my dad a few years back. Going up and down is so much scarier than you would think. We got a photo from the ride, in this photo I was screaming, my brother had a straight face on (you could see the fear in his eyes), and my dad looked like he didn't care.
When I was little my mom forced me on Splash Mountain despite my protests bcuz it was her fav ride and she thought I was overreacting about it “feeling icky” (turns out it was undiagnosed autism). On our most recent trip I forced her on Tower of Terror despite her fear of drops. The whole family called it “Avery getting their childhood revenge” 😂
Went here for a band trip some time ago and on the ride back, I could imagine the bus falling into a pit of…nothingness? Idk, it was really weird The ride was fun though. I had the back right corner so I actually had something to hold onto 😂
I love that tower of terror is one of the rides you can just chill and enjoy the line. It’s inside, air conditioned, cool decor, a lot of unique atmosphere. I’d go to Disney just to ride this.
Yo that would be so cool, imagine a horror themed hotel that had scares scattered around the place, like the lights turn on and off, or you see shadows or hear whispers around, and you know you aren't in actual danger cause that's the whole theme of the hotel, but you still don't know what could happen. That's fun
@@Checkmate___ Eisner originally wanted that. You'd be brushing your teeth, looking into the bathroom mirror and suddenly a face would appear! Stuff like that.

I remember this ride dearly, i was like 6-7 years old when i rode it, we came from far away to be at disney and i wanted to enjoy everything as fast as possible, including scary rides like this one, the employee there felt sympathy and let me in cuz i was like a cm below the accepted height and say that i tried hard to enter with my family. I remember this thing having seatbelts that were loose af and a mom with her children. When we started to drop i was scared but it was exciting af, my mom was right beside me and she held my hand through the whole thing, i think thats what made me enjoy it the most, knowing that my ma was there to protect me at all times. The lady with the children? They were al crying while i was laughing with joy, i remember looking back at them and the mom was trying her best to reach out for her 3rth child who was having it really hard, kid was crying all the way through the end. Last thing thats different from what i remember is the end, i am sure it ended with mickeys face, idk

This is my favorite iteration of the ride! So cool and all the set pieces are amazing. Bummer you didn't get the pre-show in this video, but I haven't been on this ride in 10 years. Hope it sticks around for many more years so I can ride it again, the lines for it were always ridiculously crazy, bizarre to see it so empty. Went to the Disneyland version last year and even though the effects were updated (I didn't care for the theming as much), I still prefer this version with the trackless carts. Way cooler engineering went into this version so it's much more than up-and-down, and the ominous ride between lifts just builds the hype and tension up more!
There was a time when it was slightly empty, I don’t remember what day but it was night and my family and I were going to go on the race band ride thing next to it but the line was super short for this one that it only took 15 mins or less
I've not been to many American theme parks being from the UK but having been to Disney and Universal twice, as well as Disney Paris... The Tower of Terror in Florida is my favourite ride of all time. Everything about it is so damn good... It's not just a 60 second drop ride, it's a 30 piece of entertainment. From the queueing in the incredibly designed building, the room with the TV playing the twilight zone to prepare you, then escorting to the lift with the bell boys being cut off mid talk as the doors close... Then the ride happens and you are so invested in it. It's just the best.

it’s weird not having people around you, ive been on and can say all the people around you screaming and getting nervous makes the ride! it literally feels like you are in a ride full of friends, man miss these times :(
I rode this six years ago, had no idea what was going to happen. When I started dropping and rising, I actually thought I was going to die. After I got out of the building, I collapsed onto my hands and knees. According to my family, I was so pale that I looked like a ghost.
I'm glad your okay
That was also me. The lady sitting next to my sister crawled and sat in the corner in fetal position where she urinated on herself😩
My fiancee had to pull me off the ride, because I had an asthma attack
same bruh. I was 6 too. I will never do it again. I came out crying bruh
Im Brazilian, never been to Disney world but my mom did, she always tells us how beautiful it is and how fun it is! I wish I can go there one day and hopefully bring my mom with me! ❤️
I think hands-down the coolest thing in the entirety of Disney World is getting to the top of this ride and the doors opening to show the park - so it's like, holy crap, you're ACTUALLY up this high, it's not a trick.
I've only been on this ride once and was too freaked out to properly take in all the details. My blood pressure seriously went up just from watching this video, lol.
It's unfortunate Hollywood Studios' theming is all over the place, so ToT seems kind of weird to have there, but it's got such amazing theming.
This ride scared me so bad it wasn’t even funny omg...this theme and a mixture of drops, ugh! But my friends forced me 😭
Leondra Felder don't be scared! It's actually really fun for me! when I tried it for the first time I loved the drops!
@@nebulaartzz oh no see, I’ve always had a fear of drop zone rides and this was my very first one and I did not like it! At least I have the privilege of saying I rode it but never again! Lol
you thought this was bad the guradians of the galaxy one doesn't ever stop moving till the end
@@josueacosta984 I know, honestly if I was to ride that one before I think I wouldve enjoyed it a lot more than this one..the twilight zone theme always kinda creeped me out, but I doubt I’ll ever get to ride that one, I live in SC 😭
So I have a pretty bad fear of heights like I kinda get anxiety just going up stairs i have a okay relationship with elevators however one of my biggest fears is a elevator breaking down and dropping so the tower of terror is kinda a big nope for me
The best ride at Hollywood Studios. I hope they never get rid of it.
Um... about that

Without a full elevator, this seemed extremely underwhelming.
I agree. I guess you had to be there.
I'd far prefer a less crowded elevator to dying of covid, but that's just me.
@@dolphingirl3698 If you were that worried about COVID, you shouldn't be going to Disney World, or anywhere for that matter.
@@SailorMoonFan92 Why do you think I'm there??? I can luckily work from home, so I haven't left my home since March. Not once. But because so many people can't just stay home, we all need to do our part to not spread it. The includes everyone at amusement parks.
@@dolphingirl3698 lol you wild.
I went on this ride when I was about four, I loved it but never have had the opportunity to go again, one day.
Haven’t you upload any videos for your channel yet?
i think this ride is what made me hate elevators, it was the first ride i had ever been on in my WHOLE LIFE i was literally 5 years old. and you might be wondering how i got on because of the i have to be a surtent height and it's because my grandpa put stuff in my shoes to make me taller 😂 i haven't been on the ride since.

Miss this ride in CA. Sure, the GotG reskin is cool, but the Twilight Zone theme was infinitely better.
GotG has more drops than this though.
@@gissneric true. That's one thing I do like about the reskin.
The Disney Corp is infected with movie marketing interns. They’ve turned Disneyland into Universal Studios.
DCA’s tower was a cheap ripoff of this one anyway, guardians is a fresh and new take that’s a lot more fun
@@banjokazooiey the idea of a GOTG ride is not inherently bad. It’s how they executed it that’s the problem
Sadly this doesn’t exist anymore in Disneyland in California. But I do like the Guardians of the Galaxy ride that replaced it

This vid brings back so many memories. All the way down to the little things like how the Hosts voice echoes from the elevator shaft and the weird eerie quiet that would fall into the elevator when the doors were closing.
Ahh this ride is amazing.
this really makes me miss the disneyland version i grew up with. not only because it’s nostalgic and i used to go all the time but to me it’s such a beautiful way to pay homage to one of the most significant shows in tv/film😌 it’s such a gem
I love Mission Breakout but MAN do I miss Tower of Terror in CA!!! This made me so happy to watch :)
I miss the tower ride, but the new Guardians ride is still fun, and has different things happen on different rides, so its not always the same.
@@starhawke380 I agree! I love the anticipation of not knowing what song and drop sequence you'll get. I went on it 5 times in one day just to try and get as many songs as possible - it's like a new ride every time. Pretty brilliant on the Imagineers end :)

"The twilight zone" LOOOOVEEE THIS RIDE OMG
I was 4 when I first rode this and it scared me for life. I’ve never been the same sense.
4 year olds can’t go on brotha
I went on this ride when I was like 7, I did not know that Disney rides can have any big drops. Almost craped myself
Best ride ever
This ride is actually really fun! I used to be very scared and nervous to go on it, but then I went on it again and I wanted to go on it again and again. Everyone should definitely try this ride!
As a kid this is the first drop ride I went on and it wasn’t scary cuz I was too busy laughing at my bottle of sprite floating in the air every time we dropped 😂
My water bottle was in my purse and it flew out lol but I caught it very quickly 🤣
My gf had an ink pen in her shirt pocket that flew up and hit her in the nose.
Ah the nostalgia. Haven’t been there since I was a kid. Things were so much better then.
Hands down this is the best ride at Disney
Agreed
This ride experience not just the thrill is one of the best I've ever been, I'm such a fan of the twilight zone so I live this ride.
That lady laughing in the background was great!!
This ride originally was dark as FK. Now watching this, its brighter than grandma's house on a Friday night. It's best at night too.
Man brings back memories, loved this ride, and glad they changed to restraints, it used to be a bar that went over your lap but it honestly felt like you would fall out of it
I remember that!
I haven't been to Disney in 10 years but I've had the joy of going 5 times when I was a kid. Tower of terror, Space mountain both are my favorites. Probably won't go back until I have kids whenever that is lol.
Anyway if you read my entire essay, you are epik, idk why I wrote this but yea

Trust its not as bad as you think. Its one of the greatest rides you would ever do. I was terrified before i rode it and now its one of my favorite rides in the whole world. Just trust the process.
I went on the Paris one and it was one of the best experiences ever
When I was little my mom forced me on Splash Mountain despite my protests bcuz it was her fav ride and she thought I was overreacting about it “feeling icky” (turns out it was undiagnosed autism). On our most recent trip I forced her on Tower of Terror despite her fear of drops. The whole family called it “Avery getting their childhood revenge” 😂
Went here for a band trip some time ago and on the ride back, I could imagine the bus falling into a pit of…nothingness? Idk, it was really weird
The ride was fun though. I had the back right corner so I actually had something to hold onto 😂
When the ride ended and the doors opened, the bellhop asked, "Checking out so soon?"
I held onto my brother the whole time I went on this. My 11-year-old self was not mentally prepared for this free fall.
NO SAMEE my brother was holding me down with one arm and the other one was in the air😭😭

I love that tower of terror is one of the rides you can just chill and enjoy the line. It’s inside, air conditioned, cool decor, a lot of unique atmosphere. I’d go to Disney just to ride this.
Seriously though. If this was a real hotel I would love to stay here.
I went to Disney just a few weeks ago and seeing all of this ride already brings back good memories
I did last week 😂
外国と日本のタワーオブテラーはまた雰囲気が違うね…!
Like a lot of Disney rides the buildup to the actual ride is just as much fun. I've been on Tower of Terror dozens of times, I've never ever seen it this empty!

I remember going on this ride for my 8th grade promotion but it was actually guardians of the galaxy themed lmao. I went on it so many times because it was so fun
This is the greatest thing. I was a lucky kid me and my family went in January/Feb 1995. We loved this ride so much. I was 8 years old
Also the King Kong ride back then in Orlando was INCREDIBLE! those of us who rode that ride know it was the best attraction ever.
