- You guys seemed to love the last $1000 Gaming PC so I figured we should do the challenge again and see what could be achieved and I’m glad I did because we have really stepped things up quite a bit.
Also BIG shoutout to Brandon at Centre Com Auburn, NSW for getting all the parts ready for collection in less than an hour on Easter Sunday. So good!
I did try building similar PC’s for $1000 at mWave and Scorptec but Centrecom just came out on top with their prices and stock availability.
I also tried doing an Intel 12th or 13th Gen build but it just wasn’t happening at the $1000 price point.

Hey man I purchased the exact same build as you, it's within my budget so its great. Only thing i changed was i bought a used 3060 ti for 380$ and it runs perfect. Keep up the work mate

G'day! Thank u for basing ur content on "Au prices". Fyi - This vid didn't show in my Au search, previous did (which u had link to this one) perhaps due to "Australia" in description? Cheers! (Edit) One thing I forgot to mention, I've had the H18 case for about 2 years, love it's compact (micro) size, good cable management, but most importantly the I/O on the front panel, rather than collecting dust/crap, like most these days. Only thing I don't like is the PSU inlet sucking dust off the desk.

Recently put together a rig for myself using mostly used parts I had found on FB market, R5 5600X, rx 5700 (bios flashed to xt), b550m s2h, 16gb ram 3200mhz, 1tb nvme gen4, 650w PSU, had to get a new case(DP301M), wifi card 6E and some rgb fans to look pretty cuz god knows I cant live without RGB lol. The overall built costed me $600, there are pretty great stuff out there, you just need to know where to look and a little bit of luck.
Very educational for when I can afford my own computer :)

Hwy mam, ive been out of the game for over 10 years...I used to work at the oroginal centrecom in Vic. Any tips on amall upgrades to this PC? Whay would you do for $500 more of you say wanted a 1tb SSD?
Hey mate, I would upgrade the CPU to the 5600x or 5800x3d and make the SSD 1tb at least but apart from that it's pretty solid. Also note if you upgrade the CPU you'll need a better CPU cooler, I recommend the AK400 from Deepcool :)

For esports at 1080p? Yes, easy. For more demanding titles it will probably be around 80-100 fps at max settings

R5 3600 + RTX3060 ti prebuilt by enigma pc for 899 on ozbargin should fit your need.
5500 is limited to pcie3 only, so do you think it will bottleneck 6700 (pcie4)

Hey man did u need to flash the bios of the b550m to support the 5600?
hey mate, in this build I used the ryzen 5500 and didnt have to flash the bios before hand, it was supporting the cpu straight out of the box, if you're ordering a motherboard from a shop and you're not sure, it's always best to ask the shop to update it if possible before receiving it. :) hope that helps!

As we are on same 5000 series line and you can see that it's written 3rd gen amd ryzen desktop ready, so i probably won't need to touch the bios flash too

In fortnite u probably used dx11 which on amd gpus is worse than dx12, dx12 could give you at least 60 fps more on fortnite
