Any chance you would come back and tell us how this worked out? We have the same exact situation in an otherwise beautiful shower and I would love to salvage it this way. If it holds up two years at a time that's good enough for me. Please let us know how it's worked out!
This is only a very temporary fix You have a shower pan leak Theoretically you can use a shower without it being grouted at all Grout is only cosmetic That’s why you have a shower pan that laps over the curb and and should have waterproofing
I would not recommend that approach. Caulk is too flexible and deteriorates over time. You would not want that under your grout. Thanks for the comment, like, and subscribe.

I think grouting the shower is the biggest headache for leaks after 3 years smh. Im so fed up redoing my shower

Did you seal the grout.
Did you also use it in the joint between the shower wall and shower floor?
The entire floor and curb. Including the seam between the floor and the wall. Still no leaks. Appreciate the comment, like, and subscribe.
