Your videos have no drama, no comedy, no gut-wrenching action and no compelling narrative ! Why do they make me so happy and why am I now addicted to them ?!?
@@TheNarrowboatExperience No drama? You jest. You finished on a cliff hanger (in true EastEnders style too) with the "Have we told them that our washing machine is broken?" Then cue play out music. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!
As much as I love these narrow boat videos, I have to agree with an earlier comment....the music isn't necessary. I'm not saying to cut it out totally, it's just that most of us watching will never live this amazing lifestyle & the sound is as important as the vision to us. Anyways, that's what I do be thinking!!! 🤗 Sorry if it sounds overly critical! Love the videos!!!😃
If I recall your creativity is around maintaining alot of the functionality of the vessel you two are sailing, so everyone has a job and it appears you two are well adapted for the roles that you have...thanks for sharing...Vic
Hi Anna and Kath! Love your videos and even better that it’s the two of you again. Keep them coming. Great watch x Oh...... forgot to mention, Anna, thank you so much for your kind comments about my fledgling channel. Very much appreciated. Neil x
Much appreciate all that hard work getting those prints arranged and sent out. The one I have gives me something to smile at while I am stuck in my fabric covered box at work.
You are both talented..just in different ways. Anna is creative and emotional. You are logical. Your brains are wired differently. So you think differently.
Such a surprise seeing you and the new paint job emerge from Marbury lock as we were heading up. A week later we came across Michael, Jo & George at Wrenbury, as THEY were heading up. Such a 'narrow' community, yet with word-wide fans. Thanks for sharing! Robin & Trudy, nb Beeston Castle. (Canadians Afloat).
7.25 great look at the new paint job. Looks very good, you did so well painting it, better than what I would have, I get more on me than what I'm painting.
That cruise looked lovely and the sun was shining even though Anna needed her great scarf. Th3 boat is looking really great you both must be so proud of yourselves. Thanks as always for sharing your adventure.
I ❤️ my 🌈 neck cozy. I ordered several to give as 🎁 as well as one for myself the last time you wore yours. I ordered from Birdsong Arts and Crafts on fb, they arrived to America in short order. I’m looking forward to gifting several to friends at a reunion in August in Michigan 😎

Vixens, you never let us down. Brill vlog. Lovely pics of the "old girl", and the boat looks fantastic too😂. Boat skills tuition from Annamarie, admin from Kath, its a boat in harmony with the universe, or so it seems on camera. You two are a dream on the canal, Sunday doesn't come quick enough for me. BTW, just come off the Ashby yesterday, and it is very safe to say, you did a great set of vlogs on it. Exactly like you painted it. Except, I came across that David, practising his 'going forwards manoeuvres', Anna, you need to get hold of him again or he'll go off the straight and narrow 😂😂. Hope your keeping well. xx
Good idea Kath, checking stoppages! May I suggest you try reversing and steering without going forward at all, it works on yachts (if it isn't blowing) and I know the Minimalist's can do it quite well!!! Just takes practice and calm.........
Who is this new found confident Tiller girl, who is even giving instructions on how to do it 😂. Well, Anna you had a great plan too bad it didn't workout the way you wanted, better luck next time. Is that the first time we have seen Kath out working the locks without her cap on? wow, only 5 views and I'm first commenting, I hope. 😁
Oops, a little error there 😂 Because I tend to stick to the Norfolk Broads I don’t know much about canals and locks but I do have to worry about tides and low bridges and wouldn’t be the first time I’ve made an error and failed to complete a planned journey because I got the times wrong and can’t get under a bridge. But I find that’s one of the best things I love about river time on the Broads, it’s all so sedate and slow paced and perfect way to escape to hectic chaos of living and working in a major city. I never make plans now, instead I only have ideas for what I’d like to do and take the day as it comes 😍
You would just have to screen for other introvert lodgers who also love cats and may just want to paint and dream for a day or two!!! I'd sign up in a heartbeat! :) Cheers Ladies, lovely video as always!

The cill is the base of the upper part of the canal. This is where the upper part of the canal ends and the bottom part of the lock is where the lower part of the canal starts.
My understanding is that it contains the lock and lock gates and is the step down from the canal floor. Someone else may know more though, or tweet CRT they know heaps.
the cement or brick cill area seals the bottom of the gate, they extend different lengths into the lock depending on how the builder saw fit, usually two or three feet.
Is it difficult to paint when you are on board, I was thinking when you are just about to make a brush stroke and another boat goes by and creates a swell. Do you suddenly slip and have to start again.
this vlog isn't in real time, with editing and working we try and get the vlogs out once a week. that means we have often moved on by the time they are released.
Hi, I see you have the same weather as we here in Ostfriesland (East Frisia= north-west of Germany). Have you boat people already fulfilled your civic duty today and were at the Europe election? ;-)

What are the little pins on your caps?
Hi. Anna, you mentioned the cill in the lock, what is the actual purpose of it ?.
I also noticed on the one shown, a cast iron escutcheon to act as a protection to the cill and also help you slide back off.
I think you have it wrong if the front of the boat is on the sill surely the the front of the boat will be higher as the water goes down?
Is it difficult to paint when you are on board, I was thinking when you are just about to make a brush stroke and another boat goes by and creates a swell. Do you suddenly slip and have to start again.
God bless the dispatch fairies! x
