No, a house manager normally is responsible for hiring of staff to provide the upkeep on the home , as well as stay on top of the maintenance. Say if sprinklers are broken , they would hire someone to take care of it . They are responsible for the home basically. Usually movie stars , and people with money who have multi million dollar homes , do not have the time to spend on the day to day upkeep of the property.

I had an issue with hoarding, I think it comes from growing up with not much, you feel like its wasteful to throw things away. But there is a lot of freedom that comes from decluttering. Also, with the things you don't use or need, you can bless someone else by donating it to a charity that helps the poor :) so its not wasteful to declutter by donating.
This reminds me of that one episode in "Maid" where she feels sorry for the girl and keeps on cleaning (except ur rich af and she couldn't afford to pay more hours)

my mother was a hoarder terribly after my dad divorced her when i was a 2nd grader. i’m 30 now and she has her moments, but on the whole she isn’t any longer. I definitely learned the emotional response of “life in turmoil/mental health crisis = shop shop hoard hoard”. Exactly. Hoarding is on such a deeper level. There isn’t food containers and piles of animal feces or a toilet you can barely get to. She just has a lot of stuff. It just needs some organization and like she said.... it’s a work in progress. I literally had a room filled with stuff from my childhood, my oldest sons old clothes for my two year old to grow into. Stuff to yard sale and such. I live in a trailer and have very little places for “storing” stuff and a shed is out of the question. The bugs are awful where I live. In the country. Idk why people are downing her for this. They don’t live there. So who cares?

I had an issue with hoarding, I think it comes from growing up with not much, you feel like its wasteful to throw things away. But there is a lot of freedom that comes from decluttering. Also, with the things you don't use or need, you can bless someone else by donating it to a charity that helps the poor :) so its not wasteful to declutter by donating.

honestly, this makes me feel better lol. bc i’m definitely not a hoarder but my closet is an absolute mess bc i have sm stuff in there n i always feel super embarrassed about it even tho literally no one sees it. this makes me feel less alone lol. one day i will reorganize the whole thing, hopefully soon, it’s jus hard to get the motivation to start stuff like that.

my mother was a hoarder terribly after my dad divorced her when i was a 2nd grader. i’m 30 now and she has her moments, but on the whole she isn’t any longer.
I definitely learned the emotional response of “life in turmoil/mental health crisis = shop shop hoard hoard”. You honestly don’t realize the extent until you are forced to look at the situation as an ‘outsider’ by family/friends etc. how it usually goes is that I attach sentimental value to worthless items (aka consumable items vs heirlooms) If it’s on clearance IM BUYING IT periot - cause you know ‘i can use it someday…’ If you don’t know hoarding, that sounds crazy. It’s a messed up way of living/dealing with trauma.
