mrsnolan01 actually foundations only have a shelf life of about 2 or 3 years. The little jar open jar on the back designates time from opening which can be anywhere from 6-24 months. But it is not recommended for using a foundation for longer than 1 yr. Powder products do last longer

When she said “it’s ok to keep if you haven’t opened it, since it’s the air reaching it that creates bacteria” and then Trisha throws out stuff in the original packing. It’s like she didn’t hear her sister say that and was on autopilot. Oh well, she wasn’t going to use it and it would’ve collected dust in her new place. but .... like people said, she could’ve donated the makeup still in the package/never used.
