  • Healers going into Dawntrail defintely don't have their damage kits balanced at the same level of fun. Sage undeniably has a MUCH better damage kit than Scholar for example and this is something that definitely is a pain point for me as a Scholar main. Why does Sage get Miasma 2 and Scholar doesn't? Why not add it to Scholar before Dawntrail?

      @@Piper0185 not even, they didn’t do it for damage, they did it cause kardia. You didn’t get a damage tool in eukrasian dyskrasia, you got a healing tool, especially with soteria being 60 seconds, conveniently the same cooldown time as the new ogcd.

      Nobody cares about Scholars. They have fairies do all the work. Just make and use macros and you’re done.

    Energy drain was supposed to be removed from the gain. They only added it back after much moaning from people overcapping their gauge, even though that same thing happens to sage and you need to toss random Druochole only for the MP.
    The whole A has X, why doesn't B have X? Is something Yoshi brought up as being one of the reasons we ended up with homogenized kits. Lets hope we get more damage buttons in the future for sure, or just play DPS if you want to DPS so badly xD

      totally agree with this. I remember some time at the start of Endwalker (or Shadowbringer)
      that DEV nerfed the damage potency from E-drain down to 100, from 150
      Intentionally in hope that raiders won't throw all their gauge into bursts and fail at the damage that come after (I guess)

      The game doesn't require us to heal so of course we're bored with our DPS rotations. It's all we do. A Whispering Dawn or Asylum can solve literally everything lol.

      I miss Aero III. It was the one WHM spell that made everyone go "whoa!" the first time they used it, I want it back. SE can always make it overwrite Dia if they don't like WHM having 2 dots.

      Techincal reason outside of Button bloat is that there was a limit to how much the battle system could track with buffs and debuffs in a fight. Certain high level duties could easily reach that limit and stuff would get erased before it expired. Basically what happened is that debuffs were scaled back from every class having 2-5 of them is all classes have 0-2 (maybe a third in a rare case) and a few Buffs were removed or combined.

    Thing is, I don't really feel like Sage is winning either. Is it better than the others? Sure, but an extra attack every 30 seconds and 60 seconds respectively is very insignificant. Eukrasian Dyskrasia being a second DOT of 30 seconds doesn't really equate to the experience Scholar offered in the past, because old Scholar had an 18 second DOT and a 24 second DOT, while Miasma II was not an uptime DOT, but a movement/weaving DOT with a 12 second duration.
    This treatment really isn't enough to offset the otherwise boring Dosis spam, so it's sad that Sage is being seen as a winner when all it won was an extra few crumbs of bread. #FFXIVHealerStrike

    I think it's great if they have healers with varying levels of healer complexity for their DPS. I'm a horrible healer but sometimes I just want to get the adventurer in need queue time.... so I play white mage because I know it's got so many more "oh shit" buttons for burst healing, and it's too complex for its damage kit so I can still focus on watching healing.
    it's the same as with DPS, some jobs are incredibly simple, some are very complex, so I tink it's good if healers have similar varying complexity levels

    All healers damage kits need expanding massively. Spamming glare endlessly 95% of the time during raids only healing with off gcds is boring AF. Theres a healer strike post on reddit about a forum post talking about healer dissatisfaction. They either need to add random damage or more damage in general in so healers need to actually heal a lot more, or give them more damage skills and half a damage rotation, or SOMETHING along those lines. 3 glare 4s every 2 minutes is still absolutely fuck all and doesnt stop the boring glare spam.

    Genuine question, how is Scholar supposed to keep up on damage with everyone else? It seems like a roll of the dice with Chain Stratagem to potentially match the other healers.

    with the glare 4s, whm no longer really has to spend lilies for mobility during burst window, which would be really nice to have for things like superchains etc. so it of course will feel nice but also you no longer have to think about the tradeoff between saving a lily for mobility but slight dps loss in burst

      since the whm shielding ability is locked behind temperance which is a 2 min skill it might just become the default to pop temperance and the shield right before each 2 min burst and excuse yourself of any further healing until burst ends, unless you have to do something more elaborate lol

      @@NotTheWheel oh yeah thats nice! if you see the tank pop some bigger mit you can start with the glare 4s if those are up so the mit and holy stuns dont go quite as much to waste

      @@DaikyAdarkym not just test potencies, but also how the healingrotation fits within the fights. But I do still think it is going to broken in the right hands. They did say they wanted to make DT a bit more challenging so I am very curious to how that will manifest. So far, the only real issue I have had with solo healing, is getting a constant party (currently only 6/8 steady people for My P12S wIth 6DPS runs for example).

    Glare IV being instacast and on the GCD available during 2 mins is huge. Keeping uptime during bursts (pinax, superchain...) is currently a pain point for whm. It's definitely not going to feel the same.

    Food for thought, what if they gave SCH Bane (to spread Biolysis) from old SMN, with the addition of a 10% DMG down debuff on a 60-180 GCD?

      Another food for thought: so, the whole combo-ing a dot off of chain strategem is just . . . weird, right? Wouldn't something like this make more sense? "Upon execution of Chain Strategem, action changes into (combo action). Activating (combo action) before Chain Strategem expires executes a high potency attack on the target, and half as much on nearby targets, then ends Chain Strategem duration." Thoughts?

    As someone who *only* plays easier content I will be healing as a SGE in DT I think. I have prefered SCH until now (maybe its the hat, SGE artifact gear looks awful on femroes too) but looking at these changes, SGE just seems like a clear winner for fun in dungeons and normal raids.

    Aren’t these potency stats from two months back? Not saying you’re wrong, just curious because I’d thought the media your build potencies were labeled as very much ‘not finalized’
    But dear god Aetherflow being 100 potency at this point would be silly.

    What if they bring back Miasma and rolled old Bane effect (dot spread) into Energy Drain? That would add only 1 button but IMO it would make the job a lot more fun in dungeons to have dots again in big pulls. They can always take potency off Broil or AoW if SCH having 2 active dots is overpowered, those spells are lame anyway.

    Something I’ve been saying multiple times:
    I want a mini-Chain Stratagem on a short cooldown, call it Identify Opening or something. Have it boost Direct Hit for a low amount on a low cooldown.
    SGE can have big blasts dots. AST can have their buffs (lol, just kidding, not even SE wants that). WHM can keep crying to feed their blood Lily.
    Let my SCH be a debuff strategist.

    Like, what if Emergency Tactics changed AoW into Miasma II? Wouldn't that be a nice and easy change to make that would make SCH more on par with SGE and also have a more interesting use for Emergency Tactics that would add an interesting choice to make in the heat of battle? And I know we have Ruin II (speaking of which, I was really hoping for an upgrade to that if for no other reason that it could use a fresh coat of paint) which makes up a lot of the lost dps other healers suffer during intense movement phases but like, that _can't_ be the only thing. I feel like adding a damage buff to Dissipation would also make it more worth using. It doesn't even need to be much, just like, 5% but it would still be something that would make it worth weighing the choice of using it on CD instead of at the end of trash pulls or in an opener.

      I'd love that train of thought! But I think specifically emergency tactics with it's 15s cooldown wouldn't work because I'm pretty sure we'd use the cooldown for damage 100% of the time and wouldn't save it for heals so I'm torn on specifically emergency tactics but I love this line of thinking. I'll need to think more on it. Because Emergency Tactics is such an awesome ability for a pinch so I wouldn't want to specifically use ET for more damage cause we'd always throw ET out for damage but this train of thought I like a lot.
      I'm also torn on a damage buff on dissipation because we'd always have to pop it during an opener (or be pushed to do that even more than tbh we kind of already are) which would remove it as potentially being used later for a barrier [because it's hard to argue dissipation's 3 energy drains in an opener are or aren't better than using it to avoid a mechanic later-- it's a nuanced conversation worth having I think but I'd need to really wrap my brain around it]. Because yeah as is dissipation is most often used by me for energy drain stacks unless I have some set point I want to barrier amp or aetherflows but overwhelmingly it's a DPS button for me... small as it is @_@; or like you said end of trash pack pull in dungeon for aetherflow refill.

      Scholar was and has been a better choice than Sage for all of Endwalker so I don't get what you mean by "on par".

      @@Spookybluelights I honestly think it's fine that Sage has an aoe dot but not Scholar. Scholar has a crit buff and far better passive healing, With the angel mode it prob is just a better healer overall and has a buff. Sage needs to bring something or Scholar will always be the choice. I'm glad they chose to do something different rather than just give Sage a crit buff or something similar.

      @@ColeEvyx I get where you're coming from but that's what I meant by making ET be a more meaningful and purposeful thing to use. I always thought SCH worked best or was at least at it's most interesting when you had to make choices between dealing damage or providing support, it's why I miss Shadowflare. Wait, you know what? Just give us Shadowflare back. I could live without Miasma II if I had Shadowflare and would be forced to choose between that and Sacred Soil. It doesn't even have to have the slow debuff and can cost Aetherflow. It still wouldn't be the same as having Miasma II back, but if it shared the 30 second CD of Sacred Soil then it could be used often enough for it to feel good and also not be the same thing as what SGE has so that they keep separate identities.

    Sage may get these high graphic options to live out every healer's request to have more dps buttons, but do they have a decade-old single target splash animation that they get to weave in t h r i c e a minute?? I think not!!!
    I'm happy to get one extra button to click on scholar and I'll cope on ast with the fun buttons to click, but I'm a little sad scholar is still a weirdly mishmashed arcanist job's leftovers. Still gonna be one of my mains, and I'm not particularly upset about a lack of extra dot management. Sometimes I just think about how going through msq is playing with NPC's who top off your health every 2 hp and how my choice is to play a job I like less in the moment or just mash one button.

    I wouldn't say that Eukrasian Dyskrasia is anywhere close to how Miasma II used to be on SCH. The only real similarities they have are the melee range limitation + being DoTs
    Aspects that made Miasma II interesting to play around were: Heavy MP cost (forcing you to consider whether or not it was really worth to use under certain situations), it was only 12s (not something to always refresh after a diff DoT, unlike E. Dysk), it did less than Broil II (200 M2 vs 230 B2; it was not optimal to maintain), and it was mainly used as a weaving tool to get off Deploys, Indoms, EDs, etc. (not really needed with 1.5s base cast on Broils now)
    Eukrasian Dyskrasia will just be another DoT you use all the time if it can tick the full duration. "Is the boss gonna be up for another 30s? Y: Apply. N: Don't"
    Miasma II had more considerations. "Should I wait a bit so I can double weave Indom + ED?", "Do I have enough MP to sustain? How is the BRD/MCH we have for MP regen? is Lucid close? Will I need to use successive Succors soon?", "Is it worth to just clip the Broil since Aetherflow is so close now?"
    It was even good for look-away mechanics since you had 2.5s casts and SCH lacked anything like Phlegma/Toxikon (which are notably DPS neutral or positive whereas Miasma II was a DPS loss from a direct potency to potency comparison)
    At the shallowest comparison, they are similar, but I highly doubt Eukrasian Dyskrasia will evoke the same situations/thinking as Miasma II did

    Astrologian is in a good place rotation wise in my oppinion, endwalker added back lady and lord and buffed the hell out of earthly star. Astrodyne felt kinda weird and never realy chased 3 arcanas cause the reward for it was meh, but I wish it would come back as a pure buff you just get when you draw.
    Sage is the degree of complexity I want from a healer, it should be the standard, nit the exception.
    Ever since I saw Fire 4 I was sooo curious how would its whm counterpart look like and Glare 4 certainly didn’t disappoint, visually its Misery of course. White mage’s complexity lies in the lilies, they are dps neutral heals at worst(at worst you ignore the blood lily) and aoe nukes at best. POM turned into a slightly more versatile “lily window”, time will tell if its enough, but I still want Aero 3 or Dia 3 just for the looks.
    Scholar getting an extra beefy aoe dot is pretty intressting, but the only area it brings some complexity into is gearing, I’ll try building spell speed just to make its dots realy strong

    I feel like they need to work out some things in DT, at the pace things are going, Healers are literally going to become obsolete because of Warrior, I mean, Warrior and Paladin have already kinda made Healers obsolete in EW in high end content (I'm sure everyone remembers the TOP clear on patch without healers)

      if a tank can hold all aggro and self heal to full over and over then the loss of a healer is irrelevent when anther dps ensures the mob pack or boss dies faster than the cooldowns come back.

    I think they mean to seperate healers into 2 DPS types: own DPS, and raid DPS.
    That's why WHM+SGE got more of a damage buttons to press while SCH+AST got less.
    Healer with Raid DPS then go along better with 8+ man content (if raid allign raid buff xD)
    and Healer with Own DPS will go better with any other content (4 man dungeons, solo contents)

    I think it’s pretty obvious that Sage has no 2 minute dps skill/raid burst window skill. If it did, it probably would have had a combo action added on, just as the other three healers did. Eukrasian Dyskrasia is clearly just the workaround to counteract this.

    At first I was disappointed that Dissipation didn't get any changes, but then I paused and asked myself why I was disappointed. It's not as though a skill that dismisses the fairy for a healing boast and Aetherflow is a bad thing. But because of Energy Drain, Dissipation becomes a healing cooldown that's masquerading as a damage cooldown. That's the dissonance that makes the skill so weird.
    Sidenote, I've never liked that Energy Drain costs Aetherflow. I'd rather it work like Summoner's Energy Drain, granting a stack of Aetherflow and changing Ruin 2 to a Scholar specific version of Ruin. If we have stacks of Energy Drain, you could choose where to use them. You could then rework Dissipation to grant stacks of Energy Drain instead of Aetherflow. I know Scholars want a DOT focused DPS kit, but there are other options too.

    Maybe they thought that because SCH can heal circles around SGE, then SGE should be better at damage?

    Tanks not having their sustain and mitigation abilities nerfed is also a concern. We may heal less this expansion.
    I don’t want to be forced to do higher level content just to heal more.

      Every healer pretty much have the same mentality to higher level content anyway because it suffers from the same problems. The worst part is that it doesn't get any more interesting to heal because you want to be using your DPS attacks as much as possible to meet enrage checks. The optimal gameplay for high end content is that you don't want to heal more in harder content and you want to do that monotonous DPS gameplay, just forced to do so.
      Healer shortage on PF will most likely get even worse now and for good reason. They can wait another couple of hours to get those PF slots filled up, because I certainly won't be helping.

    Ngl, praying that the healer classes don’t get homogenized, even in the little aspect of a DoT. I feel like identity is one of the most important things due to the fact that you can just “pick the other healer” if they’re so similar. Like stated, it’s good if you want to take sage into expert since they’ll run it faster with better damage contribution. Amazing even. When you want to prog or have a fight that you’ll need more of SCH’s kit, that’s great too. Different healers should be used for different things/people/difficulty/playstyles.

      And no hate, for sure, I hear a ton of people go “x job gets this, why can’t we?” Well because it’s a part of x job’s identity. There’s QoL sure, like our roles or gap closers. Beyond those sorts of things, any healer can just do anything and all become stale

    Iirc, the original reason they removed it was bc “its too hard to heal and maintain multiple dots 🙄”. Clearly its not. Im not upset they basically gave miasma 2 to sge, im upset that in return sch gets an (albeit strong) dot you can only use every 2 min that lasts . So thats what, 12.5% uptime?

    Scholar gets a fairy who can heal for them anyone that has taken damage. Sage gets an ability to put on ONE person to convert some of their DPS into healing that person. Sage gets more DPS to convert that into that healing on one target to equal what a scholar fairy can do - but fairy can and will automatically do it on anyone below a certain level of HP. Not everyone HAS to be identical

      It just looks horrible. I’d rather I have a “noulith” Seraphs around me and every time I used Accession/Manifestation, they fly off to do their thing.
      It’s an instant GCD, so it’s easy to prevent weird animation like they did with SGE.

      I think you're missing the point a little. There are sort of two layered complaints I see both here and elsewhere. As far as the new Sage ability goes, the complaint is that it is almost the same as an ability taken away from Scholar. The more broad complaint about healing in general is that it's just not engaging in normal content, and the learning curve for savage content is steep because suddenly you actually need to know what your buttons do. I feel like scholar especially has felt pretty shafted after 4.0. The job comes from a DPS and up to Shadowbringers it kept a lot of that DPS feel.
      That said, I agree whole-heartedly about healers not needing to be the same! That's why I would love to see them gain more DPS options in general, so that there is enough room to give them more personality!

    As much as I love playing Scholar, all the changes Sage gets I wonder what’s the point of playing Scholar when Sage has so many DPS options on top of being a barrier healer that has insta cast shields all the time. I shouldn’t have to wait 2.5 years just to see if scholar gets something else in terms of damage rotation.

    -I feel that. I am main ast , but I only play whm on current patch ,lol. why do more when you can do less and get the same result.
    -SGE currently has lowest dps(beside AST), so it's rightfully so to get a double buff on dps.
    -Still they haven't nerf SGE+SCH it's gonna be broke next expansion as well.

    Square either needs to reevaluate the healer's kits as a whole if they aren't planning on either increasing the amount of healing we do, or increase the amount of plates to spin while not healing. Otherwise, they're gonna need to seriously lock tf in when it comes to this legendary "encounter design" that they promised us. I guess we'll see when the expansion launches, but my hopes aren't high.

    They seriously just need to redesign healers so that they spend their GCDs doing a satisfying (not complex) DPS rotation, and only heal/mitigate in big bursts in response to appropriate raid mechanics with their oGCDs.
    This would mimic how tanks are mostly just DPS with oGCDs that provide extra mitigation/sustain (plus some level of built-in mitigation/sustain to their filler buttons).
    Healers would be MUCH more satisfying to players who currently DON'T heal if they looked at healers and it seemed like they were looking at a DPS that has the secondary job of keeping the party alive, instead of healers that do damage when they have nothing better to do.

    I just don't think it's a big deal overall...like, Sage has an extra button. So what? Having an extra button isn't more fun; it's how the button interacts with the kit that's interesting, and Psyche doesn't interact with anything - it's just another thing you have to weave in every 60 seconds. I love FF14, but at the end of the day, healer DPS rotations aren't exactly deep, and adding in more buttons like how things used to be doesn't add more depth, it just adds more complexity.

      Gotta hard disagree. The fact that tanks and dps can self sustain even better now means were healing way less. Having 2 or 3 different dps buttons to cycle between is boring as hell. Having more buttons to press can mean a world of difference for most of the content that isnt savage, I wanna be able to have fun outside of hard content.

      Don’t forget that you still have solo instances in this game. Are you really happy with 3 skills to damage with and really no unique ways to interact with the npc enemies? The gameplay experience between the roles can’t that disparaging for choosing the job most opt out of.

    So my question is why is this necessarily such a huge deal? Is it because of progression fights? I remember when Sch was considered the "DPS" healer, but that's mostly because they had Miasma 2 in a world where we didn't have to define healers the way we do now. Scholar and Sage have different kits and are on different ends of the shield spectrum. Scholar has more raw HPS than Sage does, but Sage does bring damage because I mean we have literal guns.
    In any case, why not just another summon for sch that gives you some more damage to trade for healing

      @@FragileEgo Yeah I guess their single target HPS spells DO skew things but Sage has *half* the parses that scholar does in FFLogs which inherently skews data. Nevertheless if SCH shield mitigation is better than SGE, why is damage a bad way to differentiate these classes?
      If a sage has to go through a 3-5 Ability Combo to get to what you can shield easily, why is anyone tripping over an additional dot going to Sage if sage needs the uptick count for not only Kardia but their new party wide healing buff?

      @rizoricos didn't say it was a bad way to differentiate classes. and the single target has nothing to do with overall HPS. When playing the jobs properly sge just has significantly more free healing than sch and their healing generally having higher potencies. Mitigation is better than raw HPS anyways and I prefer SCH but SGE heals way too much and they're making it even more raw HPS focused next xpac.
      Also I think you meant SCH has to go through a "3-5 ability combo to get what you can shield easily" but you said sage.
      Also, not sure what you mean by "if sage needs the uptick count for not only kardia" since dot ticks don't trigger kardia only the initial damage application (i.e. the hit of e.dyskrasia would trigger kardia but the dot ticking would not)
      I don't think you have a bad take, you're saying damage can be a differentiating difference between healers and that's valid. People can agree or disagree as they wish, but you sound actually crazy talking about the jobs. Just stick to your main point instead of trying to justify it cause you're just muddling your point.

    I have to disagree. As a console gamer Scholar is already extremely full of buttons. (I am using the 32 active buttons settings because otherwise it would become unplayable for me) I have no rescue on my Bars and I will have to heavily think how tf I can make scholar work come 7.0 with even more extra buttons. There is a limit yk.

    Be rude and blunt. Why would you take anything else over Sage? There's no reason other than aesthetic. It's the highest damage, the one with the deepest kit, the one with the most engaging kit, the one that rewards DPS, the most flexible kit, etc. etc. Scholar is more work for WAY less reward lol. It's simply inferior. Deployment Tactics is not needed for anything.
    Not sure why you like Seraphism though? Like, I don't really see myself using it for anything other than the regen tbh. Why would I want to GCD heal on Scholar? I would love to understand what excites you (besides the regen)

    Honestly? I'm a healer because I like supporting my allies and DON'T like DPS rotations. The only DPSers I play are SMN (which has a set but easy rotation) and RDM (which does not have a set rotation), and both of which have support (Raise and some healing). I've played WHM and SCH since ARR when I started the game, and never cared much for DoTs. That said, I understand people that liked those things. But I'm not one of them. I like the WHM change. I don't know why the AOE ability is not "Holy IV", but instant cast movement tool for burst but that isn't too onerous I like. I'm okay with that. SCH being my second healer, I still hate Dissipation and I will ALWAYS hate Dissipation from that first time I ever used it AND HAD TO RESUMMON EOS because it didn't do that when it was first added. I will always hate it (and mostly hate Energy Drain - I love Sacred Soil and Excog and ED is a pox because it prevents me from feeling as free to use them and it does crap for damage to not even be worth all the ink spilled over it; I've almost taken ED off my bars many times and I refuse to use Dissipation on principle until they make it NOT dismiss Eos - Eos is my friend and partner, stop kidnapping her! Is that really so hard to understand? T_T)
    AST I don't care about and don't play and probably won't, I liked SGE as kind of "SCH but less clunky", but now that it's a DPS-lite...kinda not interested so I guess I'm locked in on WHM/SCH going forward...which I'm fine with. : ) SGE can be for the people that like that stuff, I'm not one of those people, so I'll stick with WHM/SCH and be happy over here in my comfy spot. :D
    I'm glad SGE does what it does for the people that like that. I'm also glad that other healing Jobs are not being (to me) made worse/nerfed by being forced to have other damage buttons to muck with.

      You should try Dancer, the "rotation" is just to press the buttons that light up. And it also has an aoe heal on a 60sec cd you can use to heal the party if you like feeling helpful.
      No cast bars like Rdm or Smn either so it feels really freeing to play, especially with 3 stacks of gap closers you can use in any direction and without any target!

    Does Baneful Impaction remove "Impact Imminent" or can Baneful Impaction be used every GCD while Chain is up? (Same question for AST / Oracle/Divining)
    EDIT - I see in a different vid that yes, it is just one cast. That's a missed opportunity. Why not make it available for 20s? (Then, and hold your butts, some fights could be timed so that when the 2min burst window comes up, there's also a buttload of healing that's required, which would force you to make the tradeoff between using this damage oGCD or some healing oGCD during that time...whaaaaaa? actual decisions and trade-offs? no way....)
    Also, another (old) gripe for oGCD vs GCD not being clear in tooltips and tooltips being incomplete in terms of what happens (e.g. using Baneful Impaction removes Impact Imminent).

    This game is basically worse than a bad board game, it is so static in its design and one dimensional, that they would have to basically create a new engine with proper mechanics and net code WITHOUT SERVER F ING TICKS to acually make this a game with actual good engaging gameplay. The game is great story wise but utter SHYTE for actual gameplay, WoW is so far ahead of this game in terms of gameplay and class design it is not funny, and to say otherwise is pure bias and copism.

    Im sorry watching this video kinda annoyed me not going to lie... the way people are complaining about healers dps and wanting every healer to have the same amount of dps offgcds and aoe dots and etc is the reason the game got so homogenized and boring when it comes to Job identity and gameplay... I don't understand why is it such a bad thing to have different kits on different jobs, not everything has to be the same but different in graphics and animation... I swear some people can NEVER be happy with whatever they get, they will always complain (: I feel extremely sorry for Yoshi'P to have to put up with all this crap he is getting from this community... and then they will complain about the jobs being too similar to one another when it is YOUR fault for barking all this time :D.

      The issue is that all the healers dps already *is* homogenized... And on top of that, it's extremely boring. It boils down to keeping one 30 second dot up and spamming 111 in between. That's it.
      The only one that's *mildly* different is Sage because they get to press 2... Every 40 seconds...
      So how are you complaining about people wanting healers homogenized when they already are that..?
      How is wanting Scholar to have their dot kit back "homogenization". People are literally asking to make Scholar *unique* again.

      @@halosaft No I am not trolling. and ive watched the Video, I said I was annoyed because the only reason we reached this Point of having all healers spam 1 dps single target spell and 1 dot that last 30 seconds is because of people complaining, back in HW and SB thats all they've been doing. and after Poor Old Yoshi'P homogenized the healer's gameplay practically making all of them exactly the same with a little bit of difference, which is what they've been asking originally. now they are complaining and want jobs to be unique again, he even made a statement about this specific topic. oh and By the way. this issue is not only a healing Issue (: its basically the entire roster of roles / jobs.

    Tbh, the longer the game goes on, the more I feel as a SCH main, I feel like they added sage just to spite us.
    It's like out of all the healer archetypes you could have taken, you chose a book smart attacker that is a shield user. Like, for real, do you know what the identity of sch was, or did you guys on the development team just not care at all. They even went out of their way to kill off our fairy choices so honestly what is my identity as a sch I truly want an answer to this.
    Because I feel sage kinda outright steals the schs entire thing. And does it better. From a gameplay perspective, from a thematic standpoint I honestly see no reason to be proud to be a sch anymore and that sucks. 😢

    Im not saying that i love it, but at least give it a chance. See how it plays
    Each healer has its own identity, white mage is the pure one, astro lost its rng but its keeping the time magic and got more card buff options. Scholar is the tactician, and sage is the barbarian
    So, instead of looking at why are they taking from one and giving another, why dont we enjoy how unique each healer is now?

      if tanks weren't able to just keep themselves alive for long stretches of time without any input from the healers, maybe. but when you can see how long almost every tanking job can survive without them that means they either need to take self sustain away from tanking and make enemies hit harder, or they need to give good healers more to do than just push the same one button over and over to deal damage.

      @@anthonydelfino6171 Incorrect. A first aid kit works to fight infections, not enemies. Healers are the same mindset. You keep the party alive so that they can keep YOU alive. Healers do not engage, and if they MUST not only is that the fault of the tank and DPS, but the healer won’t make much effort due to primarily little options.
